Played it, and the game has just become from above-average to outstanding!

It's amazing how such a little tweak can make all the difference. Manual laser fire gives me a greater feeling of control, and also improves gameplay as it reduces all the clutter on the screen, I can dodge enemies easier!

Continuing from last level should have been added in the first place.

    I'm happy now!

    Thanks for the fast update!

This has to be one of the fastest updates ever, completely addressing fans requests, and it isn't even a bug fix(As there were no bugs to be fixed).

    Rebel Onslaught update 1.1

Yep RO just got a nice update: Barrel rolls, manual firing and better level progression. (you can progress from the last beaten level) Well that's pretty much what every one was asking for. Haven't tried it yet but I'm stoked. Ah by the way I'm a new member. I've been a bit of a lurker, checking in 4 times a day. Anyway, what do you guys think?

P.s. Written on my phone so I apologize for any mistakes.

thanks redstar for moving my post and a warm welcome. So I played a bit I think it all was implemented well. It felt pretty natural doing barrel rolls. It's one of my favorite games.I like the starfox similarities. I would like to see some midlevel bosses or some midlevel events like a rival aircraft maybe a bit like starwolf or perhaps saving an ally. That would make this even better.

Nice update. I guess I'm getting old at these games, but I could use a little help progressing through the levels. May I suggest that when continuing at a new level that we get 3 lives automatically instead of the lives that we had at the last level completed? In my case I am on level 3 with only 1 life left and keep on dying out. Also, I'd still like to suggest the option to turn off the tilt control completely and play by touch only. I find myself taking a nosedive into the ground when I let go of the virtual touch pad. Thanks for a great game and looking at my suggestions!:)

An incredible update only days after receiving feedback from TA. Simon is on the freaking ball.

Now, if the collisions could be fixed - we're talking 20 stars.

    Price drop 2.39 Euros

Did anybody notice the price drop for R.O. ?

It showed up here and on AppShopper, but only for about 10 minutes. Then it disappeared again.
I was still able to download it for the cheaper price.

Yeah, this update was put out fast. I like it. But it is just me or are homing missiles really hard to avoid in this game?

    Hi,

The trick with enemy homing missiles is to aim at them, you can shoot them down fairly easily with practice.

Otherwise a rapid change of direction when they are close should work.

But they are meant to be a bit challenging.

    thanks,

    Simon

We are kind of worried about making it too easy. With this system you can replay a level if you did particularly badly at it and try to get through it with more lives remaining. It is a kind of balance between replayability and letting you progress.

We are always open to suggestions and comments though and will keep it in mind.

    thanks,

    Simon

Price drop? Already? Aw man. This only came out about a week ago and I, like many others here, snapped it up straight away... now they drop the price!!! What a way to say thanks to everyone who payed the full whack and contributed feedback to make it more playable... thanks!

Sorry, we didn't have much choice though, apparently people didn't want to purchase it at the old price so it wasn't doing well. We want to make the game successful so we can continue working on it, improving it and releasing updates. We can't do that if it isn't selling. I do understand your point though and I am sorry.

    thanks,

    Simon
