Also, one request for the dev, I uam using the control scheme attached below but I couldn't find an option ir ways toake the "A" button on the right, if you could implement a new scheme where A is on the right and B on the left that would be perfect, thanks.

    Game Impressions

Just start playing the game today and I am loving and enjoying it so much. This is the best game so far of this year. You never know how fun would it be when you play it on your bigger screen with airplay mirroring, my iPhone just turned into the controller, there is nothing on the phone but just all the buttons. The game of course deserve A 5 stars rate. Great job!

Great video! Let's discuss combo skills! So far I got "Broken Hilt" and another one called "Sonic Wave?" What other combo skills you guys have discovered?

I am still on the fence for this one.

Is it possible to run away from the random encounters? Even in classical RPGs, I flee the random ones sometime (too many random encounters, kill the fun). If not, I kind of understand the 100 hours of gameplay.

Let me guess... The price ;-)

I read that it was impossible to flee from battles, no matter if it was random or mandatory ones. Can someone confirm that?

Well yes. I mean I have a lot of the pricier games too but I just feel like new games come out every week and at any time one of them can grab my attention and I could possibly totally forget about this one and there goes $15 you know?

I understand. This is why I ask these questions, 15$ is not easy to throw away :)

Apparently you need to be later in the game to get more combo skills. I believe the next one you can get after yours is "TRAP HIT" + "RUSH". For early game, I realized that SONIC BLAST combo is your most powerful combination attack. You'll need to abuse it constantly.

Also I had a problem getting my magic casters killed after the 2nd boss battle in random encounters. I realized that the "beginner set" in iap is really really helpful. You'll get the resurrect spell so you don't have to keep wasting your revive items. The game is not very lenient with revivals/deaths since reviving actually costs a lot (500 for the item and 100 for in-town). Game is giving me a nice challenge!

I would normally agree with you (I have some really good games I haven't finished), but you have to think of what you're paying for. You're paying for a huge console game vs. 16 or so other 99 cent games that may gave you only some gratification or you may even regret another purchase. With this I know I'm supporting RPGs and getting my money's worth. I'll probably take a break after my honeymoon phase wears off but I know I'll always have a lot to come back to later!

If you make an English voice over option, you will have another sale#

Pretty sure there never was English to begin with but that's not going to happen. The dev even stated that. Sorry bud.

However, don't you prefer listening to things in their original language? I do. There's english text so Japanese is not a bother. In my opinion, if this was all in English, I'd have to think a bit before buying it.

@L.Lawiet Is it true that you cannot avoid random encounters?

It is a true console experience and this is why I am interested. But, I don't want to spend on a game I will not like. I saw videos and I think that I may enjoy this game; however, I am pulled back by the length of the battles. I don't mind long battles in general, except for the random ones.

correct there is no run option.

there are only random encounters in the dungeon, not on the world map. and while there is a reasonable encounter rate, i've made it through the first dungeon without one encounter.

in otherwords unless you are deep dungeon diving OR want an random encounter you need not worry.

^ Yeah what he said. I actually don't know if you can dodge in the world map since I'm one of the "grinder" type people. I'll fight extra battles to level up. However I couldn't find a run option.

Thank you musikit and L.Lawiet for your answer.

I will give the weekend to see if I am still interested in this game :)

Let's put it this way... The game was designed for console play.. The interface to navigate is not meant for touch devices.. I had a hard time figuring out how to get out from a menu... Until I found out u need to navigate the back arrow... I mean where's the close menu button..

I am playing this on iPad they graphics no way near FFT..

As for combat... Hmm I dunno..I never figure out how it works maybe I am not mean for such complicated game lol

I think it's not too complicated. It's just that when you don't know how they work, it looks like a lot of menus.

As for graphics compared to FFT I'd say they're pretty close. FFT ultimately will be better because they RE-DID their graphics. FFT pre-revision is most likely worse than this. The graphics in here are pretty sharp minus some character images (oddly) and the special scene artwork. I am curious why the scene artworks look so bad.
