For the last week, even though I load the game several times a day, it hasn't gone past the first day's bonus. Anyone else have this problem?
Haven't had or heard of that problem. Unusual one. Might be down to either being offline or some kind of sync issue. Don't know really. If you set up a ticket on this page https://getsatisfaction.com/firemonkeys You'll get a reply or a solution. It will take a bit of time as there are a lot of stuff for them to go through but its the best shot of a solution if they've come across it already. Good luck with it. Derogatory and offensive one was deleted for obvious reasons and ones that quoted it. Just excellent moderation really and keeping it civil.
Shame to me downloading and trying to play this again after the update. Even with less repair options, there is still the unlocking factor. Despite the great graphics, 1000+ events, and more cars than RR2, RR1 and RR2 still appeals to me. Also, I just noticed, each game in the series, from RR1 to RR3, it seems to have more and more thick steering, though RR2 is the worst. I love steering in RR1.
Why was my post deleted? It wasn't personally attacking / defamatory but merely my personal opinion about the game...
Anyone think that ea have toughened up the difficulty ? Got a lot of 1st places over the week but now I'm getting 2nds , 3rds and even placed 5th in one race.
Wow, I too like Jbruu just popped up in this thread, it is a disaster. I too like others was wishing for the best ios game ever, to be thrown through the loop with wait timers and TSM. It's really too bad. However, Firemonkeys did do alot of things in updates to make the game somewhat manageable, though I too think this could have been one of the best games on ios. But soon, will have to unload RR3 to make space for A8, just wish I had more disk space, cause I still like to play RR3, just hate all the flamewars that erupted here on TA over it.
I LOVE some of the tracks in this game. Sydney (the fake track) in particular is one of my favorites. But TSM data ruined it for me more than any timers. I'd rather have AI and some kind of time that's reasonable to make. The wait timers didn't bother me as much as I though they would, but the underlying game is what had me backup my save and delete it. Maybe when EA is done cashing in on this, they'll put out a + version or something without IAP's at some fixed price. I'd like it to have maybe 100 events rather than 1000+. That's just too much content of racing the same tracks over and over for me.
Someone please clarify if the daily bonus applies to one and the first race or all of the races for that day? I notice daily bonus is full of glitches. In one day it changes 2-3 times and other days it doesn't change or recognize anything. The rest of the time it only gives me a daily bonus for one race.
Yup the bonus is only for the first race of the day. I choose the gt1 race at Bathurst. It's a 5 lap race but with the bonus at 100% it nets me $30,000 each day!
I can´t find that race, had a look at all the GT1 championships. any hints would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry, Gt1 Grand Tour. Series number 16, the supafly intercontinental showdown rnd 2. (Interestingly I thought I would try the mount panorama race in the final series of the GT1 Grand Tour and it only paid $13,000 with the 100% bonus. )
For me the game's a mess now. I opened a NZ account just to grab this one during the soft launch, and now it's worse than the first time. Some things have been fixed, but others are just broken. What about car unlocking for example? I have a locked car which supposedly needs +11 cups in the first races, but I have already finished all those races with a gold award Also, all the time trials take forever to load the times. Sure, my 3g connection is lame, but how can it take two minutes to load times? With 30+ cars bought and at level 70, I ended up backing up the savegame and deleting it. Getting much more enjoyment from NFS: MW...
I'm guessing you mean how many events did I complete as all the tracks were raced on many times. I think it was a couple hundred events with the majority getting gold. Maybe around 250 not counting grinding events to get 1st or for cash to buy cars that were going on sale. I went back and played through RR2 and it filled in all the blanks of what was missing in RR3. The AI was a big one. I knew the TSM AI in RR3 was pretty horrendous but after playing RR2 it made me realize too just how bloated the game was with events. I didn't have to be that bloated, but it's freemium so the idea in game design there is to keep people addicted as long as possible with an insurmountable number of tasks. Meh, I'm just not that easy. Still, I wanted to give the game a chance to judge it for myself. In the end it's like a lot of freemium games... a near infinitely long grind. I made the same observation before the US release... but people didn't think it was fair to judge from the sidelines. At first, I thought I might be wrong about the game but the more TSM data came in the worse the experience got and it became a catch-22 of gaming. Press on knowing I'll never be able to get gold in every race without deleting TSM data and going into airplane mode and grinding for many months... or throw out many hours of gaming considering it a waste of game time and move on to something else more fulfilling. In the end, I do cherish some of my time playing the game, but it was healthier to cut the addiction and move on to a game that could be completed in a week or less. That's my goal now with all games. So thanks to RR3 (and the nothingness of a game that was Nimble Quest), I'm burned out on freemium, runners, and other more casual games that have no overall goals other than to get you to play forever. I know they aren't for me and they don't meet my needs in gaming. Still, man I wish for a game the size of RR2 with the tracks of RR3. That would have been a heavenly racing experience. Same here, I backed up the save before deleting it. But I didn't stick around for the mess that was created when they tried to expand the game so my backup data is from before the changes and I have backups of the game .app as well so I can re-install that if for some reason I ever get the itch to revisit some of these amazing tracks.
The PR requirements are getting quite ridiculous over here, since I cannot actually race anymore. One really ridiculous thing is the fact that you have to start a new championship with a lame car, and then you have to buy two more cars until you get the good one. Another annoyance are the drag races: it's impossible to get 1st place unless you spend an awful lot of GCs. Newbies will be delighted to play this game.
Why would you load the NZ version? Yeah, I know alot of your experiences with RR3 weren't that memorable, but I found it fun on HDMI TV, though am pumped up for Asphalt 8, that game is rad from playing it at E3. May have to uninstall RR3 for it, but sometime or another I will load it back, thank god for the cloud save they put it in, hope it works right later.
Wow AppStore comments are nasty. The game definitely does not deserve 1star. Ups and downs are there and we as gamers do get stingy as well but I got to say still great game. Although the grinding needed increased atleast ill enjoy it longer. I do appreciate the occurance of possibilities to get free premium currency. I know conpleting the game 100% will be next to impossible but if it is possible to max out all the best cars for each event then it's a 5/5 from me.
