Sorry Pixelbite Oh thats great And I do appologize to Pixelbite for F-ing up their comments page, just some people don't understand a joke. Whatever, I can't wait for Reckless Racing. Make it a dope game Pixelbite.
Again Seriously, one person whines about the game followed immediately by a person whining about the person whining. It is an endless cycle, don't you guys get tired of doing it?
Wow! Did u see the lighting and water effects in the latest trailer! Looks amazing, I just hope those good graphics are not for 3GS only
The PR department for Pixelbite is not great IMO, they'll lose a few customers over that but looking at the game for the people who appreciate good games this is worth waiting for.
Are you guys serious? Can you stop throwing the childish insults at each other and concentrate on the game. If you want to troll take it somewhere else
second that, Is this thread about a game....for a moment I thought I'd logged on to "I like to whine.com."
I will bet $200 that every single person who posted on this thread will buy the game the second it comes out, regardless of the content of their post.
You cannot ignore the anger of the users here. They have every reason to complain. A developer posts images and video of a game and claims it will be out very shortly. Those people stop back daily to see when it comes out... They continue to do this for several months... Absolutely no more updates aside from "soon" come from the devs. But of course "soon" is what they were told originally. After a while one cannot feel but played with like a pawn by the devs for their own hype. The mistake by the devs here was premature advertising with a promise of "soon". Soon is a relative term that means different things to different people. To some it is a week, to me, less then a month, to others... Who knows... Some of us have reached our "soon" limit, others have not. Those who claim they wont buy the game may or may not. But this i am sure, if the game is less then perfect the backlash will be brutal
Pretty well thought out comment IMHO. I would also add that what seems the biggest error on the developers part probably comes down to a lack of experience marketing their product. They could learn alot from the Revolutionary Concept guys, over in the Frogman forum, who have kept waiting for their game fun with a constant stream of contests, photo teasers, and open communication. Regardless of the Reckless Racing marketing flub - I'm still gonna pick it up b/c it looks like it'll be fun, and really it would make no sense to rob myself of this game b/c the developer seems to have had difficulty on the maketing front.
It looks great, but I don't like the looks of the interface. It just looks kind of cheap to me. I think that the forward and backwards arrows should be replaced with a brake and pedal. Also, the pause button shouldn't be so slanted and the caution sign in the top right should just be a normal caution sign. I don't know what you could do to improve the left and right arrows... By the way, will there be a lite version?
When the game is finally delivered I'll probably pick it up, AFTER I read some positive impressions. The devs have lost a bit of my respect after this PR flub. But then again, they don't care a lick about toucharcade, as we are only a very small portion of iDevice users. But maybe they were bought out by EA and can't say anything. If so, though, why can't they tell us that? Just very bad PR. The game might be great. Dev communication, on the other hand, is horrible. From now on, my advice to them is STFU and when the game has been submitted then okay. All this is my opinion.
