Universal Real Racing 3 by Electronic Arts

  1. Can you say why?

  2. That is good, it is good news to hear that things are getting better with the new balancing. I hope what you are insinuating about the paywall isn't going to happen. Hopefully there must be a good balance between inapps and racing kind of like in Asphalt 7. I still think it can be done for RR3 without taking all this heat.

Lotus, Chevrolet, Jaguar, Volkswagen, and Volvo were all available in Real Racing 2, and now absent in RR3 :(

I especially want Lotus and Chevy back. Lotus has some fantastic lightweight cars that I bet would feel good in the game, and I want Chevrolet for the cars like the Camaro, the C6 Corvette Racecar, and of course the new C7 Stingray Corvette.

But I'd be amazed if I saw a Ferrari. EA and Ferrari don't have a very good relationship. Last EA game to have a Ferrari was NFS Hot Pursuit 2 back in 2002 (ya, I've been playing racing games for a long time now :p).

I would like to see Mercedes. They do have the E63 AMG, the SLS AMG, and couple of racing cars. That be awesome to have.

Toyota would be cool to have as well for the GT-86, and maybe the old Supra! Or how about Mitsubishi and Subaru for the Lancer Evo, and Impreza WRX STi.

Anyway, Firemonkeys promised us new cars in upcoming updates, so I'm excited! :)

Your lucky, I saw the original post and have it here, but anyway, as you mentioned in that post, yeah, you were not directly saying all of us should shut up since we haven't had the honor of playing it yet. But that is what you meant.

Can't see why you couldn't have just posted the facts rationally in your original post instead of basically saying we are all an ignorant mob like faction who are clueless, both NZ players and us US folk. And to basically shut up that our input was worthless.

Prove us wrong with facts, not all this censoring, labels such as mobs, and sarcastic garbage.

How is anyone managing to put up with this frame rate without so much as a whimper? Is inconsistent 30 FPS that regularly drops to about half that when going around corners (particularly at speed) considered adequate now?

Rip I got 8 cars too. I forwarded the time on 3 occasions only. Never did it anymore. Total game time must now be 12 to 15 hours. Hard to estime really

My best car is a lorsche 918 4.0. Superb handling. Like it better than the mp412c.Balance 400k and 190 gold.

What device? I am a frame rate whore but it seems more than acceptable for me on my "old" ipad 2.It does get low when the races with 22 car grids begin but otherwise it's smooth sailing.

Making a NZ itunes doesn't require a payment method and can be done in 2mins. So at least give the game a try before going after every single post that says anything positive about the game. And if you really can't hold back to hate, don't play it?

Main reason is because the timers are a real inconvenience and sheer greed is put ahead of consumer interest. Best racing game in terms of rating: Nfs mw then rr2 then a7 then rr3.

Best in terms of enjoyment: nfsmw, rr3, rr2 a7

  11. Well, why don't you just post it here. And I have never gone against anyone that is posting positive things if you are talking me. As I said before, I am willing to give it a fair chance. You just caught the tail end of a disagreement between me and rip.

So please post it here, and if I can do it, yes, I and the mob (as rip calls it) will shut up until we do play it cause right now us US folk can't until the 28th, so if there is a way that I can play, yes, I would like to come to some of my own conclusions too.

I didn't like real racing 2 there like no cars in the game does this game have a lot more cars?.

  14. The thing I don't understand is that in rip's sarcastic post, he claims that he has had only 10 minutes of wait time in over 8 hours of play. Why is he reporting things that way, and you and the mob as Rip likes to say, are reporting quite different things? It is perplexing. 10 minutes of wait in over 8 hours does not really seem much at all.

Creating an NZ account (or any account from another country)

    - On your computer, open iTunes
    - Scroll down to bottom and click flag icon. Then select country you wish to create your new account
    - Search for RR3, download it, and when the sign in box appears, say you wish to create a new account
    - Fill in the details etc (Not sure how smart Apple is, but I suggest finding a real address/phone number etc in the country you wish to make the account)
    - When asked to select payment method, click "None"
    - Activate your new account, and voila!

You can do it. I'm in the US and was able to create a NZ account on the of, no pay required.

I am playing the game on my iPhone 5 without ever logging out of my US account on the phone. Heck, it will even let me buy on the game store while I'm in my US account.

Even though us Aussies and the Kiwis have it I'm so excited for the release. Mainly to see the confrontations in here! The thing is when I started I hated it. A couple hours later it was ok but lacking features. Then I started enjoying it with a few friends. Then I hated it for how pervasive the greed was. Now I freakin love it.

Not sure how a thread is meant to stay relatively calm when a person can be arguing with themself for two days. Add money, EA and a few subjectivity arguments and its gonna explode in here!!!

    Thanks Rip,

I appreciate the info. Yes, I guess I will try this out and I probably will like it, because you and I have very similar taste in games. The message that I'm getting is that if you have good skill in racing and manage your cars efficiently, the wait time is minimal and you can enjoy this game.

Seeing as you like this game better than Asphalt and RR2 has me sold. I might just have to open a NZ account, to get an early jump on this.

I hope he can explain it too. But what I think he did is that even with a badly damaged and zero services, he continued racing. He had no chance of winning whatsoever but he continued racing at the tail end of the pack just so he could make a little more money. Do you want to do this? Of course no one will do this and rather send their car for repair and servicing.... No?

  20. I don't see why Rip couldn't have helped instead of blasting everyone and telling everyone to shut up, but as I said before, I am a fair person, and I will try this, and so I will be back after I try it. I am hopeful that the game will meet my expectations, and thanks Kenny, I've asked 4 times, and you are the first to be helpful, so thank you. :)
