The idea for weekly time trials for bonus R$ and gold is good. But the setup is still in need for improvements. The current setup just keeps the hackers rich whom can afford to max out their cars early therefore giving them "A" rating. Whereas B rating players know they are doing perfect but cannot achieve that "A" rating since premium currency is a problem and will not want to lose their saved gold for premium cars on upgrades unless required to get 100%. "B" rating, give us at least 20 gold for the every week of time trial bonus.
Sorry if this has already been asked but is the game getting a 64bit makeover for the iPad Air?? Thanks in advance for any replies PS the game already runs better as expected but I'm sure there is even more that could be done with the extra horse power under the hood (get it?) lol
Not bad. 100 gold coming my way. This sure does help when every premium coin matters. I see a bright future for purchasing cars now
I'm playing GT2 and enjoying it, but came back to RR3 and I still prefer this game. The handling is just so much better. Also, cockpit view is godly, while it's absolute garbage in GT2.
Mmmmm, no, it's not my first language. Can anyone explain what you understood? I was talking about the sensitivity bar in the options menu... EDIT: sensitivity, I mean sensitivity, not sensibility. Sorry!
It wasn't a dig at your language ability (I work with non-native speakers all day every day), just that the mistake made the comment radically different, and funny.
Any other achievement buffs out there? I challenge someone who normally plays with assists (to keep the playing field level) to get the 100 first place without assists achievement first. Right now, I have about 30 first place wins without assists. If you do the Head to Head speedway race (first race in the fifth tier of the second series on the first page), its easier to get the achievements for races and wins without assists - as you only have one car to contend with and less turns overall. Still got to get better with the brake so you don't do sideways skids, but it is probably the best race for those achievements.
I feel as if I am the master of this game now. I got fed up of deleting hackers that I decided to accept them all and add more. I'm sure 3/4 of my firends list hack but they only made me better. Now I'm winning tournaments, time trials, getting first place in all my races. I've had a great start in the game too by not spending unnessesarily of my gold coins. A few mistakes here and there that can be maintained with perfect spending now. I'm still in the ship of completing the game at 100% being possible for me.
@firemonkeys, You need to address the weekly time trial tournament and get rid of the hackers... How the f@?# is an Audi R8 3rd at Silverstone when it's not one of the vehicles available??? And please explain how I am 21 sec slower than 1 st place in my fully upgrades BMW? The time trial tournament is a good idea, but in most cases the people receiving Gold are the ones who need it least...
This will be my 2nd time winning 100 gold. And I am a non-hacker. Receiving 100 gold as winnings every week sure does help. It's great that they set the standards real high. Even money hackers would struggle to achieve if they are truly rookie drivers. As for the time hackers , by the deadline they are cleaned off the database just like the previous tournament.
Can someone please list the cars in the Legend Continues series (and in the order they are listed in the game)? Thanks. The banner indicating how many more trophies are needed blocks the list of cars so I can only see some of the letters. It looks like the Shelby 66 Cobra is the one listed - if so, that is great, as I still need to buy that one and seeing as it costs a lot of gold, I would love to catch it at a discount if I still can.
? Only got the 66 Cobra listed? If that's what you mean, that would make it like that other series with only that Honda car in it. Hopefully I will still get the discount when I unlock that series. I know the car was on for half price a little while ago - but I simply didn't have the gold. It takes soooo long to get a decent amount of gold.
I heard that! Cobra is my all time dream car in real life so when it was introduced I got it and then burned up all my gold doing instant upgrades. Then of course I realized how dumb that was and torched my game and restarted from scratch. Once I did that I was able to pick it up for the standard 20% discount when it was unlocked in one of the earlier series. My policy with the game now is: -Start a new series only when I have $1 million banked unless I already own all the cars in the series. -Buy cars only when they are free or at a discount unless there is no other way. -Watch when a new car will be unlocked in a series to be sure I have the cash before I win the race opening it up. That way I can run the first 2 or 3 levels of $ upgrades before its even delivered. -Only spend gold on car upgrades when I can't win a race without them after grinding on a race for a week or so. -Spend gold on the lowest cost items first. It's working out for me so far. I'm about to start the Supercar Masters Series with the Lambo that I had to pay full price for. 394 gold and 1.3 million cash on hand. I also cloud save my game pretty frequently now in case I bonehead some purchase. Oh, and I make it a point to VIP a car every now and then because I play the game so often that I want throw firemonkey a bone.
I put this game down for the past 6-8 months because I was so irritated with the prices and the fact that the new updates locked out cars forcing you to buy all the cars a series. The new Ferrari update is absolutely ridiculous. I'm level 100 and have spent hundreds of hours with the game but I have not been able to get the Zenith series past 25% because the cost of the cars needed to compete in that series and the time to wait for repairs of those cars is game breaking IMO. The fact that the Ferraris are locked behind that series just tells me that the Ferrari update is only meant to be played by people without families or financial commitments who have invested countless hours in the game since day one. Casual players like my self may as well consider those last few updates out of reach. That said, there is a lot of fun to be had in the lower tiers. I'm going to work through the V8 naturals and some of the Mercedes series and have what fun I can. It's a shame that this game is still so money grubbing and that so many people are willing to pay the outrageous fees. I'd definitely pay up to $20 if I felt like it would unlock me several high end cars but I can't justify that money when it barely gets me a low level car. If you can accept the game as it is you can have plenty of fun for free. The problem is when you get to the point where you might want to spend some money the value for your dollar is very low when compared to racing games on other systems. So take it as far as you can and just accept that some of the high end cars will generally be out of reach unless your wallet and free time is extensive. The high end cars aren't worth the trouble anyway as you get just a couple races in before you need to wait for over a day for repairs.
All Calid points Wedge, I was lucky enough to have all series unlocked before the update where the lock was introduced. The waiting for a day for repairs is with older versions, for the most part it's a few hours on most vehicles, the expensive ones are longer yes, it's the cost of upgrades and the timers involved there that are a killer. Since the introduction of the PR, I have not been able to complete series, as at some point to meet the PR requirement HAVE to use your gold to upgrade.. And the return on upgrades is very small now, so you are required to perform a lot of upgrades to get to the PR requirement. I've said this before, I love and hate this game.. I play it daily still, which is the most I have ever played a racing game on any platform ever, I would have easily Paid $20 upfront for this.. What I hate is the fact they force the IAP to allow progress, once you've completed the majority of series gold becomes scarce... I have spent real money on this, justified by how much I have played this, but it still felt like I was rewarding bad behaviour.
Why are you in such a rush to complete the game? You say you like to play it casually and you also say that you've put hundreds of hours... Why don't you just accept the fact EA is looking to have you enjoy the game. There are achievements that say something in the words of reached level 1000 like Aussiebob, played 25,000 events, etc. it's clear they want you to be playing for a long time.
On an emotional level I agree with you but rationally this game is about gouging people for money, pure and simple. I love the game, play a race or six most days but I am under no illusions that while the makers of this game are indeed wanting us to be playing for the long term; they want us to be spending, all the while. The game being fun and a joy to play (before one gets timed out) is no excuse for the inveterate price gougery.
