When a developer is sleeping around with a publisher, they all use the same language: The game is done, but something is going on that we can't say, but trust us - it will make the game better for us and for you! Which, take note - It's usually NOT better for us. Games that stay indie published get way more updates with way more future content. Larger, Split Published games are mostly untouched (except for bug zapping...which I don't buy half the time anyhow, cheap way to get mentioned on many lists, but many people already know that) I would bet this is a Publisher deal. If it is, don't expect to see this game until July or August at the earliest.
owell, i hope they dont delay or harm the game too much... i dont know about july but im gonna be really mad if they got our hopes up for april and wont release until august....!!!
Awaiting Their Facebook and Twitter accounts are very very quiet. Why so. Say something. These are like blank billboards.
No Twitter update for 18 days now. These guys could really be gaining speed on the hype train if they weren't so hush hush.
If they got a publisher for the game (which seems likely), I am almost certain that they were told to shut the hell up. Publishers will always want to control the flow of information about their games.
iThot they have been very stingy about sharing info right from the beginning. Does tht mean they already had the publisher decided? viz. Even before the thread was created
I don't think Pixelbyte had a publisher from the beginning. Their last game was released by Polarbit, and from what I understand, while Deliverace uses PB's Fuse development environment, this game was not intended for them.
Here's something to ponder . . . posted March 29,2010 by admin : http://www.polarbit.com/2010/03/new-preview-of-deliverace/ If they have found a new publisher; then, why does Polarbit still have this up on their official polarbit.com website?!!!
Because it's made with Polarbit's cross-platform middleware, Fuse. Nowhere does it say that it will be a Polarbit title.
If there's a delay i hope it's for the right reasons:---Hope they are taking time to add in more content. there are only 2 things that could ruin this amazing game---- controls and lack of content.Hope they take care of both.
Just checked Twitter - still nothing new, 20 days and counting. I would expect tomorrow to come and go with no Deliverace . . . Any info would be good info, even if its been delayed for improvements. Here's hoping the developer will chime in on what's going on with their hint that April would be the month.
