I'm in the process of updating all my apps and downloading new purchases to iTunes... once that's done (maybe a half an hour or so left) I'll give it a try. I just need iFunBox to run and I'm not going to try that with iTunes doing it's thing. EDIT: Ok gave it a try... worked like a charm. I deleted all of the .pld files from the documents folder including the one that was named friendsList.pld . Ultimately though it didn't make any of the events I've been struggling on any easier so ... I decided to do something crazy and just bow out of continuing on with my current save. I'm going to join the group here that started out with the hacked save and give that a try. It means basically starting from scratch with nothing complete. I just want to try out some of the other higher end cars and stop feeling so held back in the game due to the need to grind for money and gold. I did great on my own. I got real far and I can always restore my save and continue, but I know that if I kept on with that save that I'd be deleting the game today since it was backed up. I promise I will not post any new crazy times or anything.
Night, I can assure you I saved the 1 million or so. I'm not even sure what the exploit is that you mentioned and, to be honest, I don't want to know. That said, I've got a couple of mini car reviews: BMW M3 GT2 ALMS - This car has the best grip in the game relative to it's speed. It literally feels like it's on rails, and you can really nail those apexes where other cars in the series simply can't hold the speed around medium-high speed corners. Just needs a bit more power! Pagani Huayra - Repair times on this car are mental, and it just lacks the oomph of the two Koenigsegg's it's up against in the first series it features in. But it's still a very, very good car and I love driving it around tracks. Honestly, once people start getting these cars, replays are sorely lacking! It just feels like you can't visually appreciate all the hardwork it takes to get these higher end machines. It really would be a great feature to have, watching your drive around Bathurst, Spa and so on. Both of the above have high repair and service costs as you'd expect. It's just those wait times really are depressing. Also, one race I quite like re-running is the V8 International -> Maplethorpe Tyres Mid-Championship Charity Drive -> Head to Head Southbank as it nets you R$7,500 for a win in around two and a half minutes, plus an extra R$750 for beating friends. Only problem is the longer wait times to repair and once the Porsche's tyres go, it's a bugger to get round. Still all fun though!
Not suggesting it's anyone specific, just with a long list of friends that have the top end cars in the game that weren't in on the AU version, it seems like some have possibly used the hacked save. The cheat gives you every car, all upgrades, and a boat load of cash and gold. ............unrelated.... Nicely, despite being set to having 1 event accomplished, the unlimited gold let my buy my way back to try some of the events I was having issues with. Namely that Laguna Seca race (third set of ProAm events, last group of events, first event in that group). I managed to get to first for a short distance with a fully modified Shelby, but just got bashed in too much by the AI and set back to third near the end of the race. Thinking about the question "am I having fun", I had to say "no, not really", so knowing my save is backed up from before... I just up and deleted the entire game. It was good fun while it lasted but I'm going to put some time into RR2. I didn't really want to cheat my way to victory... but I don't want to slog away to save up more R$'s and gold. So Connector, there you go. This is how long it lasted me. I can always come back to it later, but for now... eh... it just stopped being fun.
Question: I have enough to buy the BMW now, or I can grind some more and get the discounted Huayra. What would you recommend? My favorite car so far is Audi R8 LMS (with quite a few upgrades).
It isn't hard to get the cash. It took me a few hours through two days to get the money for the discounted car. I dropped back down to lke R$9,000 lol. I spent a couple hours at most to almost get back to a million in the bank right now. I hit around 35 to 49K per race that I do. In a 24 min period, I get just under $170,000.
Amazing. An open discussion about a hacked save that is essentially a cracked one that has stolen iap directly from the developer through piracy and nobody is blinking. I guess this is what Toucharcade and its posters are now? Piracy and hacked saves with stolen iap are acceptable? And no, its not a cheat before someone jumps to that defence, there are no cheats in this. All the free gold, fully upgraded cars and rs are simply stolen iap. I hope you're all very proud. And for all who decide to go down this unethical and illegal route, don't be too surprised when you get banned from accessing the games servers and can no longer play the app or update the hacked version. The developer doesn't like piracy either and is perfectly aware of these "cheats" (pirated stolen iap) saves and is taking appropriate measures.
Of course. You just replace a couple of files then start the game and boom... all cars, upgrades, and more gold and cash than you could ever spend. ... I played a little RR2. I feel like in many ways I've upgraded games. Even starting at the bottom rung. Being able to just jump in and do a quick race, watch the replay after (and change cameras), not worry about repairs, and so on... it's just a huge step forward. RR3 had some awesome points, don't get me wrong, but RR2 feels like a full featured game. I didn't post to enrage anyone or say it's ok or not ok to use the hacked save. It's your view that it's completely deplorable and I can accept that. You probably have a similar view about the few emu's that have shown up on the app store. Even if you own the game it's a legal gray area weather or not you can download a copy of it and use that in an emu. It would be easy to then just say it's all bad. Others may disagree, especially for games not commercially available. There's a real deep rabbit hole that can be explored here. Not giving a proper tip to a bad waiter... driving anything above the speed limit... crossing the street where there isn't a crosswalk... the list can go on and on. It's hard to live a perfect life where all the rules are followed and I've failed at points for certain, so I have no room to judge.
Cool, you lasted about as long as I thought, and you got pretty far too, so that is cool. Much farther than I got even though I have not deleted it and play it from time to time. Really hoping for that fabled icloud save since I don't have a pc, but we'll see how much longer it will stay on my system. Getting to 4 good cars took awhile of grinding, so would hate to regrind again, but kinda to the point where I don't want to delete it, but the reality is, I will have to soon, maybe I should play for three days straight with your intensity, then maybe I will get bored and delete it. Hope the fabled icloud save is coming soon though, can't believe they have a game like 2 gb with tons of consumable inapps, and you can't save your progress, cars and coins. It's kind of sad.
I honestly didn't think I would be able to save enough R$ in time for the Pagani, but I am now at $700 000 and that has only taken 2 days. With some races netting upwards or 30k it's easier than I thought. I have also concentrated on 75% completing nearly all my current series in order to get the bonus Gold and cash as well. I'm at 397 gold with the Zonda in my sights. 2 Paganis in the same week, who'd have thought!
Just to clear, editing my post to declare it a "rant", as you so maturely put it, doesn't accurately represent what I said which was simply supporting a developer and taking a strong anti piracy stance. There was a time when Toucharcade and its posters would have shared the same strong anti piracy stance and have been pro developer. And to be clearer, I couldn't care less about emulators, never downloaded, never going to. Wasn't referencing them in the first place. And to be clearer still, the save file you are talking about has all the cars, upgrades "bought" (pirated), a heap of gold and cash. From the developers viewpoint and any reasonable person who supports developers, this is a cracked, hacked, pirated save file. Those using it will receive a ban in a similar way to the over the air tweaks are done. And deservedly so. And yes, it is illegal. It has content that is gained though in app purchases. None of that content was purchased by the original uploader or by anybody else who installs it. Using it is using stolen content. If this appears to be a grey area to you, send an email off to the dev or ask on the support page and see what kind of response you get. I'm sure their legal department will clarify it for you. If you condone piracy and theft, that's your personal choice. I however do not and consider it disgraceful that anybody employs those methods. Whether it is common practice or not doesn't make it ethical. No need to reply, I've no interest in participating further on this matter or with a forum or forum members that promote it.
I'm by Rip73's side, here. It's a shame that some people chose to go along this path, ruining the game for those of us who are dedicating some fair time to this game, only to have some races ruined by some players with the best cars, fully upgraded, without merit. And yes, it's easy to spot a cheater. When I find a friend on GC, with almost no achievements, but almost all the cars (and no "collector" achievement), it's fairly safe to assume he has hacked the game. That's when I delete them from my friends list, but that doesn't stop running into some other anonymous cheaters, who've decided to rip and stole, in order to be "better" than regular 'racers'.
I agree with Rip73. Hacking isn't the way to go. Simce the game is heavily online-based, it'll just ruin the game for a load of people who want to try and play it Personally, I'm starting to get to the point of finish. The game is starting to seem boring, and I just know I'm not going to be able to finish it all
Hey RIP, when did you get so fast? I used to be able to beat you... Now I am sadly watching you drive off into the distance
That's a good idea. I should go through my list of RR3 additions to see if any hackerz are there. A couple races I just won't ever be able to beat.
For the V8 Performace Brawl, should I purchase the McLaren MP4-12C for 65G with the gold I've gotten from leveling up? Or would it be best to just save up and buy the Porsche 918 Spyder Concept for $845,000? Thank you Add me on gamecenter: Deathnotron
To be honest. I find adding friends to be not in my best interest. I don't know if it is true or not but if my friend has all upgrades done to his car and mine is without any then I am basically playing vs his upgraded car? Or would his be just a basic setup? I have no intentions to ever upgrade. I like the realism is the driving at stock feels great. My only downfall would be gathering money at a slower pace which I don't mind since I'm not playing insanely. But I would like to have answered if my friends car would be a basic or with his full upgrades during the tsm.
Hey dude. Far too much time spent playing and perfecting racing lines. Minimum assists as well is very handy for outright speed but its very easy to get a corner wrong and have a very expensive race . No iap yet either but 34 or 35 cars (it becomes a blur after a while). I've kept my upgrades relatively low as well. Only fully upgraded the focus, don't really know why that particular car. No gold upgrades on any other car. Probably just spent too much time playing really. Got the 100 hours achievement a few days ago. I dunno if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Still enjoying the game a lot though. The r35 nissan has massive acceleration but the Porsche Spyder concept is currently my favourite still. The Audi R8 is really the best overall car though.
I have only fully upgraded the BMW 1 series. I think I am about 85 hours in, with 24 cars. I am gonna have to get that Nissan. You have the Pagani Harauya right? Is it worth it? I have almost got enough cash to get it. Definitely enjoying the racing still. Cheers
