I had asked this question before until i was rudely answered by immature members on here. It makes the race impossible to win with a car being able to fly by you like your standing still. The racer was also JJF in my game
I got a random TSM opponent in an endurance on Indianapolis with a distance of 117 miles. It's frustrating sometimes. I went 39 miles in my Shelby and got 2nd until the wear on the vehicle slowed me. I could see it being annoying starting the game now with plenty of good times already logged. There needs to be some type of realistic cap on times that you can be put up against.
I realized something. If you turn wifi off and kill the app, you don't play against random TSM opponents. But you still play against your friends via TSM. I still see Killy's 33km on endurance. Any idea how I can completely turn off TSM? Even friends times?
Is this an airplay fullscreen game or mirrored game? Well, guess cause I will be loading it today, I will see and post some screenshots from both my hdmi tv and new ipad once I finish aty friends today. But sounds like they are using mirrored mode not regular airplay fullscreen mode like they did for RR2. Actually this is kind of surprising if true cause I was expecting a regular airplay game. RR2, airplay mode, it is best to use the first person view camera for best framerates if you haven't tried it though. But generally I like mirrored games better than airplay fullscreen games cause the older airplay games like RR2 are 720p. But was hoping Firemonkeys would make RR3 airplay fullscreen 1080p which is closer to ipad retina quality, but probably the framerates would of been a mess, so they just opted out with using mirrored mode. So good and bad at the same time. But look forward to seeing what it looks like in hdmi tv, cause it has the potential of being one of the best hdmi games.
Love The game but the IAP is really stingy i mean 10 Gold for 2 bucks -.- Anyway by far its The best looking game Ive seen in Mobile
Well I guess I'll wait until this comes out on the 28th in the states. I was hoping they would release it in Canada, because I have both a US and Canadian account but I don't want to open a third account in NZ. If this game has 166 pages already without a release in the states yet, I can only imagine the controversy and heated arguments will probably escalate once this hits North America. Look out Dead Trigger, RR3 will be the new champ !
Im still not overly impressed with RR3. No time trials, replays, airplay multi-screen, your car seems to have zero physical presence on the track and the opponents drive into you like you're not there and no cloud saves (although i know thats coming). Apart from the fancy graphics and real tracks, I'd say that RR3 is a big step backwards from RR2. I have trouble getting into it and you dont seem to progress like you did in RR2 (unless you spend money methinks).
Hey Johnny, long time no see! Fellow Dead Trigger compadre. You might have missed the other 6 rant threads, there are probably closer to 250 total pages about RR3 and it hasn't even been released hardly anywhere. On the first day alone there was over 100 pages in this thread so it had to be separated to filter out some of the offtopic stuff. RR3 is the champ by far, makes Dead Trigger look like a my little pony thread in comparison. Feb 28th will be armageddon I am sure. Start stockpiling supplies for your nuclear proof bunker! Man, the Dead Trigger 2 upcoming thread was so fun with all us joking around, good to see you around mate!
Can you play this game on an ipad 1? I bought an ipad 3 last year and have an iphone 4s - but I gave my brother my first gen ipad. Wondering if he will even be able to play this game though?
I wanted to give a review of the game here, having played the game extensively over the last few days. My progress: I completed the "pure stock challenge" 100%, the "street spec skirmish 100%, the others of the pro/am series over 65%, and I've dabbled in most of the other series. To those expecting to play without IAP: Realize you will never be able to complete the game. You won't even manage 50% completion. Reasons: In the beginning of a career, the timers are quite crippling, since you can't switch between events yet. Once you progressed further, the timers put you at a huge disadvantage, since they effectively prevent you from repeating a stage right after a bad try. Thus, you cannot learn/master a stage as well as those who do use IAP and will never be among the top scorers because of that. Of course, you can play in off-line mode and get rid of timers, but it's annoying to switch back and forth after every race, and it's also kind of cheating. To those planning on buying IAPs: Realize you will never be able to compete with the top times if you only want to spend a reasonable amount. Even if you burned through over 10'000 gold and millions of $, you won't even own half of the cars. The reason is that for every car, there are also upgrades which are much more expensive than the car itself, and you probably don't want to wait over a week for the higher-tier cars (waiting times for upgrades for high-tier cars are DAYS), so you'll either spend money there, or cheat. Translated into real money, that's already more than USD $1000. If you want to own all cars, upgrade them fully, keep them repaired, serviced and ready, expect to spend about USD $5'000. For this price, you can already get an (inexpensive) REAL car. Also, the cars just get more expensive. It's not possible to spend a small sum like USD $20 on the game and then be happy. The money will be gone after a few hours. To those with limitless ressources: The game is actually lacking even if you disregard the IAP system. Events are very similar after some time, there is not enough variety. Even if you are a hardcore gamer, you will be bored of the game long before you completed all events. At the point of progress where I am now; I have already seen every course, and frankly, the game doesn't feel much different driving a car at 200 mph or driving a car at 300 mph. To those serious about competing: Unfortunately, there are countless issues with the game. For one, it's possible to exploit almost every course through cutting corners and so on. Also, there are many hackers out there. For example, there are cars racing on tracks that are not allowed there. Furthermore, it's strange that you can just go into offline mode, and then the game becomes super-easy because you're racing against preset times. It kind of makes it pointless to actually train to play online, especially since there are no leaderboards. Also, I really miss the video feature of the real racing 2. You could watch a good driver and actually learn how to drive. Watching a fast AI controlled car in real racing 3 is completely useless.
Thanks Connector, I actually really like Racing games and I felt that RR2 was the best, and now with reluctance, I hear that RR3 is the best racing game on iOS. I'll guess I'll give TA my opinion when it comes out. I had no idea about the other threads and RR3 being the ultimate champ when it comes to controversy and differing opinions. I was surprised to see that Rip got a time out. Do you have Ps3 or Steam, if you do feel free to add me FightingGI on both.
