This won't see release this year. There has been absolutely nothing worthwhile shown of the game, only a trailer and a bit of the asynchronous stuff. I expect a late January release.
Every bit of info about, small though it may be, has said that the game will release this year. The last post by the dev here said the game is on track for this year. I just think they are holding the info for release to keep the reviews, comments and articles in place for the Christmas break which will be a big time for numbers sold on the App Store. @bathplug. It will be universal from what the dev has said.
For the week of Christmas, the app store is essentially frozen #no app submissions, no denials, no shifting of the charts most importantly. I am guessing that if they are going to release before the end of the year, they will wait until right before this chart freeze. They know the app will be at the top of the app store once it gets accepted, but they might be worried it will fall off relatively soon. By posting submitting it right before the freeze, they will have assured themselves a prime spot in the charts all through Christmas week; a week that is in fact the busiest week of the year on the app store. It would certainly be a 'skeevy' move, but a company has to do what makes sense to them.
I reckon now MC4 is out, they could release it whenever and it will be on top till after Christmas/new year. It will easily be the top racing game for a while.
Well, they didn't share much info about NFS:MW either but we did get it as promised so no worries here Although I have strong believes that that game was finished months before it was released. Their FB page used to say "Coming 2012" now it's "Coming soon" I hope im wrong, but if they planed to release it this thursday wouldn't we see by now trailer,supported devices list or any info at all? I know company and the game of this calibar doesnt need much marketing but still it would be nice to have some solid,confirmed info because we can speculate for days..
When will the App Store freeze? I mean is this the last chance for Real Racing 3 to be released before 2012? Com'on...I need this game NOW!
This is my main concern. All the other RR games have GC but EA is notorious for not adding GC, since FIFA13 for updated with GC I wonder of EA is making the same move for their games to come, I really hope so.
