Out of curiosity what is the longest wait you've experienced. Mine would be max 4 hrs. Thats on a porche with upgrades and a engine repair. I keep hearing about these monster ones and I'm wondering if it has something to do with people using international iTunes accounts
3 and a half hours longest so far. But that's cos I haven't chosen to repair everything all in one go. And even then I didn't wait all of that time. Forked out a few coins near the end to get it over with, and soon earned those back when I levelled up a couple of races later
Pfft, yeah... right. I guess everyone's just lying to unfairly tarnish the game, right guys? That's within the first 24 minutes of play. It's okay though, everyone is just "hatin' lolz" >_>
I know earlier in this monstrous thread it was said that it did look like there was some sort of cross device syncing but it wasn't working, I was curious if anyone has gotten it to work and how that does work, i.e., like rr2?
I did Milnic, nice find - well played indeed! Sadly I fear you'll either be banned or have your sig/posts censored since people will accuse you of "stealing" from EA. Great trick though
That's really strange, I always thought it was the opposite, they did good console games like madden or nhl, but pooped on mobile games. Also they destroyed Chillingo and now seems to have forced Fire Monkey into all this inapp, time waiting, and unbalanced car racing. I haven't had a console in 3 years, but has EA got really bad with console games and added mandatory inapps, wait timers, or totally unbalanced play?
No-one accused anyone of lying did they? I just wondered how the heck u would ever need to have all that servicing after only 24 minutes??? After 24 minutes I think only my oil was running low, but I still carried on racing with it.
This game is a car wreck if you play legitimately, as sad as it sounds, I envy those who cheated to some extent, they get a game unencumbered with all the f2p junk...
More akin to licensing issues, example buying a used game for $30 but need to pay another $60 to play multiplayer since the previous liscense was already used. Here's a link to all the major reasons. http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2012/04/09/why-ea-won-the-worst-company-in-america-award/
I think it's fair to say, judging from the positive posters as well as negative ones, that statement is based on how it is played- i.e how the repairs/upgrades are managed by the player. Some of us are having no issues with the game whereas others seem to be running into trouble in the first half an hour it seems.
In my case, timing upgrades and repairs to happen together, and trying to keep the car going until bed or an extended break before a major service. Even then, all it needs is the ai to whack you about during a cup race and you'll end up with a nasty nasty repair delay.
I don't think you can tar the TA community with this. Go to any gaming forum discussing this game, NEOGAF for example or even Firemonkey's own forum where many threads and posts have been outright deleted. What do you think the common denominator is in all this?
I love how you don't consider 3.5hr waiting times to be an "issue", scientists should tap your bloodstream and use it for the good of all mankind, since apparently you're a walking, talking happiness and patience repository. We should distil your blood into pill form.
There is fun to be had against friends no doubt. I find it odd that when someone beats your time and you challenge it they are not made the race leader. Some other random is
lol I haven't actually waited 3 hours. I used a paltry 3 coins after a while to hurry it up so I could use that car and quickly earned those back. And while that 3 hour one was still going, my other car had already done in half the time Overall I think I have spent a good 4-5 hours playing this game in one evening, and haven't paid a penny. I think that's good going
Chill mate. I think we can assume that 99% of peeps prefer an outright purchase but with a bit of strategy this can be fun. Yes EA sucks and the waiting is an insult to humankind but don't take your frustrations out on the few who are squeezing some fun out of this. Common Gimmie a smile Just a little one There we go
But people in this thread have stated that piracy of IAPs is even easier than the piracy of software itself. Developers created the "entitled iOS gamers" themselves, the gamer's weren't the ones who set the appstore's ridiculous and unsustainable pricing. Apple are complicit as well, they are simply not doing enough to prevent piracy on their platform.
