There should be 2 RR3 threads...one to actually talk about the game, and one for people to berate the waiting times and in-app purchases
I think what's more embarrassing is that one of your journalists was exposed as playing down the impact of the freemium model the game has.
Everyone affiliated with TA has been fairly tight-lipped regarding the atrocious IAP model this game employs. These guys have a business to run. I agree that there should be some degree of accountability and integrity when it comes to running a site like this, but on the other side of the coin, that's a pretty tough line to tread, especially when the game itself is so polished.
Truly abusing the Freemium model is analogous to anticipating a delicious, slightly melted peanut butter cup, only to take a bite and realize the peanut butter has been replaced with dog shit.
Well, they had no problem saying A MILLION bad things about Borderlands Legends did they and giving it a 2/5? So much so they went to break a press gag and made themselves look like friggin heroes in the meaantime. Or giving a game (FF All The Best) 1/5 due to the bad IAP implementation (which btw is more decent than this!). Anything more than 2/5 for RR3 in its current guise from a TA review is bogus. I just wish there was another site with a decent forum so I can migrate there. Anyway, moral of the story is that 2K or SQE do not give TA favours so they could pan the games. EA meanwhile is an important American mobile game company so TA'd rather maintain good relationship than to call them out like credible journalists. Everyone is a sellout in the world. I am. You are. TA is. Firemonkeys is.
Nobody has offered me anything, so I haven't sold out yet. I will, though. No problems there. I don't know what to say. You may be right. Those games you mentioned were pretty terrible, though. And this title would be absolutely sick were it not for the F2P model, so I can see some wiggle room.
This made me laugh twice. I read it the first time and laughed. And then I read it again, and laughed again.
Not every one is a sellout. There are still a few people with morales in this world, just need to look in the right places.
It was merely a hyperbole. And you may not be a sellout in the way you earn a living, but somewhere someplace you must have sold out to something in your life. However small it may be.
Rage while you can, cause we all know where you will be when your car finish repairing. Regardless of the paywall, the game is amazing in many aspects and making the game free to play I believe had many reasons with the newly released jb on newer devices. If it was 9.99, millions of copies would just be pirated anyways, so why is it so hard for people to understand when they made it f2p. If my theory is crap, find anther place to rant, since your reasoning is beyond ignorant.
