I just started playing RR3 with an iPad3. I downloaded my cloud saved game and my progress, $ and Gold are correct as is my overall progress but all the second level series are missing. The premier series at the top is there but there is nothing below it except for the RWD Open Revolution series. Is there some special way to navigate to the other series?
I'm actually really glad you posted that - got the exact same issue with RR3 on a Nexus 7 (2013) and I haven't been found anyone reporting the same problem until now. I thought at first it was just a weird GUI quirk specific to the Nexus 7 or Android build, but it affects more than that as the progress shows completed events out of ~800 instead of the ~1600 it's supposed to be. This really freaked me out until I took the cloud save back to the iPad Mini Retina (which doesn't have the problem) and all my completed events and progress were still intact so it's not causing an actual save issue.
Just got a weird bug where i could enter a quick race I was able to choose the map, game type, and opponents lol. I had this same problem going from an iPhone (main save) to an iPad. I just thought that they'd disabled parts of the game for some reason until I saw this post. I just made sure the Cloud backup was recent, then deleted the game from the iPad, and reinstalled it. When I restored the Cloud save to it, it was all good. Back to normal.
Thank you, that worked perfectly. Now I can actually see my entire game without my glasses! I did notice that the rendering is different on the iPad. Cars in the distance are bricks at much closer range and details come in as you close with it much more noticeably than on the iPhone. Also the frame rate does indeed suffer a smidge. For instance, on the S-curves at the top of Mount Panorama I find that everything gets noticeably blurry when I'm in a very fast cornering car like the BMW M3 GT2 ALMS. But since I only need the clarity there when I'm surrounded by other cars and need to make an inside/outside pass decision, it's not a huge deal. I like the fact that I can look into the corners more naturally.
This game is extremely freemuim and I also hate the fake reviews EA puts. Such as the same review twice.
They should release an update pretty soon, fixing the problems with multiplayer mode (which is not very popular, judging by the number of players I see online).
Must admit I am hopefull for an anniversary update given that the 14th will be a year since soft launch.. Maybe less expensive IAP would be a nice 1st birthday gift.
The time tournament is currently unavailable, and it says I need the new version of the game, but there are no updates shown on the App Store app right now.
I have the same problem. I guess it's because they have to update the game to make available the Mercedes SL65 announced when you open the game.
I would love to give this game a spin. But not knowing how much money is needed to really enjoy it is holding me back. A version with a premium price tag would be great. And I can't really see it hurt the economic aspects at all for EA/Firemonkeys this point.
When I launched the game tonight it had the short download bar on the Firemonkeys screen, when the game started up the online stuff was there.
Some news a new update? The last update is 6 weeks old and friday is the first world-release-birthday. I think the reason for the problems with multiplayer is the new unknown update. I think firemonkeys had some new files or dates live.
I'm level 19 which has not scratched the surface but I have a play every day or two until the timers kick in and then that's it. I'm not going to pay a penny while the game remains like this but would be prepared to pay for a full premium version.
