Mr Album I salute you. The whole gaming industry is in a pricing shambles. The competing companies have a lot of fighting to do this year in terms of pricing models, content and demographic. As gamers we need to adapt and be vocal when the time is right
I turned on my 3DS and played Mario Kart online for the first time in ages today. It's ####ing brilliant.
Good points. While many of us are angry, this is just a game after all, and we shouldn't lose our heads over it. Your mention of civil disobedience got me thinking. One possible way to protest this move might be to, instead of downloading RR3 when it comes out on February 28, pick a premium title coming out that day and promote it and buy to hopefully push it to near the top of the charts... Games the system, sure, but it might be a more effective way to get our points across than beating our fists on a forum that no one at EA reads...
All of you should consider: there's no such thing as bad publicity. This may have also been stated earlier...
And THAT is exactly the problem with IAPs when they are implemented like they are in this game: the player doesn't know how much they are going to end up spending to get anywhere.
Try to hold off on buying cars in the same class until your completed 25% of the cup. You get 20% of $4000 and 4 coins. I'm not sure about the other classes but it just happened in the Stock Challenge. For sure there will be EA cronies roaming these forums scouting for feedback. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a race reward increase before the US release.
Freeium can also be done right, look at Temple Run 2Â…even Gameloft begins to drop this Freeium thingy. I can always find some other things to do while waiting, say play TR2 , I like this game, so if they can cut the wait time into half, I may buy a pack when there is a price drop...
There is a new TA front page article on this game with a video. A good idea but I don't think 30 minutes is enough to form a scientific appraisal. Don't really have any feelings on it myself beyond that but I'm sure it will interest some people here. It seems a little odd though.
Exactly. I saw the notification for that new post pop up on my phone and was very eager to read it. Then I read that they only spent 30 minutes on it. *sigh*
Yeah, blowing all your coins and gold at the rate they did will work well for at least an hour. I'd like it if they put up a video what happens after that. TA waits?
Really? Sync between devices via F******k? Is this a joke or not? The more I read about RR3 facts the worse it gets. I was never a big fan of the Real Racings (I own them all) but I start to feel really sorrow for that business crap around that racer. It didn't deserve that. I'll NEVER make a FB registration! I hate FB! BTW. Action arcade racer Asphalt 7: Heat is FREE right now! Yes, there are IAPs, but you can EASILY buy all cars and unlock all tracks with won game money. And in multiplayer mode EVERYTHING is unlocked from the very beginning! Look at my sig, it's the best iOS game, nothing more and nothing less.
