Is there any way you could tell us a few of the features you guys are adding for multiplayer or is it too early? EDIT: thanks a million guys, you're making an awesome game. I love it.
Yes Escorts! I haven't figured that out yet. Just read racinggun's post - ok got it - I thought it was Escorts as in automatically having basically any ship follow and protect one main ship.
Escorts protect against damage, yes. They increase both attack and defense power for a squad. On squads such as the maintenance vehicle, that don't have any offensive ability, they add offensive ability. Also, a note about maintenance vehicles for blue - they naturally heal themselves, AND simultaneously heal other ships! So don't move them away, because they'll heal themselves as well.
Great game, you've scored very high marks with me yet again! A question on the escorts. For the red battleships, which spawn with 2/3 escorts, if you add one more to make it 3/3, the damage and defense goes up by 33%?
I love blue!!!!!!!! the micromanaging is awesome. I like all the lil ships that do different things and the healers. Both sides have very similar units with many different options. After playing with blue, I'd love a "scout" option. where the unit moves in a certain patter and if it finds an enemy it engages it!!!
A million times better than robocalypse. Controls are awesome. Allows really good control of the units. Controls are better than warfare Inc. although warfare inc is more true to PC rts games. Hoever, remember that your units dont attack while moving, cant zoom, and cant select all units. This game is very hard to get used to but once you do, it is beautiful and here are 3 different user-reviews: one, two, and three I do have all 3 by the way. You wont miss multiplayer with warfare inc that much either way since challenge missions are hard and either way, the devs said they're already workign on multiplayer.... A question for devs. Can we do multiplayer in 3g also as in 3g network...like edge....?
first level tutorial? Or the very first level? You can try reading the strategy guide and trying to slow down the speed Try to build a foundry first and then 1 or 2 attack units. Use the turtling command and then make harvesters. That should hold up so you can make a bigger force and then once you have enough attack blue
Hooray for online multiplayer. About the game controls, I've found myself pretty used to them, but still haven't delved into the formations and stuff, or any other type of more advanced moving, but I reckon I'll have to for the later campaign missions.
OMG - how can you ever compare? This game is AWESOME. Robocalypse is re-tar-ded.... no strategy... no control... bad taste in cutscenes... Well, Red Conquest would be the ultimate king if only wifi-online multiplayer was added...as I've already said. Which is currently the only advantage the other games have... With internet multiplayer, Red Conquest would be f**king FAN-tastic!! WAHOO!!! I don't mind whether or not 3g is available, but wouldn't it lag too much on that?
If only the dialog in modern politics were so complete, thoughtful, and dare I say, civil... It's a testament to how seriously this game has been received. I, personally, love it....and I'm not what could even remotely be called a gamer. And the fact that John and his team are actually checking in on this thread and posting such well thought out replies just makes me love the game more. Can't wait for the next few installments, and more over, can't wait for the next game. BTW, I would happily pay for the updates just to support the launch of Cat-In-A-Box. Best of luck!
Warfare Inc is great game. But I'm playing this now. I don't see myself playing WI for a while now. RED Conquest is a quicker play with much better graphics and control. I'm so glad I bought it.
The game is so clean and refreshing, and satisfying as well.. The other games don't really compare at all!
Yeah well due to following this thread it's spoiled that little secret.. I can't wait to try blue out, but i'm going to go through the campaign first. I love reds feel, but the graphics for blue are pretty cool.
