Considering how I rag the poor cars, I'm surprised I'm not having to send them to the wreckers yards as write offs. I imagine the pit crew swears at me behind my back...

Cars I'd like to see added:
    Lexus - LFA
    Noble - M500
    Pugeot - 206, 306
    Ferrari - 455
    Mini Cooper
Mercedes - Anything from their AMG range ought to work

And of course, the most important car of all...

    The Dacia Sandero!

In Cups it's simple: no rag, no scag.

Yeah, I'm giving in as we speak... downloading now... Still upset about IAPs, but at least they seem to be improving the wait times so they are not as obnoxious.

People on this thread can feel free to add me to GC (volcanopele)

You're liable to destroy that one too... maybe because of a truck?

Yes, though damningly, I won't be in it when the truck destroys it. I shall be forced to look on in mortal horror as my dreams and hopes are -crushed-.

I'm sure it does. This is obvious by the fact the the iPad 2/iPhone 4s running it smoother. That said these platforms run at a higher level of detail then the iPhone 4. I'm suggesting that the Devs have already designed the engine to scale down to lower detail then the iPad 3 currently runs. There appears to be enough head room to allow them to scale back the detail on the iPad 3 to allow full resolution at a much smoother FPS.
At the very least they may be able cut the res back to something in between the iPad 2 and the native res, such as games like GoF2 HD.

  8. Game is now installing, I shall play later

My Game Centre ID is Hoggy110 (SHOCK HORROR!!!!) if you want to add me

So how in the hell do we get the cloud saving to work? Or is there no way to do it from iPhone -> iPad and vice versa?

I would love this to work
If not automatically, at least a manual save/load button

Em, no thanks. The game runs fine on iPad 3 with the graphical quality it has, don't give Firemonkeys any daft ideas just because you feel you should be treated to a 60fps racer.

My 4S is not smoother than my iPad 3, they're near identical frame rate but the 4S has noticeably jaggier edges.

I get an iPad 4 through my work bonus in May anyway, but the iPad 3 is not running the game at a dramatically reduced frame rate like your posts suggest.

The only time I have ever seen studders on my iPad 3 was during the intro video when I first started up the game. I have never had frame rate issues during actual gameplay. I wonder though if that is because I always race in first-person perspective and my iPad has to render less on the screen (since so much is taken up by the dash)

I started to like the game more after spending more time with it, but before I hit any IAP walls I decided to try NFS Most Wanted. Both games are fun but I haven't picked RR3 up again since. It's an awesome game - when you're behind the wheel.

I do not like the timers one bit, no matter how short they are. I feel ripped off when I pay "good money" for something in the game, then am asked to pay even more to actually race. Getting hit twice like that ruins the experience for me. You wanna hold my game hostage, you can keep it. It really feels like a slap in the face to me.

I won't play this game, or any game, if they keep the timers. I just won't change my opinion on that, no matter how fast the timers are. It's just too "in your face" for me. We'll see what happens on the 28th.

Yeah, the irony is that when you take away the idiocy of the timers RR3 just isn't a very good game. Other than the myriad of details to the in car view, the graphics really aren't anything to write home about. The time shifted multiplayer is the dumbest thing I have ever seen in a racing game.

It kinda feels like these guys never took the time to play their own game. The behaviour of vehicles on the track is sterile and flat - you either have a line that isn't part of theirs or you are stuck in a group of immovable objects.

I am on an iPad 3 and the graphics look quite 'grimy', this certainly isn't a game I would fire up to showcase the graphics on an iOS device.

Not sure why this can't just be in the main thread. Having all these threads just dilutes the discussion. Positives and negatives don't need to exclusive

The timers aren't an issue when you have more than one car. Ideally buy one car for each set of events so that you can move between events to continue earning cash while another car from a different set of events is in for repair. The timers have been massively reduced from the initial soft launch. And you don't get asked to "pay twice".

My current stats, without spending a penny so far, are:

    Level 15.
    R$156,690.
    46 Gold.

    Nissan Silvia.
    Ford Focus.
    Nissan Skyline.
    Ford Shelby GT500.

My next purchase will be the Porsche 911 GT3 which is R$178,000 or there abouts. Had I been able to purchase in game money I'd have done it by now so I could get my Porsche a little sooner. The way the game is set up allows you to progress with some work and effort, and in turn you feel less ripped off handing over money for in game currency.

    It's great.

Great game! a full game purchase option would be nice though

I like the realistic feel of having to repair and service your car. It does get kinda irritating if you want to race and have to wait, but usually it's not for very long. In less you really want to play 8-10 races in one sitting, your really not going to have to wait very much or very long. The mechanics on how the whole freemium part of Real Racing 3 works is really realistic and is very enjoyable if you just play 2-5 races here and there. That's how I play and I have never had to wait for anything, except for 1-2min for accidental damage. Its fairly easy to not damage your car, I only damage mine on races with a lot of opponents like on the cups. I think over all this is a really good freemium game. I just would like to see some kind of in app purchase where you can buy the full game and maybe have the ability to turn the wait times on and off, or maybe even be able to pay in R$ to pass wait times. Overall it's a great game and I think it could just use a way to get around the wait times because its sounding like there's a lot of people who play over 10 races in one sitting, then still want to play more and get really irritated that they have to wait 3-15min to race again. I defiantly feel like I accomplished a lot more when I buy a new better car.

    Get RR3/free apps early.....New trick?

I have a seprate NZ account for games like this that get realeased early in NZ. I've been doing it for years but when I searched around the other day I could find anything on it. Email me at [email protected] and if your not going to abuse it and you'll use it the right way ill let you use my extra apple account for NZ to get Real Racing 3. I've been reading and it sounds like apple isn't allowing any NZ accounts to be made or just not letting them be made anywhere but New Zealand, I'm not sure about this but it just seems like a lot of peolple are having problems making or switching there's to NZ. I don't know if everyone else does this but try adding Random NZ address, phone number etc. and then switching or making the account New Zealand.
