Oh I totally understand where you're coming from. I'm very disappointed as well. The game is, for me, ruined in its current state.

But there are so many other great games out there, so many games I've bought and haven't finished or even played yet, that I really don't dwell on this one game that could've been. And some of these posts...it's like these people have lived their whole lives for this video game to come out and when it doesn't live up to their expectations - BOOM! It's like a 4 year old whose parents told him they might stop by McDonald's, then 5 minutes later when there's a change of plans the tyke has a complete meltdown, even though he was never promised anything.

No one's forcing you to play this. No one's forcing you to pay for an IAP. No one's forcing you to sit and wait for a timer to count down. Is life really long enough or empty enough for you to get worked up over this?

Ah yes, Eli ... the janitor on a web based power trip. Forum mods with their delusions of grandeur crack me up.

No doubt I'll be banned now, but the self righteous bullshit in here toward those who have genuinely asked questions and raised valid points having PLAYED the game is ridiculous.

I already waste too much time playing games on my iPhone/iPad; if EA thinks I'm gonna waste another minute waiting for their timers to count down in RR3 they're out of their minds. And I will never buy an IAP in this game; in fact I won't even bother downloading and wasting my time with it at all. If this game was $10-15 premium, I would have gladly bought it. But as it stands, it reeks of greed, trying to satisfy imaginary profit predictions for corporate shareholders at our expense. No thanks.

Yes, EA pockets are strong with this one.

I'm like a lot of others. Real Paying 3 is deleted off my iPhone, never going back to the crap filled game.

On a good note, at least I'll be getting further in Real Racing 2, the only real good sim racer on iPhone other than the first

That's doing War Z an injustice! Even it wasn't so blatant, just blatantly unfinished...

Tried RR3 for awhile to see how the IAP was handled.

My conclusion is this series has been unnecessarily ruined by greed.

Oh, and the frame rate really isn't so hot on a third-gen iPad.

    Deleted.

On the upside, I have an NZ account now, so it wasn't a complete debacle.

    Better luck next time, Firemint.

The only way to prevent free from from taking over is simple. APPLE NEEDS TO KEEP THEIR PREMIUM PRICING ON THEIR HARDWARE. Seriously if there weren't any $0 iPhones, this wouldn't have happened. I congratulate apple for raising the price of the new iPod touch to $299. And no i don't mean let rich people have iPhones but people who are willingly to buy. $200-$400 iPhone on a 2- year contract are more likely to pay for apps.

To be honest with you, I would prefer that it didn't exist at all. The freemium model is driving me away from iOS gaming and back to console/dedictated gaming handhelds.

My only hope is that freemium fails so as it doesn't also ruin gaming on other platforms.

I guess you won't be coming back to the ios gaming scene, cause freemium is going nowhere. The game itself is feee regardless of iap or not it is a very well polished game. However, because of the restrictions RR3 at point feel like something you check upon every now and then and not really a full game.

Sadly I think it has already. I think I heard Crytek saying the future for them is freemium based. That said I'm not sure why you don't enjoy this bad boy. As far as I see it this a triple A title. I prefer playing racing games on mobile then console. Consoles would've charged through the roof for this. If you put down $10 with the intention of dropping another $5 down the track you will have more than enough cars to not worry about waiting.

I see your point though. Would love to just pay once and play.

30 minutes is plenty time to have a few glasses of EA's Koolaid.

I think you are being a bit disingenuous here. Sure there are struggling developers, there are struggling developers everywhere, but hasn't EA recently been crowing about the amazing income they are raking in on mobile?

I have no sympathy for them. It's just a greedy corporation being greedy and ruining gaming in the process.

I think their device is actually still recording, they just cut the video for about six hours to *ahem* take a short toilet break.

I haven't 30 min spare time right now to watch the whole video. So I clicked in the video about ten spots along the time line and they always were in some shop. Finally I saw some moving car at runtime 28 min. Is it really that bad to control? Or are they sucking in racers that way? The permanent zoom in zoom out is distracting.

And please, video makers, stop gabbling and hold your breath for some seconds so that we can judge the game sounds. As far as I can hear it sounds identically like the old RR games.

You're the malaise who enables this kind of crap to continue existing.
