Based on the Dev Diaries and Screenshots, this game looks awesome. I wonder if an A5 device (iPod touch 5th gen in my case) is good enough to run it... smoothly?

I'll be very happy when this hits the shelves... figuratively.

Buddy you have no clue what you're talking about in terms of device optimization, compatibility and framerates. Please stop posting and misleading people. Looking at their previous games, this'll probably run fine on A5 devices and be compatible with 3rd gen+

    Ah! Sorry!
    I'm clueless!

Well... If it "run fine" on 3GS or 4...

I eat glass and post the YouTube video here! OK? JBRUU
Just like you said... I have no clue...

Umm, ok. My request was just that you not say "compatible with X device" unless you actually know it is or isn't. Otherwise it just misleads people.

I'm confident, actually I'm sure it'll support iPhone 4 and up.
3GS is a tough one to call because of the ram but it has no retina so that helps and if anybody can do it, Firemonkeys can.
So I'm gonna say 3gs probably will be supported but at a much lower quality.
iPad 1 is almost certainly out of the loop at this stage. But then again, Firemonkeys do optimisation very well so anything is possible really.

They haven't released anywhere yet what devices will be supported anyway so at this stage, every post from anybody about it is pure speculation.

We'll know in a few weeks.

If the iPod 4 is supported I really don't see why the 3GS wouldn't be.

Did they say the ipod 4 would be supported?
Although, thinking about it, it'll have to be supported just simply because of the number of them out there. So yeah, that would include the 3GS basically.

I'd imagine the target optimum device was the 4 or 4s anyway when it was conceived. At this point though the 5 being the best and the 3GS the least. It's just too hard to know because of the big differences in performance in that range now. And the actual age of the device has to be a factor.

I am curious to see how many of the older devices will run it. It won't affect me personally but the further back they go would be impressive.

I'm just glad to not be in the group of people hoping it works anymore. What a strange feeling knowing a game will run...

Actually, sorry I should have posted this earlier.
Development director said somewhere that RR3 is using Open GL Es 2.0.
3GS and above supports this but before it doesn't.
So 3GS and above basically seems likely in that sense.
Also iOS 6 seems like its a requirement so iPod 4, 3GS and iPad 2 seem like the minimum.

None of this is definitive though as they have not directly stated the minimum devices.
This also doesn't confirm that the minimum devices will actually be supported, it just states the minimum debices possible based on other requirements.

Why the 3GS is supported by iOS 6 is beyond me. (Yes yes I know the technical reasons)

I think iOS 6+ is a fair assumption, doesn't the time shifted multiplayer component require that OS?
