Reckless Racing - An amazing looking top-down racer (Coming Soon -for real this time)

I also thought that "Deliverance" was a better name. Although I couldn't really care less about the name, just as long as the game is good.

Reckless Racing just sounds cheap and like the millions of junk apps stinking up the store



edit:- I actually think the same the same reason is hindering the excellent Raging Thunder 2's sales, that game is much better than it's title suggests

Right up until this point, I have always misread as Deliverance, lol
Now it makes sense.

 

I agree that reckless racing is a bad name and might put people off but it won't affect the quality of the game

 

ROFL i just realized i have been calling this game deliverance the entire time HAHA.....that would be why they changed the name of the game...deliverance is also a book for sale in the app store.....

lol, I too mistook the name for deliverance. You guys should have called it that, it sounded awesome! I'm not sure how I feel about "reckless racing" it just doesn't have the same ring as deliverance (not deliverace). Oh well, I'll still probably buy this day one.

I was also misreading it, I thought screenshots looked good but then I thought I hope there isn't any banjo playing hillbillies in it. Once I re read it I was more interested in it.

 

Has the cultural memory of the movie "Deliverance" been lost over time for younger people? ...Dudes on vacation in Georgia being menaced, hunted, and sodomized by crazy hillbillies? Dueling banjos? Is that all lost on young people?
The book/movie traded on outlandish stereotypes, but to this day I am scared of ever visiting the southern Appalachians.

Anyway... The title "Deliverace" was trading on that southern hillbilly theme.
I never actually liked the title. It was awkward and trying too hard to be clever.
But "Reckless Racing" is worse. It sounds totally generic. They need to highlight that "dirty south" theme. I'd have gone with "Redneck Racing" if I had any say in the matter.

 

Redneck racing is a really good idea. Deliverace would've been too confusing for most people, especially non-English speakers.

 

I would go as far as to suggest "Reckless Rednecks!".

 

Why release it for android?? Android version won't make much money...why not a psp version??

 

a touch screen game..on a non touch screen device...that would take SO MUCH LONGER and you would have to do SO MUCH MORE in the app!
