The opponents in the later races are almost impossible to overtake Contemplating of permanently playing the game with the AI which is not that easy either. On a side note, is it worth to upgrade the i20 WRC? Will it be used in future race categories? Right now it's asking me to have it at a minimum of 56.0 PR which would require a lot of money in upgrades.
Decided to give it a go. So far I'm having a lot of fun, just unlocked the Challenger. The circuit, or whatever it's called, I'm currently in is pretty balanced. Haven't felt the need to spend any real money.
I personally decided to hold off on any upgrades to the WRC. The price is steep and there are no other series to race it in so it's not money well spent.
I'm sure that starting new game today is different from when I did it at launch, but I imagine there is still a lot of fun to be had without spending real money. You need to look at it as a long term investment. You should be able to play for a long time without feeling the need to spend real money. Resist the urge to use gold for paint, repairs and upgrades and save it for cars. Try not to buy any cars until you get them at the 20% showcase discounts.
i'm really sick of this stupid ai... when i try to pass a car froom the side it closes the gap and pushes me to the side of the track or when you brake they ram you.
Has anyone gotten the Agera R yet? I think I'll "blow my stash" on it... Regular 800 on for 400. I have 550 Gold. Oh and how long do the sales last? Anyone remember? I need to get the CCXR first.
Just make sure you have unlocked the races for it otherwise you will be sat with a car you cannot drive.
On the Accolade open, any suggestions on the Porsche 918 RSR Concept vs the BMW M3 GT2 ALMS? Neither is in any other series and the Porsche goes for 150 Gold, the BMW for $654K. I go for 75%, so don't need both and think its better to save that gold for other high end cars later. I'm level 59 with 1.1 million R$ and 507 Gold. Any thoughts?
Both cars are equally great. If you don't have a big discount on Porsche then purchase the BMW; you won't have any disadvantage. Only purchase premium cars that have over 30% discount.
Sounds like you suggest not to take the 20% discount if offered when you unlock the next car and wait for a "showcase" discount. That could take forever.
You won't cry in the long run. Trust me. I have been spending perfectly since day 1. I have plenty of room and lots of gold. Only 3 cars left to purchase for me. Pagani Zonda r, Lamborghini veneno and the p1 which I can purchase easily. I have 553 gold and 1.5 mil. R$. I am 95% completed. The final series is untouched, and two other series' are at 75% only because I have not purchased the pagani Zonda r and chose to leave it exactly at 75%. The rest of the series' are 100% completed.
Do you think its a good idea to go back, purchase the remaining cars and finish most of my series off to 100%? I assume it is worth the R$ spent to get the gold payout. And when you say you've been spending perfectly, do you use gold to upgrade your cars? I have been avoiding it for the most part.
I'll try my best to explain my technique in one shot. If you need help in any other techniques ask away. The only time I use gold to upgrade my car is during PR requirements. Since I have been playing from day 1 it must have made it easier for me to obtain 100%. You do not need to get 100% on each series straight through. Go as far as you can in a series by saving as much gold as you can. The only time you should purchase premium cars is when super discount arrives weekly. You can spend as much R$ as you want since refilling your bank roll on regular currency is pretty easy. Go through each series only to unlock the next series. The more series' you have unlocked the better your chance in purchasing a premium car that would usually be locked if you wasted gold & time trying to get 100% on each series. With IAP prices of gold at sky rocket prices definitely means the devs want you playing for a long time also if you see achievements having ridiculous ones such as 5000 events completed and even higher. I've been playing since day 1 and I have 3 cars left to purchase. I don't expect to see a discount so soon but the latest agera r discount really did shock me in which I took advantage.
Whomever is not watching all the free videos for all the free gold is losing out. I've probably got 15 free gold and still going.
Stopped playing this game several months ago because multiplayer wasn't really multi*player* since it was all AI but now with *real* people to play with, am thinking restarting and giving it another go
It's too bad you can't just race your friends with any car you have; you have to progress thru the tournament.
