    1. Sign out of Game Center but stay online.
    2. Open rr3 and check back on series you've completed.
If its like mine, you should see some of your series showing less than 100% complete. Mine have 1 or 2 tt's showing "new". If I race that time trial, I get the 3k r$ and 3 gc completion bonus, yet it doesn't take away he "new" status, so I can rerun it again. And again. And again. I've made over 100 gc today alone by running the same tt over and over again. With 2 pips, you can make 6 gc every 16-18 minutes or so. If you can do it, use one of the top tier series and short races.

I hate Endurance races. Some of them are almost impossible without maxed upgrades...

  4. This game is playing well on the ipad 4, seems like the resolution and framerates are much bettert than on an ipad 3.

Some endurance races are still impossible with fully maxed out cars!

I know what you mean. But the easy way to beat these races is to log out of gamecenter and run the race against the AI bots.

While the game is running open your general app and log out of gamecenter.
    Then close the game
    Then turn off WiFi
Then load the game and it should bring up a dialog asking you to log into Gamecenter. Just close or cancel this.

Now you can run offline against the AI bots which are much, much easier to beat in Endurance and Hunter races.

    gold robbery

I bought the Lexus LFA today, and if that wasn't a mistake to start with (it sucks), I also paid 104 gold for it instead of 78 (as per the 40% promotion currently running).

What happened was I bought the car on the showcase screen that appeared as I unlocked it in the V10 grand open series (I think). Even though the screen clearly showed the 40% discount, the game only applied the 'regular' 20% discount, robbing me of 26 gold.

I opened a ticket with Firemonkeys, do you think I'll get it back?

That sucks. I feel bad for you. I almost did the same thing but fortunately I bought it through the 40% promotion. The really sucky part is that you might need to spend more gold on upgrades to unlock all the events you need to open the Porsche series with it. I'm not positive about that yet as I've got 5 more trophies to get but I can't get any more until I buy 6 upgrades to get the PR I need to unlock the next couple races. After that I'm expected another big upgrade requirement to unlock the last few races I need. The car isn't that much fun so I'm not thrilled about having to upgrade the heck out of it just open the Porsche series. For that reason it's on my back burner as I work through the Battle Italia and Bentley/Mercedes series first.

If you read message 4497, you wont care anymore for the missing 26 gold.

Noob (but serious) question of the year:

Is there any practical difference between crashing into another car/cutting a corner to slow down on a turn or actually braking into the corner. Either way, it seems it still takes just as long to get back up to speed, right? Aside from the fact it makes me a bad driver, I am just wondering if I should really worry about cornering/braking better if it will make a difference in gameplay?

Hi to you, and to everyone as this is my first post here. I have been playing since the first day of RR3 and played the previous games as well, though I took a hiatus when the game drove me nuts.

I'd answer as best I can: crashing into the BACK of a car in a corner has few benefits, but one is you miss the braking zone (so you are ahead by that much distance--usually about 2-3 positions). The disadvantages: 1) you are not in control, and if the impact is hard enough you end up pointing a random direction and you are way behind, and 2) you are speed matched or slower than the car you hit; in-fact, they have usually just gotten a huge burst of speed added just around a corner and can make huge gains on you and may even pass a car on the straight. I love getting hit in the ass after a corner. 3) you have taken damage which will slow your car, sometimes so you will have a poor finish to the race, but usually not enough to make a difference in one or two such hits.

Breaking well and turning in at the exact moment is better. You carry better speed onto the following straight and are not damaged.

The very best thing, and something exceptionally hard to do until you're very practiced, is to break to a controlled speed and GLANCE OFF THE SIDE of a car in the corner. You take less damage, keep your speed (higher than you could achieve with breaking alone), and you frequently, but not usually can at least knock your competitor off track onto the grass, slowing them by a percent or 5.

Do not take shortcuts. You do benefit with shortcuts for events but it's not good practise for time trials. When you complete the game the time trials will be your focus. Win races as clean as possible. When it comes to time trial tournaments you will hit "A" ratings on first try.

Why does my laptime flash at times in the middle of a race? I thought first it was an indication of beating my previous time in that lap, but many times have seen this happen even on the first lap of a race I was trying for the first time.

It's a time for that sector of the track. In most cases timing for laps is broken down to 3 sectors of the track, it's a good way to gauge how your lap time is progressing... Improving your sector times will improve your overall lap time.

In the past I've been pretty harsh on this game because of it's F2P pricing. I even got mad enough at once to delete it from my device (thereby losing several days worth of progress) and put it down for many months.

But I've come back to it recently and have put many more hours into it and got to thinking about all that this game got right and what I really owe it. Fact is, I do owe this game something because I haven't paid a dime on IAP to date and yet I've spent 162 hours on it, collected 54 cars and completed 60% of the career. I've been playing games for over 35 years and I think there are only a handful of games I may have spent more time playing on any platform.

Even after spending all that time on it I've never felt like the game was a grind. I've never re-raced an event I got gold on just to collect money. And I've almost always had enough cars to keep me playing for hours before having to wait for repairs. (keep in mind I got most of the cars and events unlocked before the dreaded patch).

The graphics and sound never cease to amaze me and the controls just feel perfect (even though the physics is fairly unrealistic). The game is just plain fun. The difficulty feels about right to me as I generally can get to 75% complete in any series without upgrading any cars as long as I unlock and purchased them all along the way.

I really do feel guilty for not spending any money on a game I do enjoy. Unfortunately though some of the new Ferrari events are locked behind a series that I would have to grind away for months to finish. So it's unlikely I'll ever be able to see those events. Having spent most of my gold on the other cars I'm left hundreds shy of being able to afford the Agera R which I would need to complete the Zenith series. Even if I spent $50 on 400 gold I would still need to grind out 100 more gold just to buy the Agera R at the discounted price. Even considering all the fun I've had I can't justify $50 to buy part of one car. If that price was $10 I wouldn't even hesitate to buy it but therein lies my frustration.

Still, even without the Ferrari series, I've enjoyed plenty of great cars and wonderfully accurate tracks for many, many hours. And for that, I do thank FireMonkeys for making a really great game.

  17. Man, this game plays so much better on an ipad 4 framerate and graphics over an ipad 3, but got used to playing on hdmi tv, and ipad 4 hdmi sucks. Oh well, guess will have to play on the smaller screen.

Those do look great. No doubt they'll be locked behind the Ferrari series or require massive gold to purchase (or both). It's unlikely I'll ever be able to drive these.
