I, on the other hand, do not As a non-racer-kinda guy, this is probably the most entertaining (pure) racing game I've ever played. So, good on yers But I still cannot access the leaderboards. I e-mailed you the other day asking you to re-activate my account (that evidently was created back in RR1), but now it seems like I also need my password reset. I've tried all password I might have used to register my account for RR1, and not a single one applies. And thanks for an otherwise very polished gaming experience!
Dear pixelbite, Yes it's sad that I don't find RR2 fun. To be fair, I loved the first one and I'm also a big fan of Reckless Getaway. So let's be honest here, do you really think the cars in RR2 controls just as good as the cars in RG or even RR1? In RR1 there was a mounting thrill when drifting through a corner or the edges of a hill, while risky maps as still present here, the thrill is not for me. Even when compared to the excellent Reckless Getaway, again the driving just doesn't have that intensity and the controls... I can barely keep my car going straight... Seem like one tap of the arrow simply turn the car too much. And I won't say anything about the wheel for if you guys tried it yourselves, you must surely know how horrible it is. Finally, it's good that the game have multiplayer like the first one. However if you have put all this effort in the campaign, the same should have gone to the multiplayer to ensure that it's NOT ABOUT everyone picking the fastest car all the time. I 've played about perhaps 30 races online and 95% of racers besides me and few others were jus using the fastest car, so where is balance? All will be forced to use the fastest car or lose, even if they would prefer to use their favorite ride. Plz ad some sort of for different car lobbies online. I'll be more fun that way! Sorry for the rant!
love this game, but i wish there was a feature similar to the autolog for each individual event, so that if i'm in a 5 lap race and i'm well in front in by the third lap you can still race to beat your friends records. also i wish the visual mods and paints were free or cheaper, apart from that loving it Edit: also iCloud would be awesome
Just wanted to pop in and say the half-wheel does NOT suck. I absolutely love playing w/ half-wheel/chase cam. Gives you much more control for precise adjustments. Did TA change their forum system in the last year or two? I know I've been a member, but I had to re-register. Maybe I just forgot my login, oh well.
I'd like to add my voice to request not to change anything in the way the game handles. Its perfect the way it is now. Default controls are fine. We just need to get used to them. There is a sensitivity bar that would let you set them up to your liking. It doesn't take long to unlock stuff. Not like MMR or DR. I wish the devs wouldn't change anything in the gameplay except may be optimize it a bit more to remove slight infrequent lag. I would really like to see the country tracks from the original with running streams. Those were great. I like the fact that this game requires skill and that upgrades to make a difference in the way the game handles. There are plenty of spots where the car can run off the track or fly off the cliff (I've hit them all) and it is extremely exciting to have your car drift around the corner raising a cloud of dust and then zoom forward without loosing much speed. I don't remember last time I had that much fun racing without blowing up other cars.
It's great to hear of more tracks, cars and game modes to come but please keep the core of this game as is and not be swayed otherwise. I'm really enjoying this game as most everyone else is because it actually requires skill (along with upgrades) to make it a worthy challenging game.
Great game! I loved the first one but felt it was too short. This time, it's perfect. I love the car customization and massive amount of tracks. HOWEVER, that being said. I do miss the Delivery minigame from the first RR -- please bring it back, people need their moonshine! Also, more shortcuts and crap to crash in to (e.g: barrels, boxes, shacks, chicken coops, hedges) would add heaps more fun, I suppose some might say, more reckless. Perhaps even slip in a cop chase mode or two? === Those who say the car handling sucks hasn't spent enough time playing around with the tuning section of the game. With patience, you can set up your car and control steering sensitivity to suit a track and your driving style. On fast tracks I've better handling with 20 - 30% sensitivity (less oversteer) and on tighter tracks 40 - 50% sensitivity works best. I use the Full Wheel steering. For fast straight tracks, too much Handling will result in a very snappy car that'll oversteer too much in corners. On tight twisty tracks, Speed is useless as you'll never get your car up to speed anyway, instead raise Acceleration & Handling. Maxing out the wrong stats without taking into consideration the track layout and type is going to lead to some very frustrating races. Just my 2c.
You need to contact Polarbit support, and they better help you. The leaderboards system is out of our control I'm afraid.
I finished all of the 40 arcade challenges, but did not get the achievement for it. Has anyone else completed these, and if so, did you get the achievement?
We have submitted a patch to Apple already, it should fix the issue with the achievement, among other things.
Awesome! Thanks for the quick response. I also opened a support ticket as well, but looks like it wasn't needed.
So, I finished all the career races with gold medals, and then... nothing. No achievement or "Congrats!" screen or anything. Kinda weird! I got the last gold medal and there's not much sense of accomplishment now. Still, really fun game! Time to try the arcade challenges...
I apologize if this was discussed already, but does it support icade? If not this is the perfect game to support it! Any plans to?
Can't figure out how to play multiplayer. When I tap the multiplayer icon the next menu is totally blank. What gives?
