Just played with a Pagani Zonda R in the final series. I played the first two events and drove cleanly...yet by the second race the service bar was ZERO and I had to wait 7 HOURS to repair. Like srsly? Also, did prices of upgrades increase?
To me, Real Racing 3 has got strengths and weaknesses. It's handling and physics are brilliant, the controls perfect, and most importantly, the detail with which the tracks are replicated beggars belief. But, the lack of actual AI is a major low point. If only this had an actual scaled AI, I would not hesitate to grant it 5 stars.
I am thinking its because they did something about cheaters so the game seems a but easier now but I could be wrong. Whatever they did makes me play it a whole lot more though so its a awesome update for me.
Hi Sam. The game is now super easy and the cost vs reward is very much worse for the player. I've been blitzing through the races with no losses in cars with no upgrades winning every time. Before the update it was quite tough at times to win. I like the race structure and the new front end, I like the need to work up to the harder races but the ease of the events is killing this game for me. There is currently no impetus to sink more money into this game as the effective inflation means £5 spent now could only be worth £2 at the next update. All the best.
Stick with it. I believe as you play more it learns more about you and your skills. My races have been getting progressively more harder.
Hi guys. Please let me know if you agree or disagree with my observations: 1) The PR thing is very limiting. Previously, I would buy the best car in a series and use it till the end of the series, usually with level one upgrades only. However, with this PR thing, you need to substantially upgrade the cars. I am at a point where I am stuck in a few series due to insufficient PR. One upgrade costs me $80,000, and having to do this multiple times for multiple cars...you do the math. I have got $400k in bank, but if I keep on pillaging it on NECESSARY upgrades, how can I save to buy more cars (especially those above $1mil)? It doesn't help that prize money from winning races (and friend bonuses) has substantially decreased. Can somebody explain if I am missing something? It would be fair if the upgrades could be financed by your progress in the given series...but this is far from being the case. Also, I don't mind going in with lesser upgrades as I believe it provides better challenge anyways. I'm quite the hardcore racer. 2) Showcase events. Hmm...shouldn't they actually provide you with the car for these!? I'm delirious that to complete events 100% I need to PURPOSELY spend wads of cash on unnecessary cars. Why even call it showcase if you need to purchase the car?
Yes I have to agree with you on point #1 I see myself upgrading alot more than usual now. It does get costly too, I would much rather buy cars and get to race them than upgrading all of the ones I have just to unlock new cars. The unlock stuff is kind of hard now as you cant just save up money and buy whatever you want which is what was fun for me. I still like the update besides the unlock car thing.
So were we SUPPOSED to lose ALL of our progress/cash/gold/cars in this update? Trying to download from the cloud and my save isn't loading. That super sucks...
Before it was also a freemium, and not counting friend bonuses, I could win $20k++ in races. Now the max seems like $7k. Why did they do this to us. We put many hours, and they leave us hanging. The only solution to the lack of funds issue is if upgrades cost 3x less, or the amount of money we receive go back up to pre-update levels.
Although earnings has decreased drastically which sucks but I do not mind since it is a freemium and has the focus for players to continue playing. This new update is great. I notice hitting cars feels better and has a better success rate than it backfiring. The graphics is great. AI seems to have another impression where they drive offroad yet speed is not affected and on top of it seems as if they purposely drive offroad just to make it look cool. I think it's ridiculous. Many instances on linear roads a fleet of cars will randomly choose to drive offroad when they have no reason to be offroad. I've noticed 100% gold rewards have decreased. Please increase since you are asking for more gold in the long run for a 100% completion including all upgrades. I don't mind the decrease in R$ for friend bonuses. Everything else really good. Happy to play the game.
Can anyone confirm if the daily R$ bonus is for one race only(the first race of the day) or is it for every race. If it is only for the first race played on the day, then I need to make sure the first race each day is one of the higher earning ones.
All 25%, 50%...100% rewards have decreased. And yes, while I like to see the drivers running wide etc, it seems to not be at the expense of performance. They don't lose time at all while making "mistakes". Also, I can now confirm you can spin your rivals. Happened about 4 times already since the update, and never before. Graphics and handling seem as good as ever.
Does anyone agree endurance races are ridiculously long? I use the "offline" trick to complete these when I have a heap of them available and only when I want to 100% a series.
Sorry for posting and ranting so much, but I'm kinda pissed that to unlock the GOLD Mercedes, I NEED to buy the two cars before it. Come on...the cars are not cheap as well at $250k a piece. And each upgrade for the Pagani Zonda R costs a BOMB! Worse still, after cup events, the Zonda R's service bar can go from full to empty! I felt EA was balancing the game in the right direction in terms of the money/gold/timers up until this update. Here, their greed is for all the world to see. I just hope they will be able to make changes. Do you think they will do that? PS: I am really lucky to have put in 75+ hours before this update, so I already had a vast number of cars and events unlocked. But if I were to start from scratch on this update, the freemium would have killed me.
Agree, however I do think the cost of servicing has been massively reduced, which does offset the lower prize money to some extent. I do the same with endurance. Also, I have 806 GC and I after anyone's feedback on the Agera R. Is it worth it? Thanks
I would say it's a joy to drive, really, but it is also very limited. You can only race in one cup event before the service bar dips to red (or goes empty), and upgrades cost $100,000 each I think. If you can spend you GC on other cars, do so first. PS: How did you amass so many GCs?
