Yeah ... just wish i could afford to get anywhere near some of the upgrades necessary to unlock divisions .... on one of my cars i need a 58 gold upgrade ... thats £6.99 ($10 usd) ... for a single upgrade done in-app ... i know a balance had to be struck between making gold a 'win' purchase if done too cheap and expensive but that balance can't be this off to be right surely. And i genuinely want to give Firemonkey some money for this game as despite all the slight misgivings in AI, timers etc .... i've had enormous amounts of fun from it .... 109hrs and counting on 1387 races done. I probably enjoy this game more than i do something like Gran Turismo .... But the only way i can give them money is through IAP .... and because i am deeply against this business model i'm finding it hard to... and if i was to do so i'd like it to be of value to the game too .... i'd happily give them something like the £13.99 purchase in exchange for say 1000 gold instead of the measly 150 (which would get me 2 or 3 upgrades)
I have to agree that the price of gold in iap is too high and does need rebalancing. The only way I see it working though (because of those that have already bought it) is if they did sales every weekend or so. Similar to what Gameloft does with Blitz Brigade. Frequently there is 50% off packs of diamonds or 50% extra diamonds. Or some variation or other that makes otherwise unreasonably high iap more reasonable and effective. If a similar thing was applied to this, I could see it being much more useful. I'm fortunate enough to have stacked up a lot of gold pre update through series completion and then getting more with the new events and completing series again. But sales on it would push me to buy some more if I considered it a value for money proposition.
Who else agrees the PR requirements are resulting in not being able to play the game at all? sidenote: These requirements are ridiculous; I often win races when my "direct" rival is 1k yards away. If I can win for so much distance for what reason should I upgrade my car?!
50 of 58 cars owned. I've accidentally clicked a few times to speed up upgrade process to waste gold. All in all so far seems gold well spent. The only gold cars I have yet to purchase is the final tier. Gold upgrades will be a problem.
The endless nickel and diming in this game makes it profoundly unenjoyable. Just let me buy it for $9.99
Someone who owns a corvette.. (any vette) How's the oversteer? As in, is it there? Is there enough oversteer to make it fun enough to buy it over some other, faster car? I'm very familiar with the corvette but RR3 is kind of anti-oversteer. I only want to buy if they got the handling right. I had one before I lost my progress but never really drove it so I don't remember.
Hi all, what's the max AI real racing 3 has on track at once? I think its 21 , but im not sure. Thanks
Actually, i phrased my question incorrectly, Does that make 22 cars in total on the track including the player? Thanks
For those interested and maybe not aware if they haven't played for a while, the Bugatti Veyron is half price at the moment!
Sucks I can't even buy it since I have not unlocked the tier yet... I hate this game... I have 1 million coins and I cannot purchase the Bugatti because it is still locked.
THAT SUCKS!!!! I'm one of the lucky ones that had 90% completed before the last update so I was fortunate to not have many cars locked(only the new Mercs and Bentley. I probably would have stopped playing if it was all locked off.
For almost all the cars, there are at least two discounts offered via working your way through each series. You just need to carefully manage your racing in each series with your finances - making sure you have enoug money to purchase the next car at 80% cost before you unlock that tier (taking into account whatever money you will also get from opening up that tier). When I had first started playing, I had missed a few sales, but thankfully was able to get those same cars at the discount by getting them in another series. I've only purchased one car full price - and that was because it was only available in one series (the first car in that series too) and I had to buy it outright to open up that series. I think it was the V8 Muscle series.
my feelings exactly ! wasnt like this at the beginning, you just needed the ingame cash, but that obviously wasn't lucrative enough for ea. well i'm quitting, and going back to real racing 2. have had enough of this crap, its not a game, just an ea money machine, with gaming elements
Another update coming soon. American muscle cars included like the Mustang and AC Cobra. Source is the Firemonkeys forum but I couldn't copy and paste the screen shot on my iPod.
