Here's a couple of more screens, showing a new garage and 2 more cars. The garage is a work in progress, as we are still trying to figure out what kind of tools and equipment to fill it up with... and a pinup calendar might be needed as well?
@PixelGames Very excited for this. I loved the first title. Just please tell me it will not be the same debacle as last time w the release getting pushed back again, and again, and again. I dont mind when a company pushes a game back if the end result means a better product. But this game was just in limbo for what seemed like an eternity. I just remember hearing about the first game and then hearing nothing else for months and months. it was a huge topic and discussion here in the forums. do u have a release date? or approximate release date thats actually in the ball park? The promotion of the first game was very frustrating.
Sorry but mini motor racing just stole the top down racer crown.. Let's hope reckless racing 2 can be as good .
Not to worry, we have learned our lesson with Reckless 1 and will not take anything for certain again. It was a frustrating time for us as well, but things were out of our hands for that release. We wanted to release RR2 by christmas, but we have decided ourselves to push it until early next year instead of cutting features or rush the development. So you have time to pickup Mini Motor while you wait. I just did as well.
With mini motor racing , death rally.. All I need is reckless racing 2 for a complete top down racers heaven
To the devs, your new game.. Tank riders, doesn't have gamecenter..can I assume reckless racing 2 will have gamecenter....?
We have GameCenter achievements for sure. We're not sure how we'll do with leaderboards, since GameCenter currently only allows for 25 leaderboards and no extra data (such as downloadable ghost cars of your friends). And that won't be enough to cover Reckless Racing 2.
This is awesome news! glad tht you are bringing it urself to the AppStore like rg & others. one question is unanswered though.... guns included? another question, unasked yet... devices supported? as it's about a lot of eye candy & a5s have been the heart of the latest iDevices, are the 2nd gen axed? it was awesome to have the original play so smoothly on the 2nd gen iPod touch, I cannot express in words. waiting for the 5th gen iPod specs to decide upon when to upgrade, I think "death rally" missed out a lot of devices & early adopters that they gave away their game free of cost! (or was it just to enter the top 10?) I am sure a lot of gamers know bout tht game, also it was advertised with the past details & all. sorry to deviate the thread a lil bit, back to... yeah, devices supported & guns or no guns (I personally don't think you all will include them, but it'll be awesome to have them & you could take you sweeeeeet time to show us the teaser wit guns!)
I just can't wait for RR2. I've been playing a lot of Drift Legends, which is a pretty solid top down drifting game. However, it lacks the great graphics which makes RR so great. Now, if you guys where to add a few tracks you could drift on and where you got points for drifting, (instead of just fastest around the track) this game would possible be the best "top down" racer ever released, period. I know i would highly recommend it to my drifting friends should that be a possibility in future updates
I wouldn't expect any guns in Reckless 2, but a drift mode has been planned. It's something we wanted to do for a long time! Also, here's another car from the garage! We'll release a new screenshot or two every week from now on.
