Seriously I've never been so angry becouse of STUPID game!

If the free part is multiplayer, we can have some more competition. But do we really need this? Noobs that will ram you in corners because they DON'T WANT to brake? They know nothing about APEX etc? [No, thanks.] And if is "free" part the whole game then [No, thanks. Period.]

Seriously firemint (not firemint+ironmonkeys+ea), you did not have enough money from RR and RR2 so you decided (or "bosses" from ea made you) to make "free to play" (I hate that term) to earn MORE money? I think you could have enough money from us with premium model.

I waited so long for this game and then you delayed it so I waited a little bit more and now this? You could say it was built as f2p game from the beginning so I could do another things (I mean in real life - when I was bored I always said to myself "Real Racing 3 releases tomorow - fingers crossed") than wait for new game from creators of such a great game as Real Racing 2.

Removed from watchlist, will skip this for sure. It does not deserve "The best iOS racing game" title anymore. It's old good Real Racing 2 which deserves it no matter what does RR3 have.

If it will be only about "main" currency, I don't want to know how much would we have to grind.

Even if iapps will be purelly cosmetic I'll not be satisfied! I am big fan of cars and motorbikes and I HAVE TO unlock everithing. There is not f2p way to make this right.

If you are not going to change from f2p model, make 5€ inapp to remove (make it COMMON reward as 1st currency if there will not be a way to remove it) 2nd type of money (or whatewer will you use as f2p currency) AND if there will be one main currency, make coin multiplier so we can skip grinding)

P.S.: MAKE REAL RACING 4 PREMIUM!!!

I am not native speaker so I have to apologize for my english in advance.

I think this just shows that they didn't produce a full single player experience. They decided to make this game revolve around multiplayer and in doing so made a game that wasn't worth 6.99.

Alright thanks for clearing that up. I do hope they have regular multiplayer. I still wouldnt feel like I am playing against a real person in the multiplayer you mentioned. Like if the player decides to drive backwords on the track would that show up in this time shifted multiplayer?

    +1

I'm boycotting EA games as a whole, and any game that is F2P. I've had enough. I paid $10 for Real Racing 2 HD, and I was the happiest bloke in town. I still play it till now, and it's an excellent experience. I very heavily doubt that Real Racing 3 can come close, because when the game is "designed from the ground up" to be all based on IAPs, that means it's basically a cash cow that tries to find any opportunity to take away money from you.

And for everyone solely blaming EA on this, I think it's not the complete truth. I also blame this UTTERLY WRONG decision on the Firemint department inside Firemonkeys. Because as we know, inside Firemonkeys, there is the Firemint department, and the IronMonkey department. IronMonkey developed Need For Speed Most Wanted, and that was a fine premium game with some IAPs elements. Firemint has developed Real Racing 3, and THEY DECIDED to make it F2P.

    Shame on you Firemint.

  9. "Pay $10 to instantly unlock the McLaren F1 GTR!" Random match-making will be a fun experience... :/

Right, you guys grab the pitch forks and get the burning torches and we'll all meet at EA headquarters...... Really, how about we see how it's all gonna work before decididing to boycot and burn down the village.

I still think that this will be one of THE must own iOS games ever.

Sure if it ends up like CSR then I will be pissed, but I am not gonna rant about never supporting it, until I see how it's gonna work. Personally I can't not get this game, it will be too good to miss.

Oh no, they will lose so much money from you boycotting a game that is free....

If not, they took us those awesome moments when we play with friends bumping into each others car and shouting WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!?!?! I remember I punched them in arm almost every time but it was fun :p

Uhhh....you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, so why make a bold statement like this? Is it impossible to imagine that some EA exec simply said to the developers, "We want this game to be free to play, please design it as such"? I don't know about you, but when my boss gives me instructions, I usually follow them.

By missing out on the money that all the boycotters either would have paid if the game were a premium release, or the IAP they spent money on, yes, they certainly will. Your point?

ITT: A bunch of people freaking out over weird worse possible scenario situations like some kind of iOS doomsday prepper. Everything Firemint (and Firemonkeys) has made so far has been awesome. Given their track record, there's no reason to assume there's going to be any deviation of that with Real Racing 3 regardless of what you do (or don't) pay for it.

EA is doing press previews today, I'm not sure if they've got any embargo, but we'll likely know for sure how it all works out in the not too distant future. Until then, there's absolutely no reason to freak the #### out.

Also, as much as I hate to say it, if you've ever found yourself thinking (or posting) "Ehhh I'll wait for the 99¢ sale, or wait for it to go free," then congratulations- You are a part of the reason why Real Racing 3 is going free to play. It has gotten so ridiculously hard to sell mobile games, even for a dollar, that this is what studios are forced to do if they want to stay in business. iOS gamers have made their collective beds by demanding lower and lower prices, and now they're sleeping in the end result of that as developers are doing everything they can to keep their lights on.

Getting angry at EA, Firemonkeys, or anyone else other than the customer base that has driven this market which we are all a part of is foolish.

the game is free...probably for the first 5 events or something. Then it's all money-scamming IAPs from there on.

and really....900+ events? I don't see how they're all going to be unique. They're probably mostly redundant, just to make the users pay to enter some of those events.

Although I've never done it and I don't agree with it, but hacking freemium games is incredibly easy. I saw some videos from 14 year olds hacking CSR Racing and entering any amount of cash they want.

I would never want for Real Racing 3 to end up the same way CSR Racing did, but to me it seems Firemonkeys are digging their on grave with this one. :(
