All they had to do is announce that Real Racing 3 will be Free to Play and at the same time list the included iAP so everyone of us could easily make up how good or worse they picked up the hole Freemium Theme. Instead we got... If you want to blame someone don`t blame all those with an WTF? Impression on their Face or those that are now anxious about what EA might had done with the Real Racing Franchise after they have already screwed up in the past with a few other Franchises in the last couple of Years. It`s not the Team in Australia that is making sure that everyone only currently believes the worse. It`s actually EA that had proven in the past that they are able to kill a Franchise, doesn`t matter how strong and how healthy it is at the current moment. Sidenote: I still don`t understand the current Marketing Strategy from the Firemonkeys. First the screw up with the announcement of the delay and now when they had the chance to easily put all their cards on the table and show us all how well they have moved the Real Racing Franchise into the Freemium World and what benefits, yes I call those benefits, the Freemium Model might might have for the hole Franchise. Instead they throw us a bone on the table and expect us to be happy about it and roll over. Whom does it help that they are holding tomorrow a Press Conference where only a few will see how the hole Freemium System is included into the Game? Nobody. During a time where different Media Outlets are accusing eachother of paid News/Previews/Reviews less and less people then ever care about what someone says or not and expect to get those Information straight from the Publisher/Developer. But as usual when Apple itself or Kickstarter & Co have shown in the last couple of Years or Months how close the relationship between a Brand or like in this case Publisher/Developer can become some still have not understand it and I wish Electronic Arts the Best that Real Racing 3 won`t become a second Need for Speed World disaster.
No no no no... I just hate refillers (time to build, gas, repair.. all the types)... Hope it is not to expensive to repair your car with game earned money...
Let's all do the "change the time trick" on our iphones, ipad's and ipod touches so they won't make any money
EA is pretty much ruining another company with amazing talent....imagine how amazing this game could be if Firemint were still indies
I don't really care about licensed stuff, I'd be happy with a bunch of made up cars and tracks in a paid package The thing is, I actually don't think the reason this is turning freemium is because of the amount of people waiting for sales...if you look at the top-selling games, there are a lot of EA games in there at full price, and also games like The Simpsons: Tapped Out make themselves loads of income...EA has plenty of money to make this game premium...I personally think this is a classic case of greedy EA, like recently in Dead Space 3
Can't believe how greedy EA are being releasing this for free. AND they want ME to choose how much, if anything, I spend? The cheek.
Hopefully there is no timers to stop play and we can race as much as we want, worst money grabbing ever is paying for timers, firemint/firemonkies may drop of my top dev list with this game.
Heh, damage timer sucks. Be great if they included an upfront IAP that removes it even if priced high ( as a premium game ). Won't happen though.
This game has true multiplayer? What prevents a griefer from taking a car into a race with the sole purpose of causing repair damage to other people's cars?
