Are any of these thrown into a previously existing series? I missed out on a chance to get the classic Cobra in the last update because I had already completed most of the series they added it to.

600 gold sounds crazy, especially when I defended this game like two days ago, saying the gold-only cars were mostly attainable through regular play. I'm eating my hat... and my words!

The new update is out! The VIP system is interesting but still a far cry from a true timer-less experience.

I really like this racing game - the variety of races keeps me coming back. One thing that took away some of the enjoyment though was having to micromanage each racing series if you wanted to take advantage of each car sale as that car was unlocked. That meant often I couldn't just race my favourite cars in their series without making sure I wasn't winning too many and accidently unlocking too many tiers. Today, I just went for broke and just started racing. That means I will have to take longer to buy some cars (might not be as adventurous when I start getting some really high priced cars in my sights), but I am having a bit more fun. Unfortunately I banged up my McLaren too much on a Melbourne track - kind of foolish, now I have to wait for it to be repaired. But a maxed out engine on the McLaren kicks butt! The series with the Mclaren seem to bring in more cash too - so it actually might not be much longer to buy the few cars I have next in line anyway.

I noticed to Vip my Mclaren it would cost $1.99. The game referred to it as a tier 2 Vip (I think that was the term). What does that mean when we come to the really expensive cars? $5 or $10 each to Vip? Might as well just sign over your firstborn now, then just race... ;)

Yeah, finally got my 20th car!

I know alot of people complain about the car and upgrades that use gold - but considering that there are at least 1000 levels you can get in this game, earning 3 gold per level and five every fifth level (that's 17 gold every five levels - 3400 gold for levelling up to 1000, not counting gold earned throu each series). Of course, it involves a lot of grinding and racing, but at least it is possible. Used a lot of my gold to upgrade my McLaren quickly - man, that car is sweet.

The way they charge gold for cars and upgrades later in the game, 3400GC won't cover it. I believe to upgrade the Shelby 427 takes about 500GC, to buy the new Porsche RSR is 600GC (480 discounted)... Then there's upgrades... Leveling up after level 100 can span a couple of days (dependent on how much you play) fore it's about 2-3days between levels. It's along haul to get to 1000.

I wonder if there is a max level.

Level 1 Vip delivery upgrade is $.99, second level is $1.99. Anyone have any idea what the max level and price is?

I think it was in a more recent update that they let you choose between cash or gold for upgrades. While gold is a premium currency, I feel like I probably won't play the game through to 100%, so being able to use those coins on upgrades, and save my cash for new cars, is a nice addition.

I just got my 37th car, I'm level 68, and I currently have 457 gold. I would recommend skipping over the Classic American Muscle, Porsche 50 Years of 911, and the two Bentley/Mercedes series unless you're crazy about those cars. It's just not worth getting cars that you can only use in their self-contained sets of races, especially when you consider the earlier cars in each one are likely severely outclassed by the ones you'll be buying towards the end. With the PR nonsense, it makes it an even worse proposition since you won't even be able to use half of the cars in a majority of the cups.

On a side note, does anyone check the forums on the Firemonkeys page? that RR3 board is full of some crazies. One user claimed to keep his .ipa's backed up on multiple raid arrays...

For the Time Trial races - a good way to make some quick money. Play the same race over a few times and beat your previous time gives you a nice bonus.

Thanks, and sorry, care to explain further? What do the bars mean, etc?

You use one bar for each race - so the downtime to getting some easy money if you can better your time is that you have to wait or our drive bars to refill.

Never noticed that about the upgrades.
Might be very useful down the line. I have 54 of the cars (or so) and about 400 gold at level 128 so once I have the Porsche RSR (new top line one, might have name wrong) might go with that strategy.

On the side note, that's not even the craziest I've seen there.
The amount of hate spam, trolling, bullying of those positive about the game, derogatory comments about the developers and the site administrators and constant stream of just pure vile hatred from 20 or so alleged fans and alleged long time forum members is just pure disgraceful.
Perma banning about 20 of them would be best for that forum.

    Difficulty getting worse.
Receiving money versus spending money on cars and grades feels quite unbalanced.
It's such a shame this game is drowning in pure greed and forcing you to buy IAP harder then ever before.

There are also a few rare endurance races with GC friends in them with ridiculous 20 - 35 km races. Simply impossible. :(

It actually is a good quick way to make an extra five or ten thousand.

I found a glitch. Random cars show damage on main screen even when I have not used them. I have noticed this happening pretty often since new update.
