Man, this audi tt is beautiful! I got lucky, got a dark grey metallic color, wow, it looks great, so now I am not bummed anymore about buying it. Plus it was one of my roommates cars, so brings back memories. Take a look, it is a nice car.
But first race in, stupid ai car forced me into a barricade, causing my bumper to fall off. But lucky for me, there are no wait timers for damage! So yeah! I am back! Nice color, glad I got this color as default, coolness! Now I gotta figure out what to do with my 80 gold coins, any recommends?
I'd rather save them up. As for the start of that track, I usually attack from the outside on the first turn. Works well for me so far, so that you wouldn't get tangled up with the AI cars all going for the inside.
Save all the gold coins you can. They will come in handy for some of the cars (go for the Porsche 918 RSR when you can, with discount). My TT is blue, and I think I got lucky too.
Sorry if its been asked... What are the notification bubbles for over some of the events? I've gone back through them but can't see what they are for or how to make them go away.
They indicate that some of your Gamecenter friends have beaten your times on certain events. If you look really closely at the pictures under each event, you will see some of those notifications.
I want to add friends so I can make money faster without the risk of adding hackers. How can anyone tell if a friend is one? If you are not jailbroken please add me as a friend and mention real racing 3 on the quote line so I accept, thank you. P.s. if you don't mention real racing 3 on the quote it will be ignored since I constantly receive useless requests. I can't guarantee ill beat most of you but I sure can smoke the default players with zero assists.
Best way to spot a hacker, is to take a look at their achievements. When you see someone that played for a few events, but already has more than 40 fully upgraded cars, it's a hacker for sure. That's just an example, but when something in the achievements doesn't add up, we're most probably talking about cheaters. I've already reported some to Apple, through the option in Game Center.
Hi, I got a question... If I am racing 5 friends with my stock car and they have max upgrades will I feel the effectiveness of their max upgrades in the race or will everyone's car be reduced to stock to balance mine?
Once you get gold trophy you will unlock your friends best times. Game doesnt care if you use upgraded car or not.
Yeah it did. There is no scaling to make the races fair, if your friends set a time in their fully upgraded car that is the time you will be racing (AI weirdness aside) regardless of how upgraded (or not) your car is. I've actually had to log out of gamecentre a few times because of this - friends times prevented me from being able to win races until I had upgraded near everything on my cars.
If you have gold in the race then you race their best times so yeah, it makes some races really hard. But if you ram the ai drivers hard enough then they will end up not being able to catch up and they end up going a bit strange. I don't think it keeps track of upgrades, just race times. If you don't have gold then I think most of the folks that trickle into the races from your gc friendslist don't have gold either, but they may have upgrades and all which will make a huge difference. Endurance races is typically where things go bonkers. Regular races aren't quite so bad. In the end though I think it may be better not to have friends when playing this game.
True that. This is the first game I've ever played where I actually had to remove gamecenter friends because their endurance score was twice what 2nd thru 7th was and I couldn't get them off my race roster even if I turned off gamecenter/airplane mode on/etc. General rule of thumb, if you decide to 'see how far you can go' on an endurance you haven't gold scored yet, your just making the game that much painful for your gamecenter friends. On non gold endurance races I go approximately .5 miles beyond 1st place and then stop so that folks in my gamecenter who later face against me in that non gold race have a good chance of getting their gold metal.
logging out of gamecenter and/or going airplane mode then reloading the game usually defaults you to the developer racer times, much more tolerable. not sure how logging out of gc affects achievement progress though
The easiest way is to log out of game center, turn wifi/data off, connect your ios device to a pc with iTunes installed and a file browser like iFunBox.. then go in to the documents directory and delete all the files with different some file extension. I can't remember what it is, it's a few pages back in the thread... but they are tiny files and one is named something like friendslist, while the others exist for each race in the game so there are a bunch of them. The other way, is to log out of GC, turn off wifi/data, and play the game for an hour or so and it seems to clear out the data along the way at some point. Maybe an easier way (not tested)? Try creating a new GC account and logging in with it since it'll have no friends, and then use that when playing RR3. If you don't want other TSM data then after you log into that gc account kill your data connection(s). Good luck. Some of the races without TSM data are just as bad as the ones with tsm data. That 3rd section of races, the last group and the first race in that group is just hell. It's bad even with fully upgraded cars. It can be beat but it's just no fun.
Thanks guys! Yikes, it is far more complicated than I thought. Maybe I will just start deleting hacks, problem is some of my friends that I want to keep for other games have hacked Rr3 already. Too bad there isn't an easy option toggle to turn off TSm in the game. I wonder if I log into my Gamecenter sandbox account if it will turn off TSM, gotta try that sometime.
I just had to quote this, because that's how I've been feeling about the game. I was winning/losing some of the harder events, but I was feeling stressed or frustrated, even when I was winning, instead of just having fun. Had to take a brake from the game, and I haven't been feeling the need to go back.
