Is this where I complain about an awesome looking game without considering the reasons that it may be delayed and be considerate to the devs?
@da shiz wiz complain away. i'm not going to, since i've got other stuff to play that can put my mind off this, perhaps even make me forget about it, but i'm sure moaning is the other possibility.
In all seriousness, pick up LilRacerz an' Cubed Rally Racer and you'll be set 'til DeliverRecklessHillbillySassafras gets completely sorted. Then we'll all throw a big freakin' party, cuz we'll have THREE awesome racers to enjoy, each with their own tasty flavah! *finger dance*
jepp poor reply. somehow I think we're loosing interest (like this game, its called edge or something from EA )
There is a big difference between waiting for a game for 6 months, after having the release date brought up and constantly "delayed", and a game that has been in development for a long while but no release date is given yet. Pretty sure they were mocking the folks that are complaining about delays and name changes. They weren't doing it themselves.
Cubed Rally Racer really is great. And I'm gonna have to +1 to the suggested DeliverRecklessHillbillySassafras title!!
Hind site is always 20/15 i have heard... or something like that . Obviously they didn't expect to have the delays. I for one hope they continue to talk about future games as they are developing them to get feedback from users(good or bad) and give estimates on release dates even if they get delayed. Release dates slip on software development... it happens. They should always state that release dates can change if problems come up every time they mention any release date estimates. All I know is that the quality of this game looks to be top notch. We are all just getting anxious about the game. Fellow TA'rs... lets keep this thread positive. You know that once this game releases all of the delay talk will be forgotten because the game looks like one of the best going by the screenshots. There is no doubt in my mind this will be on the top selling list quickly if they can get the word out about the game by some reviews on a bunch of forums and get some quick itunes reviews going for it. It is very important for them to wait until the game is QA'd very well though because if there is a major glitch some users might give it a bad score in itunes which could hurt them. The wait I am sure will payoff for us... be patient... it will be ready when it is ready. On a good note madmud101 will be getting a free copy going by the previous posts in this thread .
Really? Hey I can think of plenty of games that looked great, waited on forever, and was complete crap when finally released (Flick Baseball and Splinter Cell more recently come to mind). Bottom line is this is where people can state their opinions about games as well as their gripes. If your going to make release dates, better be prepared to deal with uproar when you cant make your date. At the very least be prepared to be responsive and let your excited yet understandably frustrated fan base know what the status is on a regular basis. The notion that its the customers fault if developers dont make release dates or updates available about upcoming games is obnoxious. No matter what, they will always have to market their product before and after release and people complaining, making fun or whatever on this site or any other will never have an effect on this.
they were shooting for a simaltanious release of the game on iphone/andriod devices, i bet the delay is due to the android port....just be patient jesus, theres so many apps i have 10 pages of games enough to tide me over haha...especially now prince of persia retro is out at 99 cents its a steal.
Losing Interest... You know, in April I was so exited for this game to come out that I would check the app store 2-3 times a day. Now it is almost June, and this is starting to become extremely ridiculous. The developers act like they are just to busy to post their progress with the game, but the silly thing is, it's so easy to write a post. That's only 5 extra minutes of your day, you could log on to the web before bed, on your lunch break, etc. But they are trying to make us guess what's going on and it is really starting to get rather stuped. Why don't they just tell us that its still in QA testing? Why don't they just tell us they are having technical difficulties? In stead of us wasting time out of our day to check if it came out yet, just tell us if it will still be a few weaks, whatever. Communicate with us Pixelbite! I'm starting to lose my intrest on this game fast, and many of my friends who liked this game were excited for this game to come out in March, April and May, that now they don't even care about when it comes out, they lost all their intrest. I just hope this game comes out very soon, if not, at least keep us updated on the progress even if it is the same news some days. Hope to hear from you soon, Pixelbite... CE
I have feeling this is going to be great. I cant wait, but i think the should have waited to announce it. The hype seems to die down after a bit. Oh well, day one buy for me.
It is an iPhone game, most games are announced at most a month in advance. With most games being so small people will forget anything longer
Awesome first post. And by "awesome" I mean "disproportionately angry for an iPhone game you'll only avoid buying if you want to spite the developers for not communicating with your entitled ass." It's a game. They're trying to make it the best game they can. Sometimes that means taking longer to do it. Sometimes that even means ship dates slip, maybe due to unexpected problems or bugs, maybe because they missed a few spots with the varnish. Either way calm the hell down. It'll get released when it gets released and not a moment sooner.
