Hmm...maybe you got a bad install. That's happened to me before on other games, but after I deleted an re-installed them, they worked like a charm.

It kinda sucks if that's the case cause you'll lose your progress.

I've been using the tank because I can turn into my drifts better.

@Pixelbite Any plans to make the wheel like MMR, especially after quite a few complaints?

Don't feed the troll. That list wasn't even meant for him.

Thanks for the advice. I have tried it, but I think it is the same behaviour. As you don't see the controls before to tap, it is not easy to continue the race without loosing time.

It would be perfect to tap to resume, and after to show the control with a counter (3,2,1) before to restart the race.

I just put in a long RR1 session, and wow. I can't hardly look at that game anymore, it WAS gorgeous back in the day, but RR2 just is a whole new level, visually.

Also I fail to see the "RR2 is so different" and "RR2 is so much slower" arguments. I can respect opinions of others, but I do not share these.

RR1 is still a hoot-n-hollar riot, I still enjoy that game immensly. RR2 just takes that core "fun" and builds an incredible, new and fresh experience on top of it.

I'm finding RR2 to be one of the best done sequels I've played on iOS. Its takes the spirit of the original and expands it. The gameplay is more intense and racing action polished. With the Dynamic Difficulty switched ON the A/I is spot on, giving me a good run for my money but never being impossible. As long as I attack the coarse and race well I can perform well, but I can't be slacking.

Overall everything I've experienced with RR2 has been very positive. Its RR1 all grown up, and is quickly becoming my go-to Top-Down iOS Racer (and there are a handful of those that are excellent).

Overall for the money, RR2 is a great thrill ride, loving every dirt throwing, rubber laying turn!

Hmm...I still haven't crashed after a jump, but some other people were having this problem. Only advice is to straighten out your car before you hit the jump and also adjust accordingly while in the air.

Yeah, learn the jumps - there is a right way to hit all of them - and ideally, never use the ramps. :D They're more hazards than anything else IMO.

Nitpicks: I would have liked to have a higher camera available? When I went to try the first game again when I was, ah, feeding the troll, I did miss the big high angles, like the track on the first game that circles the church. I haven't seen anything that quite matches that in RR 2. And some more tracks going across rivers, streams etc. would have been welcome - again, that was one of the best visual features of the first game. Overall, though, my opinion hasn't changed too much - while the game does have its flaws, it's still a great piece of work. Playing it on my Android tablet so I can save a little more space on the Touch, but the game itself is still great fun.

Drift control would be so much better with a MMR type of half wheel. Tapping arrows doesn't feel that natural to me. I've tried adjusting the sensutivity bar but am not sure if it does anything. If I set sensitivity to 100% should the car turn more or less? I know it's almost always the former but sometimes more sensitivity means you can make finer adjustments.

I'm going to wait on getting this just because I have to many games and to little money. If this gets a MMR type wheel I would probably pick it up a little earlier than I'm planing though. Still looks real good and I'm sure I will love playing it.

is it just me that feels that purchasing credits/cash via Iap isn't as fun as earning them?

I actually really like the tank controls. Took some getting used to, but now I'm more than pleased! I found that modifying the car heavily helps with the tank controls exponentially.

Default buttons/arrows work pretty well, but I've never really been a fan of them.

I still would love to have the MMR full wheel be implemented in the game. I didn't know the half wheel was so popular. Ima re-download MMR and give it another go.

    Edit
There is no half wheel on MMR!

Anyways, a full MMR wheel with auto accelerate off would be the ideal setup for RR2 IMO.

    Edit 2
Actually auto accelerate with a brake and the full wheel would be my ideal set up.

You earn a very sizable amount when you win races. You also get a difficulty bonus.

I haven't even gone to the IAP screen and don't plan on it.

Tank Controls I think is the only way to go in RR. I liked it since I played Reckless Getaway. But Ideally I think the controls used in Death Rally would be much easier. They could just make the right button a brake.

I think the reason the Death Rally controls didn't get added was because it'd prolly make the game too easy. In DR, once you got used to the turns, it was smooth sailing. If your car was upgraded enough, you were practically unbeatable unless it was the boss.

Well, that was my experience with Death Rally. Even in Smash Cops, the virtual joystick made the game too easy.

I think my edit 2 would work pretty well in RR, but you're right, tank controls are great for controlling drifts.

    ---

Hmm...the MMR wheel might make the game too easy as well and really go against the devs thinking. I think that may be why they gave us the wheels that are in the game. Just something to think about, and I still want a MMR wheel, at least as an option.

Yeah, I havent played MMR in a while, didn't remember that it was full wheel. Still, the wheel works differently than in RR2 and is better IMO.
For some reason I never use autoaccelerate. I like the fact that you need to do more work to control the car (even if auto is sometimes better).

I really wish Real Racing 3 is being made. Totally different genre but a car game all the same.

Is anyone else having trouble looking at the leaderboards? I want to know if I'm still #2, but the leaderboards just doesn't load anymore.

I've never been able to get onto the leaderboards. I register and click the button but doesn't do a thing. Achievements on GC I can see though.

There are issues with Polarbits servers due to overwhelming traffic right now.

The Trumper M2 is a demon (it's basically the ford mustang gt) just hell on wheels. It's so powerful that if you make a mistake & fall behind it's easy to catch up and pass the other racers. My favorite car so far.
