Some protips: 1) Buy the most expensive car in each tier. Then you don't have to bother upgrading the weaker ones. 2) Stop immediately once you have reached first place in endurance races. Continuing will eat up your services. 3) Slip bumps do not result in damage. So if you want to just scrape past your rivals on the first turn, you can be careful enough and not initiate damage.
Confession. I just had fun on RR3. Hmmm So you go to a strip club and you tip one hot stripper all night. She does her show and she is smokin hawt and all up in your grill. After her set she comes and has a drink and flirts with you. Even though you're aware she just wants your money she is hot and the conversation isn't too fake so you go along for the ride. A few drinks later and you're back at hers. She gives you another strip tease but this time it's fricking off the hook. Grinding and girating like she's possessed. She starts kissing your neck. It's so on!! Then she stands up, walks to bathroom and says "I need to have a shower I'll be back in two days"
It's ok! Just go play ios games for two days!!! You should write for the Toucharcade story in the lounge.
I'm sure this has already been stated in the last few pages (I haven't looked back) but Andrew at AppSpy gave RR3 a scalding 3/5. It really highlights how intrusive the IAP is, especially since this game would easily have been rated a 5/5. I am beyond disappointed. I'm actually sad.
I was talking about this with a friend after ME3 (EA). Why do we gamers get so devastated after a release that doesn't meet our expectations? The same outrage doesn't flood the Internet for crappy movies or lame follow up albums. Sure there are passionate communities that really want their expectations met by other forms of media but when games don't meet the mark we become sad or even angry. For me I think the length of time that we are drip fed screenshots of games (sometimes years in advance) and the interaction we have with devs could be a factor. How is a normal person not meant to feel sadness when they have been told about the incredible things a product will do for years only for it to be released as a ugly backflip on the franchise. Sorry for straying off topic but I think gamers have a right to feel passionatly bitter about this. It's the same passion that makes us check new previews of games and dev interviews.
Don't update the game than. Problem solved. I mean they may give some incentive like a new track or something, but is a new track worth 6 hours of wait? No.
My thoughts about the time shifted opponents. I was skeptical at first about this. I was also among the first to download and play the game, and I have spent many long hours doing just that. So, after a while, when I got slightly better cars, I saw a few instances where opponents streaked ahead. I thought this was unfair and made the game pay to win in a way. However, playing again today, I am understanding time shifted multiplayer artificial intelligence. And this is the reason EA is release the game early. Not becoz of testing out their f2p model. You see, as more people are play the game, the game collects more data. And this data is balanced to your car type/level of upgrades etc. Initially, since the data was little, things weren't balanced. But now they are becoming better. Smart move by EA in order to get a full balance tsm ai they release the game to a few countries first. A few tidbits: 1) If you see a flag photo, that is the CPU ai. It isn't balanced (I think). In some areas the CPU ai is grossly overstated, but when there are many tsm times this is corrected. 2) If you see a username like chad76, or homer_simp21 or some funny thing, that is a real players time using game centre. 3) If you see a proper name like John V. or Sarah J. this is Facebook integration. I am thinking that TSm is now the most dynamic AI created, ever! As more and more data is collected, the game becomes more balanced. And fun! I have some reservations about the game but sorry got to go play again. Just wanted to post this here as I think no one has thought about this in this manner.
Yeah, Gameloft tested this type of waiting and iap with the free version of Brother-in-arms. After the feedback came through they abandoned that form and have stuck with premium games with iap you see the likes of Asphalt 7 and Modern Combat 4. Hopefully EA learns this same lesson.
That is the reason why we must support small studios. Because in future will be just two game developers. EA and Gameloft Okey.. And Zynga
How do you know this? This doesn't affect the main AI gripe anyway. That the opponents don't react to you. There's no realistic driving out there
It is true and when you want win. You can turn internet off and now you racing with bots So, simple..
I haven't rwad this forum yet btw A GREAT game ruined. You have to spend 3+ hours repairing your car every 5 or so races. IAP is mad expensive too. It's like a combo of real racing 2 and Clash of Clans. The paywall demand is strong with this one. The graphics are better than Real Racing 2, but not by very much. You can still see the pixels clearly on my 4s. To my knowledge, you can't even race online? That time shifted shit is bullshit. I've regret getting too hyped for this since it was first announced
No, I was talking about balance. In terms of the overall balance of races. Are you refer to the aggression shown by the AI? I think that is done on purpose, for obvious reasons. But funnily, sometimes I see the AI cars stuck in a "train". Anyone see before? What you mean by don't react to you? My big problem with TSM is it doesn't actually take the exact lines driven by players. It just aggregate the time and puts all on the default line. That's why you dont see them crashing, or runn on grass.
