If it really works this way, I hope there comes a time when I feel like I'm actually racing a real person instead of Imbalanced AI
Hey guys, I thought that since the game shows icons above everyone's heads, we could start a TA RR3 racing crew. We could all have the same logo above our heads. This could help promote the site we all love and help identify other members within the game. I made an initial logo. Just change your Gamecenter photo and then restart both Gamecenter/RR3 and it should appear in the game. My MS Paint skills are not great so if someone else wants to make a better logo, by all means go ahead. Alternatively: Go to this link on your idevice: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=33kr8zo&s=6 Click on the logo Hold on the logo for 2 secs Select "save image" Go change your photo in the "me" section of Gamecenter
Again, the only reason you're saying that is because you faced wait times much longer than that. It is an illusion. SUre, I don't mind them at all because I too am under an illusion. Had these 1-3 minutes wait times been there to repair damages from the start, we would still have carried arms and assembled in large numbers to vent our fury int his thread.
According to my profile, I have played 400 races. Never in those 400 have I seen an AI go off track. I have seen them skid a little at Indianapolis oval, but nothing more.
Serious? You started higher than 22? Don't get mistaken cause some races are only 16 cars. I have never started anywhere higher than the back of the grid.
no..because rare in racing games you see and notice different types of AIs...and that's what TSM really does well...some of them are experts, that are really quick and brake properly at braking points, and block you from passing without hitting you....other AIs are fearless and smash your car, and rear-ending you....and other AIs aren't really that good at racing, that they brake really early before the corner, and skid off...yes I saw a car once skid off the track completely, but it's happening quite rarely. so yes, TSM really works for me....because if it was real-time multiplayer...it'll mostly be n00bs smashing all together, or hackers going 30 seconds ahead of you.
In an ideal TSM environment, the players you race depend on roughly similar car specs and the AI differs a lot from person to person. For instance, if a racer is aggressive, his TSM counterpart should also be a little aggressive, while if a player plays clean throughout, his TSM counterpart sticks to the race line for the most part. Also, what xeyad says is sort of true. I wasn't too happy with RR2's multiplayer. And with a little more tweaks, I'm pretty sure I'll like RR3's system more
ok Mr. Racing Expert....how is the AI in other sim racers? I've played GT5 a lot, and they're mostly the same, that are violent and crash into you, without any mistakes. Rare in racing games where you see an AI actually making a mistake to cost it the race. anyway, I like TSM, and think it works well....if you don't, then don't sign into GameCenter or Facebook
Well, it seems like tsm works best with game centre contacts so! Game centre ID: ThatFuzzyTiger Flood me with invites
Umm no. I know they want their IAP's to sell, so can understand them wanting some minimal times in at least, although personally I'd rather wait a few seconds and not use my coins. I'm under no illusion. Ok if they remove those wait times I'd be happier sure. But don't mind a couple of mins wait maximum while i'm choosing my next race. So no, I wouldn't be complaining about that.
For those who don't know, there's an RR3 thread in the MMO/Friend Request section for GC requests. Just putting it out there
TSM is great for the pacing of the AI cars so they become a challenge to beat time wise, but it's not AI itself. The computer cars need to know when to not drive full speed into the back of your car down a long straigt or when to turn in and crush you into a wall when there is plenty of empty track around them.
Something positive: Thanks for adding me! It's great fun to race you and the constant updates of times being beaten is just what I wanted from a racing game. (Even though the AI is still kinda lacking) Here is hoping that they someday update some kind of time trial without opponents but with a leaderboard of friends.
Ok, I'm caving in. If I am signed in to both FB and GC, and send requests via GC, what anme will my friends see? My FB name or my GC name?
