Still wondering about that DLC/IAP is it a sidequest story? I think this is a port from a PS3 and XBOX game.
The confusing mess of DLC/IAP is a big part of what gave had prevented me from trying the PC edition; I can't figure out how to see what IAP Google Play has but he following website does a good job of breaking down the DLC (aslo check Steam page). Short version: It's all extra experience/skill point cheats or more powerful weapons except for 4 dungeon packs (dungeon packs come free with PC/PSN/XBOX edition so likely included here too). Aw man I was hoping this would be out magically. I don't think I've been this excited for a game the entire 2014 year. Seriously. Look at all the new RPGs that have come out for ios mobile. Almost nothing. Not counting Kemco, the scene is prettied dried. Anyhow, I actually own this game physically but I never had time to play it. Got the big box and everything I'm hoping this will run on my ios6. I hope the dev can clear that up at least. All the old games by HyperDev are great and had low ios requirements. So it seems after submission, Apple will tell you when the game will come out? So it seems like we still have a while to wait Damn it.
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately in terms of developer incentive)I doubt Record of Agarest War will be cheap. HyperDevBox's other SRPG games both go for $13.99 (Spectral Souls, Blazing Souls Accelate) so I'd expect Agarest War to be similar. Agarest is $14.99 on Steam, $14.63 on Google Play.
i think apple already approved this app. HyperDevbox might just waiting for the best time to release it (Friday).
I hope the "best" time is today. Okay at least let it release Wednesday night for NZ and everywhere else after.
Hello, We are a Japanese company and have been trying to import a MFI controller for over a month now. In the end we decided that considering the long import time, releasing the game without MFI support from day 1 was the best option. We do plan on adding MFI support as soon as possible. Hint: it will be extended controller only. Basic controller does not have enough buttons for this game. The price will be similiar to the android version. Although Apple does not allow pricing on anything other then $.99 increments. I don't know the current android price, but i could expect it to be priced within $1 of the android version. As far as the actual release date. We received many comments from Apple, and are reviewing those comments on how best to proceed. As far as the differences between PC/PS3/XBOX/Steam vs. Android/IOS i can only say what we know. the steam version is a port of Agarest Generation of War. and the android/ios version is a port of Record of Agarest War. While the story and maps and battles MAY be 100% the same. if you review the Agarest Wiki you will see they are different games. Also i believe someone commented on the size being smaller so being less of a game? that is completely not true. The original DVD had space for full MPEG 2 video. we use MP4. similiarly with the voices and sound effects. Also we have tons of compression tools built in house which we use on all our games to save as much space as possible for our mobile fans.
Hi HyperDevbox! I'm very excited for the release of this game and I hope it comes out soon. Can you let me know if this will run on ios 6.0? I noticed all your old games had older firmware requirements which were great. It allowed me to play on so many devices. Will this still be the case here? I certainly hope so!
Hello, The game is marked ios 5.0 and higher. we try to support as old an OS as apple will allow us. I.E. we will continue to support 5.0 as long as apple will not reject us for supporting 5.0 only device requirement is 512MB RAM or better.
@vii-Lucky we don't have an iPod touch 5gen for testing. our test devices are an iPad2 and and iPhone 4. both of which run the game at its original 30fps
