The car we used as inspiration was the General Lee from Dukes of Hazzard, so that would make it a Charger. It's also my favorite car in the game, feels just heavy enough. And speaking of Ignition, our lead-programmer used to work at the company that developed Ignition. He didn't work on that particular game though.
A Charger will do just fine Anyway, nice to see some more iPhone games developed locally (i.e. skåne). Best of luck! I and Andreas will pick up a copy for sure.
Holy crap, this looks damn impressive. The graphics are spectacular, and the action looks loads of fun. The controls and sensitivity remain to be seen though -- it's hard to tell by the video, but it seems to imply that it's either easy to oversteer, or the cars are front wheel drive and the rear tires are made of butter. Although I see that there will be numerous vehicles to play with and each will have their own particular attributes, so that'll be cool. Either way I am absolutely keeping an eye out for this. Any ideas on a submission date?
Looks so good it is stupid. Really looking forward to it - however I still have my doubts about the controls, but if the are good then I'm in heaven. But still a sure first day purchase anyway. Impressive work.
Looks awesome, can't help but worry about the controls though. How much content is there? It seems to me that something this graphically impressive might slack on content to keep the filesize down.
Holy crap this looks so tight. Graphics are fantastic, I like the top down style, and you can push other racers around!
Wow impressive trailer with really gorgeous graphics. I don't like CAR racers in particoular, but the trailer really already sold the game to me (if only I coul have an Ultima 7 style game with that graphics!!!). It reminds me Death Rally from Apogee, if I recall well I spent months on that game. Impressive!!!
this looks like a really great game. I love drifting in racing games and this is all drift. I would love to try this game out.
Sure, we've got the usual left/right/accelerate/brake buttons, and a "tank" control where you have auto-throttle and simply press the left or right side of the screen to turn that way (brake button in the middle), tilt steer, and today we added a sort of relative slide mechanic that lets you steer by sliding your finger left or right. Functions pretty much as a regular steering wheel since you can place your finger anywhere and slide just the amount you want to steer. Lifting your finger centers the steering again.
