Ignore the focus, it's a good first car but if you are saving up go for one of the BMW's in that class, you need a good car for the later events in that tier. Best thing to do IMO is own 1 car for each tier, only buy a better car once you really need it, and in upgrades I find it best to increase grip and accel over the rest.
Only half an hour, that's awesome. The Focus is my only car that I have upgraded. I was finding in some of the latter races it was the only way to compete ( for me anyway).
I think one could say that I've played the game for a liiiitle bit longer... heh. (I haven't spend any money yet)

So you don't own the Focus? I just raced you and you were in a white Focus. Just wondering if that's a TSM thing( randomly generating a vehicle to your time).
Is the "total time played" including time when you were doing repairs or upgrades and you were not actually playing the game (ie. device on sleep or using another app)?
Any tips you can pass on mate? I presume by "not spending any money" you mean IAP money, not in game R$'s? My poor Nissan Silvia needs three minor repairs and one part of the service. I'm sitting on R$29,550 and 26 gold having levelled up a couple of times. I'm now at the stage where I don't think I'm going to get much more out of the Nissan before I need to attend to these repairs, which will of course eat into the 29,550 I've got "saved" for a second car.

It's going well enough, if you sit down to Real Racing 3 and approach it as the sim it's supposed to be and learn the mechanics of the game, it's actually an almost tactical racing simulator. I will definitely spend real money on IAP when this comes to the UK, mainly on R$'s (not so sure about the coins yet).
Yes, me. I also did it three times because I tend to click quickly and devs put the "spend" button in the same position as the "race" button when you have the car ready. I'm sure it was put there on purpose, along with not putting a confirmation saying "are you sure you want to spend XX coins for an instant repair?"
Only have the Traction Control assist turned on, try cutting corners (even if it isn't good for your car there are some sharp Z turns where one can simply go over the grass without slowing down as much) and "lean" on other drivers in cup races to get past them in curves without slowing down as much as them. (will also damage your car, but hey, if it let's you win a race...) And yes, by money I do of course mean money IRL.
So I've just undertaken my three repairs and one part of the service (oil change), and all in it's less than six minutes to wait, a vast improvement from the times seen when the game first soft-launched.
I do as it was my first car and has been tuned, but I now use the last BMW in that class because it's much better overall. I also own the R34 skyline with everything tuned but it's really struggling now and I need to upgrade the car completely.
Is it just me or is the Autocross in the "V8 Muscle Hustle - Flag Racing Motorsport Carnival" impossible? One has to reach the finish in about 35 seconds to get first place, but no matter wich car I use, how upgraded it is and how much I try to cut corners I can't get to the finish in less than ~47 seconds. Help?

One thing I definitely recommend people do- add GC or FB friends on here asap! I just won twice the amount of money on beating friends compared to the actual race winnings coming first.
I'm doing the adding friends, but I doubt I'll beat many of them at all lol. I'm the kind that people want to add... rofl.
I just unlocked the BMW 1 series race in the first tier, I got the 1 series at 20% off and it's just been delivered!
