This is because the game always puts you in last place which I hate. IIrc rr2 had a system where you could do a trial lap and depending on your time that's where you were placed. This game needs that
The AI is still abysmal. It uses the other players times and then sticks to the racing line like a bloody railway locomotive. Even if you have track position the ai thinks nothing of swiping you out and racking up one god horrid repair bill.
Well now that people are warming up to this game when it hits Canada or the US, I will get it and hopefully get to race some of you guys. Rip, if you were to choose between this game ,Ashphalt 7 and real racing 2, what would you choose?
I've now hit a wall. Not a pay wall but a difficulty wall. The game is just hard now. Especially the cups. Upgrades don't help much. It's a struggle to even finish a race but I'll keep on playing!
Ok what's the point of making the "AI" "tougher" as you win races and level up? Now it makes older races even top 3 winable.
Cannot I not repeat myself? Buy the best car in a championship only. And don't bother with upgrades at all.
Seen some hilarious profile pics racing around. Peeps in helmets and behind the steering wheel or just crazy expressions. I had to laugh when some dude had the RR2 art as his profile
Now that the game is so better balanced, with A LOT less waiting time, the game got so much more enjoyable. However, I don't think this will last too long, because it really does take away from the feeling or the force to pay for any IAPs. And of course, EA doesn't want that. I think they'll either get back to the extremely-long waiting times, OR they're going to increase the prices of repairs and services by a lot. I'm pretty sure they're going to figure out how to make the player reach a paywall in the game. Because right now, the game is beautifully balanced, and there doesn't seem to be any paywalls. I'm in level 11, with 3 cars...and it's all looking good for me. Saving up for that GT500 now
Trust me, this is an illusion. You're only saying this because it is better than initially. But had the current timers been used from the start itself, it would have received equal condemnation from us all. Including you.
I'd have to choose this. I'm really getting into it even more now and enjoying it a lot more at each play. I'll grant you I've 8 cars so the servicing or wait are zero issue at all to me now. But as I said before I've only ever had one ten minute interval where I couldn't race when I wanted to and that was very early on before I started managing the system. And that's not clock winding. I purposely didn't do that because I wanted a real impression of it. Redoing previous races to play against friends is just giving me a fortune. I'm buying a Lambo after the next two races. And I've 45 gold sitting there with nothing to do and I already bought a Mclaren for 65 gold. And no iap needed or considered ever (other than to support Firemonkeys at this stage). Spent some more earned gold on paint jobs and upgrades, on services a few times by mistake but I'm still earning plenty and that 45 is still sitting there. It really is extraordinarily easy to earn in it with the tsm or just in a normal race. I mean I'm only rank 20 and what is it, 980 more ranks to go. I'll easy admit the freemium and the waiting is off putting for the first hour because you have to be careful. But in saying that , I'm driving my focus with the last 5 races with 3 serious warning indicators and it hasn't forced me to stop and service yet. And those three indicators are empty so I've no oil, brakes or tyres. Performance is hindered but I'm still racing and earning. I'm gonna drive it into the ground just to see when it forces me to stop but I've spent nearly an hour since it dipped into the red trying to do that and its still going, sixth in last race and a few thousand in prize money. Probably cost a fair bit to fix it but its worth the experiment. It is a bit more work than the other two but that's what makes it so engaging. Its almost rpg like is the best comparison I can come up. Don't get me wrong, the other two are great games, you know yourself I've played both of them a lot. But this has me more involved and will stay on my device a long long time. I don't see it being everybody's favourite but without a doubt every body should play it just to see it. It'll cost em nothing to do that. And if they manage their cars well enough, it'll never cost em anything even if they keep it forever. Picking a current favourite is difficult but I have to go with this one now. But I also love Table Top Racing and NFSMW. The three just give a different kind of gaming experience that suits my current mood. As Asphalt 7 did for a long time and RR2 for a really long time. The fact is you will have to try it. But try and look beyond the freemium, be careful for the first hour, don't service/repair everything in one go, spread them out, basically just manage a bit and rotate cars around. I'm confident enough to say knowing some of the games you play, that you will like it, possibly feel a bit frustrated at the beginning but after an hour or two, you'll wonder how you managed without it. Edit. Sorry for the over long post, I kinda rambled away there for a while.
Yes, you make a good point. But what I'm saying, that without the stupidly-long timers, the game is more playable. Repairs are cheap and instant to fix, the services have timers but they're not that long, and I have multiple cars that I can race in different events and tiers. So I am finishing race after race, after race, without paying a dime to EA. So I'm progressing through the game without the benefit of the company. And I bet most of you are too! Ya, I don't see how EA is okay with this. They're going to find a way to make this game have a paywall to make everyone eventually pay, at least if they're goal is to make Real Racing 3 among the top 10 games in the grossing chart.
This I agree. But again we are in the minority. Most people want the best car from the get go. Many will spend 99$ for the fast car. Plus not everyone has a community to help them figure out things like us!
No licensing. I think Forza (Microsoft) still owns the Ferrari one. And Gameloft has some tie in there somewhere for mobile. Lotus, I dunno who has that one, I thought it was EA.
Maybe, but I do disagree with your statements that there are a lot of good impressions. Anyway, your refusal to recognize the mob is what baffles me. This includes both people playing and not playing. There is a lot of anger, if you want to be the President of the Real Racing 3 Defense Squad go ahead cause two senior members tried and both resigned within two hours. If you want to be constructive maybe you can help me create a NZ account, so yes, I can play and give you a more accurate feeling. But it is not fair for you to just tell everyone to shut up cause everyone is a mob. I have asked before and I will ask again, can I create a NZ account without a credit card number or a NZ gift card? Help me become informed instead of just basically saying to shut up.
