You know what that is funny. This bad thread is much more civil and easy to read than the good thread. People seem to be discussing things rationally on the bad thread about inapps and timer waits, but in the good thread, all hell is breaking out, and it doesn't make any sense cause of all the moved and deleted posts. Boy, that thread is a disaster. This one is much more interesting and civil.
Real Racing 3 is not a tech demo! Sure it has great graphics and framerates, and has no real story, and it can be dull waiting for the timer waits; but it is a game, no matter what Jbruu says...
Nope, I am staying way away from this one. I hate timer waits, and hate inapp really heavy games. Plus I had so many high hopes for this one, which are all getting shattered. Jbruu was President if the Real Racing 3 Defense Squad for about two hours, couldn't take the heat, and converted to the darkside. No way Jose, Eli and the mods can have this thread all to themselves. These two threads make the Dead Trigger seem tame, and remember this has not been released in the US yet, when it does, unless it is modified, all hell will break loose, and Toucharcade will crash into molten lava, and the end of the world will be upon us. Ok, as your first post of the President of the Real Racing 3 Defense Squad, how do you respond to the above comments?
Lol I can just see this becoming a massive dump thread in two weeks when the game officially launches.
A shooter needs a campaign or story that's why dead trigger was regarded as a tech demo (also when it came out the description made it look like it had a story, like the game though) A racing game does not need a story mode because the fun is the driving anything else is a distraction.good racing games like forza Motorsport and gran turismo do not have a story. Yeah, I read this when I take a dump, just like the old Dead Trigger Threads, problem is, this game has more hate, so I can't take dumps fast enough. So many posts to read, and two of them! Crazy.
I think it will be really good. I expect that it will be geared with the ipad 4 and iphone 5 in mind, so it should be state of the art high tech. Also, they will learn from this RR3 fiasco and won't do stupid stuff like wait timers or make it way too inapp heavy. I expect good things from it. I realize Asphalt 6+7 have had a lot of haterz too, but it is a game I really like, especially on hdmi tv with a Gameloft joystick. Real Racing 3 will be better than Asphalt 8 look at blitz brigade for proof Signed, DannyTheElite President of the Real Racing 3 Defence Squad
What? That is weak, so any FPS with no story is a tech demo? And racing games can't be tech demo. Weak sauce. Ok, well how about a defense of the timer waits, heavy almost mandatory inapps, or huge disk size? Let's hear your response.
You must be absolutely crazy. Asphalt 8 will shine, and won't have 80 pages of bad comments in the first day like Real Racing 3 got on its opening day. Can I ask if you have even played Real Racing 3 yet? Even Jbruu who had your office for 2 hours switched back to a haterz once he played it. Jbruu, how the heck did you play it already? You got a NZ account?
yes I have the game I have played it but this is too hard a job. You can't change people's views no matter what you say so I might as well stop defending and start playing. Signed, DannyTheElite Resigned President of the Real Racing 3 Defence Squad
I'm not going to go on a rant because it's just useless. The game underneath all of the timers and IAPs may be a pure masterpiece and that's probably why Appspy was generous enough to give it a 3. Heck, there were complaints that NFS:MW was too grindy or IAP heavy. While not nearly as generous as Asphalt 7, NFS was still a good game and still didn't feel pressured to get IAPs as it was still very playable. So there, I'm actually complimenting EA on that one. But I don't see how there can be any real defense of the IAP system in this. And frankly, ANY professional review of the game that doesn't at least knock the system will lose any credibility in my opinion. Unless it's dramatically overhauled, I won't be playing or paying for RR3 and I actually feel bad for the talented Firemonkeys team that likely had little input into the final IAP system (at least based on the past RR games I doubt they did). Ashame that their names will be dragged through the mud with EA on this one.
