compared to the way it run in my brother's iphone5 and ipad mini yes, for me it run slowly. terrible was a poor choice of words. and i don't want to scare anyone. anyway, cool help with that link.
Obviously it's not going run as smooth as a) a device running the latest Apple chipset and b) an iPad with a smaller screen to power. To sum up TouchArcade's own hands on with the game prior to its soft launch, it runs "pretty damn smooth" on the iPad 3. Yes there are some stutters on full grids, but the game is stunning, zero jaggies, and very playable. It's far from a slideshow.
In one thing TMS suck badly. I can do much better time as my GC rival, but I can not beat him in race, because he finished race earlier and he is elite. Now when I start race he is on first place on starting grid and I on last and behind corner (Laguna Seca). Same thing happennd in drag race, but thats not big deal, because after I won first 3 I won easily against him. They should solve it somehow.
Amazingly it seems that they didn't run the game with iAP. And, from the moment you own more than one car, the whole game gets a lot better because you can just switch to another car to race. The game runs fairly well on the iPhone 4. It lagged a lot a few times, but it is playable nevertheless. The graphics look good enough.
Not true mate. The thing is that GC friend posted that time from the back of the grid just like you. So even though it seems like they are out in front screaming away they are actually "bound" by their previous time so cannot increase their lead. Keep trying. There are some good spots to cut the pack early on
Having read rant thread upfront, I was astonished how good the actual execution of IAPs and timers actually is. And game itself too, my long awaited dream come true. Same here. I never used GC till now- never felt the need to. Although I don't play this game as much as others here (too many other hobbies lol), it definitely benefits from that inclusion.
The game has been modified somewhat since release, so some of that rage was probably unwarranted for the current version. Yeah, good to hear, I too will be joining you soon, you can add me Connector777 on GC. Good luck.
It runs pretty smooth on the iPhone 4 until you get a large grid on screen. It'll slow the frame rate down, but it's playable just fine.

But all is good, and it's funny how many people added me as a friend since I posted my gamecenter, got 15 people instantly who I guess are eager to play with me cause I suck, and they can get lots of coins. We have a club for us racing losers. lol. The bad thing, for me, is even though you say you suck, you'll beat me too lol.
Haha! We gotta have a name for ourselves, I will volunteer to be President. Would hate to be just refered to as Loserz, but maybe it will be the Real Racing 3 Loserz club I suppose. I actually used to think I was good until I can to Toucharcade and saw players like Syntheticvoid, Ninjackid, or other that seem to be born with an ios device stuck in their mouths. I played a game with Ninjackid, and I think he was laughing about how bad I was. I even ended up attacking our good forces by mistake! So now I think I suck compared cause so many TA members are dang so good, especially with FPS. But yeah, if you are worse than me, then maybe I can get more coins...... GC friend request sent! Haha
I'm new to racing on iOS in this respect, but I'm pretty good on GT5/FM4. This is a new ballgame for me. I'll get there I hope lol. Right now, I'm a Loserz hehe...
How the hell did I get passed by a mclaren in the performance rumble series which features cars like shelby mustang and BMW sedan. Not super cars :0
I find my iPad 3 plays the game well, but is not quite as smooth as my iPhone4. It is important to note that the iPad 3 is rendering with far better lighting, shaders and background detail then the iPhone 4. Firemonkey should be able to tweak the detail level down a bit on the iPad 3 to run better than the iPhone 4.
