All i say is if anyone wants to Race then use Hellscaretaker and just add a note you from toucharcade, regardless what people say im enjoying the game and for a phone game its you can not but be impressed.
You're welcome As I've already said somewhere in the multitude of pages I'd also say to new drivers: don't be too quick to service your car just because one or two meters are in the red. The car will still race, albeit hindered. Even if you don't win, you'll still earn money.
So just came 8th on a race. Received $5000 cash and $5150 friend bonus. Then leveled up to 15 and got 5 coins. You guys really are friends with benefits
Well, I spent my time creating a NZ account, downloading & playing the game, reading this thread and analizing the situation before making a comment. Now I feel it's the time While I'm not keen on the freemium tendency, I admit companies are here to make money and this system seems to work for them because they use it more and more. Having said this, I admit that I wasn't happy at all with RR3 and the waiting times at first (very excessive), but after the tweak made today to the fixes and services times, the game is great now for a freemium title, and I agree that managing your cars and the repairs is also interesting. A full service of the McLaren MP takes around 6 hours, but you don't need to do a full service, just service the bars that go red. After a race which required 14 fixes to the McLaren and oil and wheel change, the total time was around 35-40 minutes if I don't remember bad. I think that's acceptable for a freemium title, and I haven't hit a paywall yet. Sure, it will take months to achieve all the cars without spending cash, but at least you can choose to spend money on the game or not. Many won't agree with me, but be aware that the game was released two days ago and people already have several cars in their garage, and I'm sure not too many of them have spent cash on the game.
It's too bad this game is freemium. I've had some respect for EA since Dead Space, however gradually it's gone away.
FINALLY after many attempts I came first on the Southbank track- very narrow with lots of tight corners. It was such a thrill ride passing the opponents one by one thinking "omg! This could be the time I actually win!" I won 8k and all this with a car starting with brakes that were in need of servicing (on the red)
Another little plus on this game is how much you learn to love your cars. As you don't have them flung at you like other racers you get to know them a little better. If you love them they will love you back
Again another assumption based on no actual facts or gameplay of your own, only your own misinterpretation of the game. Sorry but the soft approach is out the window now because you're encouragement of a boycott and considering it fair because youre towing the line with the mob mentality is simply ridiculous. Here's some facts. Never moved the clock forward. Have had a total of 10 minutes waiting time that inconvenienced me and broke my play. That's after 8 hours of play, which still only equals 5% completed. And currently sits at 8 cars, one bought with 65 gold. 40 gold sitting there at the moment doing nothing. About 70,000 in game currency sitting there waiting for something to do. And all that after paying zero for the game and no iap. Does that seem fair? Is getting a game for free with that level of content fair to boycott? Really? And don't throw out the line that nobody posting positive impressions because if you were reading this thread as opposed to the rant one, you'd see that mixed in with the negative, there is plenty of positive. When you've actually downloaded and put in some genuine playtime, you can come back and give the reasons for your boycott. Until then, get an issue that you can actually back up with your own experience of it that will then validate your opinion. You're just jumping on the bandwagon at this moment
It really is an excellent track to race on. Its not soft on a car but its real edge of the seat stuff.
I know right! I was crapping my pants On a serious note- people also complained there is no Restart option in the pause menu. I actually like that there isn't one. Makes it all the more thrilling. Where's the excitement if you can just tap Restart if you mess up?
I have always hated reset in racing games, I am happy to see it gone also, it kind of makes each race feel like it's a multiplayer race because of that.
Give it a try, believe me. After the tweak they made to timers, it's worth it. I had a bad image from EA until recently, but I like how they implemented freemium to RR3. In fact, if there weren't timers, managing the car fixes would be nonsense, and I think it's a cool feature.
I don't mind the wait on service repairs for now- as people have said, it forces the player to race with their other cars. What I don't understand is the smaller repairs (bumper etc) having a wait of 20 seconds more or less each. I mean, who would waste gold coins repairing straight away when they only have to wait a minute or two maximum on those? That to me is pointless.
