Universal Real Racing 3 by Electronic Arts

Do you need all cars upgraded in a series (or at least the last car listed) to get 100% on that series?

It is a fine balance in this game between buying a new car or using the same money for upgrades. Got 13 cars - had enough for the Camaro, but then used it to upgrade another car. Well, tonight I should have it.

 

To get 100%, you only need to have all cars and get 1st place in all of the events. They don't need to be upgraded.

 

Can't wait for year 2105 when the car arrives.... ahhahaha

 

Updated it on my ipad2 today. Definitely a lot more TSM data integration. For example, what is this People icon with number on a series? Number of friend playing? I definitely have more than 1
Also, graphics seem to be downgraded:grass is not high quality, also road textures worse. Having said that, I didn't notice any performance bump, although there is a bit more feeling of speed.
FM are trying to fix horrible vehicle lighting:now the car is darker(shadowed) or lighter(in the sun). The transition is not smooth though, so it looks bad. Less reflections too, but I am not sure about the cause of this

 

I have 96% in the first series, but even with all my cars upgraded and in top working condition, I just cannot seem to get first place on a few races. Would it work if I removed the topmost players on those races from Gamecenter or would it just put other hard times/racers in place of them?

 

Just log out of Gamecenter, switch airplane mode on and do a few other races.
TSM should refresh after some playtime and you get easier race times to beat for first place.

If you go one race couple times in a row and you dont get first place you get weaker opponents!

And im sorry i guess i make some high times in there .)

 

I figure it out how to see that Corvette! When someone beat you in that third new event and you get RR3 mail and click on "race now" there it is! I try to get money for it it and try to buy it.

Someone tell me... Is the car that is on -40% right now worth it? Is it good? I am personally not looking to ever get all the cars or finish the game because it would be retardedly time consuming, so if it is not amazing I will be skipping it.

Is there any car that is tied like glue to the ground? I want one that is good and has amazing grip. Like, real amazing. Godlike amazing. Anyone got a candidate?

 

If you don't have plans of completing everything, then I don't suggest getting it. I'm not sure though, but it might be a good starting car for other events that would lead you to getting the "grippy" cars.

The grip on the BMW M3 GT2 ALMS is very nice. Same goes for Audi LMS, Porsche Spyder and RSR, then there's Nissan JR Motorsports. Those are the ones I can suggest on the top of my head.

 

Anyone else noticing this? Crazy text instead of event name?

Really? Yes I got the little update but after a race or 2 it's still an issue. Also noticed this just now. Notice the timer? It's not fixed.

 

After the 1mb update everything got fixed around here. Try force quitting the app, and restart it again, to see if it works.

If not, I would suggest saving your progress to the cloud, deleting the app, and reinstall it.

 

I most certainly did. Even made a screenshot.
But it was gone after searching for it again, so I thought it was a temporary glitch and never bothered to mention it here.

Yep, noticed that the texture detail was reduced on my iPad 3 at first as well. But there is a massive performance improvement!
Interestingly enough it seems that the grass and road textures picked up in quality again after the 1mb update. Looks better and yet the same awesome performance after updating to 1.1.
At the same time a friend updated to 1.1 and also got the 1mb update straight away, and she has the iPad Mini (iPad 2 hardware.)
Just like me, she had fine looking road and grass textures. When I mentioned mine looked worse and after I started it up on my iPad 3, the 1mb update made mine look fine again as well!
Had it changed for you after the 1mb soft update? It would be weird if it hasn't!

 

You can still see that Corvette if someone beat you in that new event "Modern Sports Classic" and also in "RWD Open Revolution" and you go there trough that mail icon. It can be bought but i dont have that money right now. I try that later .)

I am not sure, since I didn't do any screenshots to compare, but while road textures seem to be ok, grass is a bit washed out. It's all very subjective, you know. At least my device can run it decently enough
