Bought Real Racing 1 to see how the game feels and it's pretty good. Should i buy RR2 as well or are they pretty similar in their gameplay?

Arent all racers similar when you get down to it :D But honestly i think the graphics and the 16 player online play is enough to warrant the purchase for rr2.

Id highly recommend rr2 for the sole purpose of being able to play it on a big screen in full hd and especially since it will support air play this fall!

How does Real Racing 2 HD run on the original iPad?

So close to buying it, but will probably never own a iPad 2 and will wait for the iPad 3 so I was wondering if it was worth it for the original iPad. Any comments much appreciated.

How does Real Racing 1 compare to Real Racing 2? I bought RR2 on its release day and loved it, but wanted more. Now that RR1 is on sale, I kinda want to try it out. Is there a huge step up between the first and the second, or are they pretty similar? Also, does the first support retina display?

It does support retina, and it is the second best racer on ios, so if you want more, then get it. A lot of people said it feels a but more arcadey, but I honestly didn't see it. It is still an excellent buy even if you have the second. The only issue is the difficulty can get pretty hard on the last races, and there is no difficulty setting like in the second.

Well, Foosball HD has gone on sale :p

Just because it hasn't gone below $6.99, it doesn't mean it won't :p It took RR more than a year to drop below $4.99, so I wouldn't rule out the possibility.

Either way, I'll be waiting for the HD version to drop below $4.99 since I already have RR2 on my iPod.

Not sure. I think RR2 is so much better than RR1 on almost every aspects. Yes it's proly worth 99c if you really really love the series, like how some people collect all Street Fighter games or Resident Evil games. But I'd say give another game a go with that 99c.

There is hands down no racer that comes close to the those two in every aspect. If you like arcade racers, and want an arcade racer, yes, there are tons of other racers that fit the bill on ios even for 99c, but if you want the best racing experience on ios, RR2 is a league above the rest, and RR1 is still leading the rest in my opinion. RR2 does improve in every aspect, but that does not change the fact that I think Real Racing still owns many racers release this year.

I'm fairly sure Firemint will be having more sales now that they are under EA.

As for the game, if you don't have it, grab this ASAP. This is the only racing game you need for the iOS.

Yeah I just saw that this is under the same description as the EA sales. Looks like Illusion Labs is holding the fort all alone.

I'm tempted but I think I'm going to wait for a better sale. Not dying to play the game, just want to try it out and see what it's like on the TV.

It's a very hard game but incredibly polished. It also is very rewarding when/if you finally start to get the hang of it. I purchased it the last time it dropped to $4.99, when all I had was my old broken iPod 2g. I knew I'd get an iPhone 4 once it came to Verizon so I purchased it and it was money very well spent when I finally played it.

And bw, there are no pit stops.
