ya I think they've mistakenly hyped this game too much maybe. I'm not going to judge until I see it in-person, but the graphics in the hands-on video just don't look as insanely great as the original trailer. And the freemium model means it will never be as premium as Real Racing 2.

And no time-trial mode in a racing game? REALLY?

Yeah most game companies do that. If you look at pre release game vids for consoles its the same thing, smooth framerate and looks hi res. Then when you get the game its laggy and looks nowhere near as good. Bit naughty really.

    Look out your window.
It's not exactly the most dynamic of surroundings either, nothing to reflect in the car etc.

    Game will still look fantastic.

    If nothing else.

That doesn't make sense. If these "so called people" won't shell out a buck or two for game how does a F2P game survive, then? It's illogical really, so because the games free these people who won't buy a game at regular price are now magically going to shell out cash cause the initial download was free? Nah, doubt.

More to do with that its a cash cow... Instead of one time purchases you now have a game that in theory has become limitless in spending by each downloader.

Its a clever part for the devs, but sadly many other developers have realized the reward it gives and F2P has taken over the AppStore. I don't see any problem with it, because its entirely the consumers decision, but if the developers take advantage of F2P (paywalls, etc), Thats where I start to draw the line. I'm fine with a free game where you can unlock something instantly for a buck or so if you really want it, but to where you can't continue playing without giving the devs a few bucks is where it gets ridiculous. Its all about how you approach the concept of it.

They haven't over hyped the game. Our expectations have. I haven't seen too much from Firemonkeys telling us how awesome there game is gonna be, but I've seen a lot of high expectations.

I still think this game will be the best racer in its genre on a mobile device.

hmmm..I guess you make a good point. Real Racing 2 was so good. I'm going to re-install it now in fact

but I did notice the lack of Chevrolet in Real Racing 3. There isn't a single hint to show any Chevrolet car. So no Corvettes or Camaros :(

And another useless Trailer since it doesn`t provide an Information about the iAP in the Game at all and even goes that far that EA/Firemonkeys sents out Builds with a shitload of Money and all Cars unlocked on it.

Just lost every confidence in their integrity.

    Edit:

Removed my rant so the Thread don`t go completely Offtopic.

iOS gaming is just ruined. It became money based now. I miss days when I used I pay $5~7 bucks and never have to worry about iap bs. I think this news just really made me upset. Who knows, if they ever bring back infinity blade dungeons, it's probably going to be a free to play game.
Seriously, people say free to play games isn't that bad, but they are boring. Just mindlessly collecting coins or whatever to buy whatever you want to buy. It's just... Not fun anymore. Dead trigger was good example

We have a right. Our voice does matter. I warned people about FF:ATB and now we are all getting warned about this freemeium garbage. Maybe not as bad as most freemeium crap but F2P is F2P enough said

I do want honest reviews about this game. Just because Real Racing is one of the biggest franchises in iOS, doesn't mean that it must get a full-star rating.

Real Racing 1 was the start of iOS racing simulators, and it did a great job at that time. Real Racing 2 came along, and it improved every single thing over its predecessor, and all around the best racing simulator on iOS.

Has Real Racing 3 improved over the previous game? And does it live up to the franchise, especially with the switch to a freemium model? We're all gonna have to wait and see. Can't wait to see what TouchArcade and SlideToPlay think of it, as they're my go-to sites for iOS gaming! ;)

No he is right. I went to far. I asked him if I should remove the post since I should keep my personal mind for myself if I feel cheated in one way or another.

Feel free to voice your opinion on a game but that line is drawn at attacking other sites.

this is a slightly-enhanced version of Mario Kart 64, with a lot of IAPs added :p

Oh man...what would happen if EA bought Nintendo games!

I understand and its more due to blame on the builds sent. Why not make the reviewers earn their way not buy their scores. I rather have a honest review then a sugar coated one.
