Just wanna let you guys know that there are minor issues I have came across: - Music and sound skipping during battles, just a few mins ago I completely lost all sounds, it wasn't my iPod as I immediately checked to see if it was but I can play my music just fine on my iPod with no problems, but the moment I returned back to the game there's no sound. - In battle during the "Move Phase" segment my cursor arrow would always randomly jump to the left when I wanted to press the "A" button. - In town in the Item Shop when trying to select items, it's very difficult to be precise and sometimes it would always select the same item, example: Item A Item B Item C Item D I wanted to purchase Item A *after purchasing Item C* but it always get stuck at Item C. Choosing between sub category like Weapon, Armor, Accessory is difficult too. I am using the second touch control scheme available in the game. (I didn't like virtual control as it is very obstructive). I am using iPod touch 5th Gen, running iOS 6.1.3. Edited: I gave up and used the Virtual Control.
Press 'select' just before you go into battle to turn it on/off. I love this game. It's especially well done for Tablets. The screens and information layout is awesome - the best I've seen. There are too many good things to list. Glad I bought this.
Agree, but you know what? I would love it if they release their future games on handheld like the PS Vita, touch control is great but nothing beats physical control.
That's why we pray for controller support Does anyone know if it's in the game yet? I read it was planned but not in yet, but then it was mentioned it was in so not sure what to think
I think it would just be awesome on the Vita; a dedicated handheld, haha. I saw gameplay of Agarest 2 and shooot I want that game! *heavy breathing*.
Pretty good! I didn't experienced any kind of game breaking control issues except during Item Shop (scroll up a bit to see my post). It's good if you don't expect too much and constantly comparing it to other SRPGs like FFT and Disgaea; this game is unique in its own way, do check out some YouTube videos.
Adding a new post because I can't do attachment via edit (I'm on my iPod using TA app). Anyone knows what this mean? Do they need 4 Silver Ore or do they require 16 Silver Ore (4 x 4)? This part is confusing me....
I agree with Dekar, but it is true that it's confusing. @peka Comparing to ios standard, it is a good game. You don't have so many like this one. Watch videos and if you like what you see, go for it.
its a japaneseism slot #1 requires a silver ore of which you need 4 total slot #2 requires a silver ore of which you need 4 total etc
If there's a 'Tactics' type JRPG I'm dying for on iOS, it would be Sega's Shining Force 3. Only thing that I'd be concerned about, is Sega's lazy porting approach. That being said, doubt this will ever happen.
I hope the dev will seriously take a look at the interface it feels so unpolished.. Once they get it right this gonna kick ass.. I just reached my first town.. Went into the adventure guild and looking at titles.. What kinda of interface is that ... Someone tell me how I scroll it.. Did they even QA it lol.. The game is different but the interface needs to follow some standards
wow! what a difference a weekend makes. I just finished reviewing the comments left by everyone and wanted to respond to as many of them as possible. 1. MFI - we commented on this is the "coming soon" thread, but since we updated the game before release i wanted to update here. we programmed MFI, we do not have a MFI controller. so we could not test MFI (there is no simulator) if you have a MFI that identifies itself as an "extended" profile MFI the game should auto switch to the MFI input. If you are not seeing this or are experiencing issue please contact our support directly @ [email protected] However until we get a controller or confirmation from some users they are not having issues, we are inclined not to put it in the game's description 2. Select button = Auto battle - it seems from what people are reporting that this was left out of the manual completely. it is also not entirely clear that select turns on auto battle. we will do what we can to update the manual and the mini-tutorial when you select new game. 3. touch mode styles - A button on right - i forget who wrote this... i do apologize, i would assume you are left handed? the idea was you would be touching the screen with your right hand and then since you would be holding the device with your left, the button was placed on the left side for ease of use. i will pass your comment to the developers. 4. camera rotation not always effective - unfortunately this was in the original XBOX360/PS3 game. the game is designed for those rotation angles and we can't change them. However i do believe one user said it already and i would agree. it appears this is mainly an issue for the intro map only, other later maps do not suffer from this issue. 5. list scrolling - if in virtual controller mode, left/right will page up or down. in touch mode, you can touch then drag your finger up/down and the list will scroll. please see the manual for more detailed steps. We will continue to read and monitor this thread. so please feel free to leave comments here, as well as on the iTunes store ^_^ If you do find a bug or have issues of any kind, our support staff is really helpful. please feel free to contact them at [email protected] for any and all issues.
Wow, awesome, along with the above I will definitely try this with mfi, that is awesome that you are trying to get it in. Now this is a must have!
Thanks hyoerdev.. Finally got the scrolling works lol.. What's MFI? I still have some questions on linking.. Let's say char A, B and C I can linked 3 of them up by any means right I do not need to follow the leader? Am I right.. Example A links B.. B links C.. All this while I thought all of them needs to link to the leader? As long as they are linked by any means the effect is the same.. Another question during the action phase after I executed certain skills the character switch positions and end up not linked anymore.. How do I determine that? Is there some kind of formula for this.. I want all of them stay linked all the time lol...
MFI = Made For iPhone, this is the acronym usually given to iPhone controller support. characters can be linked in any configuration you want and the character supports. the character with the highest agi and Ap combination will be used for determining attack order. that character does not need to participate in the linked attack. skill order does not matter however if a skill can be linked with an earlier skill (and you don't want it to be) please be careful of order. example A and B make a skill and B and C make a skill. ordering A -> B ->C will link A and B, ordering A -> C -> B will link C and B (assuming A and C do not make a skill) where the character moves... i believe it is as close as required for the skill's use. i.e. if the skill can be used from 4 squares away and you are 5 squares you will move 1 square. if you are 3 squares away the character will not move. the actual algorithm for character placement i have no clue. if anyone has figured it out your best bet is to check the Wiki page. i would say that is part of the game. speaking of the Wiki page. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them. their pages were especially helpful to use during development. if you are a wiki kind of person and have some spare time please post info back into the wiki.
