Hi everyone, first post but long time reader of forums. Since 1.1 update, there are small face icons in top right corner of each series in main menu (see photo), with either a 1 or 2 by it. Anyone have any idea what they mean?
Number of friends who've entered the series. On a separate note: whose idea was it to put a Cobalt in the game? One of the worst cars out there, always hated it, and in the game I hate it even more. Played it once in its showcase event, now I'll try to forget I own it. Regarding the update, these are my impressions: - Improved frame rate (at least on an iPhone 4S); - The "upgrade car" menu after each race is totally annoying (as if the upgrade popups weren't enough PITA already); - The Camaro has wrong dimensions, seems like a midget. Compare it to the Mustang, and you'll understand what I mean. The Camaro is 54.2in tall, and the Mustang 55.8in, in real life, so why such a large difference in the game? - I enjoy that they fixed the broken glass sound, but after a big crash it almost seems like nothing happened; - It seems that they fixed the Endurance bug (I'm yet to find it), but if they actually pulled that off, they should've reset everyone's records while they were at it. How the hell am I supposed to beat certain friends' records? - On a funny note: there's actually a Corvette ZR-1 in the game (some people found it already) so we should be expecting it sooner rather than later.
There are several ways to do so, that's only one. I usually go for their driver's level/time played/events completed, versus number of cars/upgrades. I used to check those through game center achievements, but only if I thought a certain friend was cheatting. The new leaderboards are actually a great help, now.
I can't seem to locate this guy on my Game Center friends list. Anyone know what he would be listed as?
That's a tricky one. Probably his real name (got through the Facebook connection), and if his GC account name has nothing to do with his name, then you're out of luck.
What's with the naming conventions for the race types being all jumbled? Sometimes its referred to as (null) or O@Y or .PNG. ... and Southbank being referred to as Melbourne. Also did some of the vehicles get buffed? My maxed out skyline use to have 5.2 acceleration. Now it's at 5.1.
Also are the race pictures swapped between the "Global Production Pursuit" and "Modern Sports Classics"?
I think the jumbled stuff is a bug. South bank is an area of Melbourne. I guess they figure that Melbourne rather than Southbank means more as a location to a greater number of people.
Yes, they are. To be honest, all those bug (before and after the update) makes me doubt the beta testers' work. Some things are so obvious that not in a million days would go unnoticed to someone's really putting the game to the test.
Is it just me or do the Fame points accumulate a lot more slowly now. I have completed 35% of the coupe challenge as well as other events and I am still on level 91, in fact only half way along the level.
Agree. The soft update of this morning fixed the <null> messages and the game seems to run smoother now in my 4s. Unfortunately, the fame points granted after each race are much less now. I guess EA thought people achieved coins too easily. I've been able to get all the coin cars except the Koenigsegg fairly quickly just by playing. Maybe they are trying to get people to buy more coins. Btw, the 30% more coins IAP is back. Is it a one-time IAP, or do you need to pay for it every time you want it?
The 30% more is one time. But you only get 30% more on that purchase only, if that makes sense, it's not like you purchase it and get 30% more each time you win.
The jumbled stuff bug was fixed this morning through a cloudcell update. You have to force close the app and open it again. It will download 1MB and fix it. At least in mine it did. This bug seems to affect only users who, like me, got the soft launch version. I passed my savegame from the NZ to the SP version and I'm not experiencing any problems at all since this morning's update.
So if I'm not mistaken then, it's not a coin multiplier as in other games where you get coin doublers, but just a combo purchase of 20 coins and 100,000R$, right? A pitty, because I wouldn't mind buying a coin doubler, but not this other "pack"
