It's really a great game, i just can't stop playing it. Been having some fun drifting around the tracks http://youtu.be/vQc-mbuHhtU
Death Rally was a very good game BUT ruined totally by In-App Purchases for real money. Don't support that dev! Go to the tA thread and read the last postings. People who bought it had to pay once more for features like special weapons @ multiplayer.
5 stars... Nice! What's this stuff about "dynamic difficulty" though? I'd rather have a constant difficulty level and option of choosing from easy, medium and hard difficulty settings.
If you wanna have a blast, death rally. Otherwise, this! Death Rally's multiplayer is lag-free and amazing fun EVEN WITHOUT EVER PURCHASING ANYTHING! Oh and anyone who tells you that you have to pay to win is a complete moron! RR2 on the other hand strives to be the top-down equivalent to Real Racing 2, unfortunately Real Racing 2 isn't as slow and boring. But you never know, you may like it better than DR and That'd be fine by me! However if fun is all you care about and want to trash some tiny toy cars around on tiny tracks, it doesn't get any better than Mini Motor Racing!
SO.... i tried Mini Motor Racing... only got to the Fruit Ninja Cup 1... Progress is slow, pisses me off how i have to repeat races like 10 times for 1 upgrade so i can try and win first place in a cup where speed is dominant(my car is built for handling and accel). I'm disappointed Never played Death Rally, or Reckless Racing 1.... Real Racing 2 isn't for me.... Is this game worth the 5$ considering what I have mentioned?
Sad to hear that you find Reckless Racing 2 so boring compared to the first one. We know we can't satisfy everyone out there, but that doesn't mean we can't try. So we are working on expanding the game with new tracks, cars and game modes, and hopefully we can get some more "Reckless" feeling into those. And as always, if anyone have suggestions, just let us know!
It all depends what you like in top down racers. I understand how you feel about MMR almost forcing you to repeat many cups just to earn money, but MMR is really about focusing on one car and learn how to use that car well. I am now using the "racer" which has great handling and decent acceleration and top speed and while it's not very fast when it comes to corners, that's where I tend to abuse the AI racers. But whether you will like RR2 depends on if you prefer customization over fun. I personally want to enjoy the actual race and put very little weight on customization and new unlocks. But what I can tell you for sure is you will not find MMR's very precise controls here. Also the way MMR cars behave under g-force in corners, you will not find such animation/physics here. But since you hate how stengy MMR is with money, RR2 gives you plenty of cash and you should be able to buy and fully upgrade the last car in about 5 hours of play. I hope the above helped.
Just whatever you do, don't change the core gameplay experience pease. Trying to please everyone is a surefire pathway to failure, and the overwhelming cosensus is that this sequel is already superiour to the original game. Just don't want to see you do something silly like adding rubber band AI or in any other way taking away from the racing experience. This game is unique among top down racers in its more sim-like feel; please think long and hard before you take any chance of compromising that.
nice, tnc for the info i just want a fun racer, that needs skill instead of relying on upgrades in order to win.... upgrades are something that add longevity to me, but it shouldn't determine the outcome... anyone can grind for better upgrades but doesn't necessarily know how to play well... does RR2 fit the bill in that regard?
He's just been trolling. I've played RR2 extensively, and like others, can say this an excellent sequel. You guys overhauled the first in a majorly good way. I can also say that there is plenty of recklessness to be had in this game. I think what he wants is a bunch of cars ramming your car every 5 seconds like in MMR. Even with that, MMR doesn't compare to the excitement that you get from RR2 or Death Rally. I admit that after the updates, I quite like MMR, but it's no where near the same level as RR2. Yes! I mean all you have to do is look over all the reviews and comments by users, and you'll see us drooling over this game. I'd suggest watching a few YouTube vids to get a sense of the gameplay if you're still on the fence. Also, yes to your second post.
Thank god for that! It's an awesome game pixelbite, way better than RR1 imho! keep up the exellent work! there will always be haters no matter what!
In my opinion the game physics are great and I've been worried that if there were any changes done to it i would be afraid to patch the game. Glad to hear that you guys are keeping it the way it is. Really looking forward to new cars, tracks and the new "drift mode". I wish people would be more constructive in their criticism of the game instead of just saying "this game sux" or "Other racers are a lot better" etc. This game is worth more than the little money it cost. Check out the RR2 review on the TA frontpage.
To bad fanboys have no credibility. I downloaded RR2, played it, didn't like it. I have the right to express that just as much as you have the right to express your love for it. Grow up!
