Universal Reckless Racing 2 - (by Polarbit) - Universal App

There is a thread on here that lists all of the game that support it. I love mine but I do wish more game supported it.

 

Definitely worth it now that Blutrol is available.

 

Here's my Reckless Racing 2 config (iPad):

As you can see, I've reorganized the buttons so that the brake / gas can also be accessed via the D-pad. However, I've also added a separate button to gas too - that is, giving gas can be done by both "up" and the button.

With Blutrol, the game runs just fine on the iPad 2.

 

@Polarbit and @Pixelbite is there any way to remove the #1 and #2 guy from the Leaderboard? It's the same person and he has 10Million points since day one.

 

I'll check with Polarbit, but I think it's possible to remove him.

 

It would be great news if you can remove cheaters from the leaderboards. There is one thing you should change in multiplayer. Would be great if the people not hosting the room could see what track they are going to race in, so they can change their car according to the race type.

 

Has anyone else noticed the Framstupa Cup ends after only 3 races, if you do not win the 3rd round (Elimination)?

Or did I need to unlock the last race by finishing first in the 3rd race.. ?

I can confirm the new update fixes the Master of Arcade achievement.

 

Something happened to the game after the update. It keeps suffering from lag and crashes. I restarted my 4g ipod touch but I still get a pretty bad lag during campaign races.

 

Man, that sucks!

This is why I never update until I see if the devs broke something.

 

Thanks! In the meantime, bought the game, played a lot with my iControlPad + BluTrol combo (perfectly working - of course, in digital mode) and currently have a 400 IP(?) car.

However, I'd certainly welcome native iCade or, even better, analogue iCP support. Noone knows when Apple forces current A5 users to switch to an OS version that isn't jailbreakable...

 

Whenever Game Center connects I do see a lag for a few seconds and periodically the game will crash at the start of a race and this is even before the update. Wondering now if I should even update in case this makes it worse or download it to see if it possibly makes it better.

Update works good on my iPod 4g and iPad. 2 both jailbroken running 5.01.

So glad the update fixed the challenges achievement. It was bugging me that I had one sitting there that I couldn't get.

IPad is back from geting repared and after playing through several tracks/races I have to say Reckless Racing has done it. I could not think of how it could be improved beyond the first version but the graphics, sounds, feel and gameplay are stunning and great. Excellent job. And a bit of a side note, the icon rocks. I spend a lot of time thinking about icon art and this one really stands out. Who designed it?

Next I am going to dive into multiplayer. It would be nice to have the game hooked up to Game Center. I don't really want to be logged into an exclusive leader-board.

Is there any chance for an iCloud savegame feature? Play on iPad <> iCloud <> iPhone??

 

I'm having the same problems as others... There is some lag and I can't play a single race without the app crashing. Weird!

 

It often crashes on my iPad 1 and the graphics aren't that good.

Hopefully they will update this game and make the graphics better like what Firemint did for Real Racing 2 HD for the iPad 1.

I understand that the iPad 1 has limited capacity and it looks the best on the iPad 2, but I think the devs could make the graphics look a little more better on the ipad 1 so it won't hurt your eyes with you play it.

 

Took the plunge and upgraded to 1.0.1. No problems / crashes at all on my JB'n 5.0.1 iPad 2 + iCP (BluTrol) + non-pirated RR2 combo.
