What I had to do was play a bunch of other races, change cars up between tries and so on. After maybe 15 or so min the times became more reasonable. Bit finishing other events first seemed to help. Maybe it caches only so much data and playing other events that it hasn't downloaded data for helps? Also, despite having data (wifi & cellular if that's there) turned off, you gotta log out of GameCenter.
im new to racing games, is drifting (tires make screeching sound) around sharp corners good or should i brake and just turn, also whats the fastest way to turn corners
No you don't want your tires screeching(drifting),in this game.slows you down. Brake going in,accelerate out.
Zonda R Anyone else having trouble controlling the Zonda R? I haven't upgraded it..loses the wheels easily. Any tips with that one?
Hi there! I've decided to come by and drop a few lines, regarding my experience. At first, I was furious regarding FM/EA's decision to make this a Freemium game, I've kept the same opinion while playing the NZ version of the game (before the update to the timers), but after the European release (after which I've deleted the NZ app and reset my game) I must say that most of my complains were gone. I'm currently at level 99, with a little over 100h played, I own 32 cars (which only the Silvia and the Skyline GT-R were bought without discount), and I'm 58% through in the game. I haven't spent any money on the game, and even after buying some "gold" cars (the McLaren and the Porsche), I still have 738 coins, which I'm just piling up, in order to buy the Zonda R and the Agera R as soon as it shows up with a discount. My fear of hitting a pay wall are now behind my backs. My only complain is some awkward AI (like cars hitting me from behind without even trying to overtake me) and people who cheat and hack this game. I had some GC friends from the forums, that I deleted after realizing that they'd seem to have every car on the game, even without getting the 100 or 500 event achievement (and with some lousy race times as well). All and all, I think this is a great game, a technical prowess, and for anyone willing to dedicate a bit of time, a very rewarding game. In case some of you came by me on a race (Oliveira78 or Carlos O. depending wether you're my friend on GC or not), drop me a line.
I haven't had much trouble with the Zonda R, despite the insane wait times. If you have trouble with the Zonda the Veyron won't be much helpful; since it needs much more feet to stop you might see yourself entering the grass a lot at the beginning. The worst one, however, is the GT-R. It has such an insanely powerful acceleration you will need to improve the handling as soon as you buy it.
This is probably not the best place to rant about this, but I've wrote a big post about my impressions with the game a few hours ago, and it doesn't show… At the time I remember seeing a warning that my message wouldn't show until a moderator reviewed it, but now I'm posting new replies, and they're showing up imediatily. :/ Well, either way, making a long story short, I've played for a little over 100h, with no money spent, and I own 32 cars (Which only two were bought without discount). I'm trying to get 100% on all events, and saving gold coins for the missing gold cars (the Zonda R and the Agera R). I wrote a bunch of other game-related stuff in my other post, but now I'm not in the mood to write it all over again. -_-
Steering wheel B for the controls. I run with all assists off unless I'm on the Indianapolis Speedway in which case traction control comes back on. I prefer MOST games on my iPhone screen. I like seeing them on TV too but I got into handheld gaming some 13 years ago because finding time to sit at a TV to game was getting harder after marriage and later kids. Portable gaming was good fun to me. I liked how many of the later Game Boy titles were reminding me of my favorite console at that time, the NES. These days time at the TV is even more of a premium. I LOVE my iPhone. It's like Dreamcast though technically better. DC and NES are my favorite consoles of all time though iOS gaming is so unique due to the indi scene that I'm thinking it needs to be the 3rd in the trilogy of favorite game systems ever. Sounds like you've enjoyed the game. I was expecting a rant, but how could there be one with that much time and deviation out in unless the game ate your save or something. I'm surprised how much I truly enjoyed RR3. It's in many ways a step backwards from RR2, but having owned tha past titles I guess I didn't need this one to have all the same features. Still, a replay option would be cool.
Thanks for the info. I am still very shallow into the game cause I am a "weekend driver". I hate #10 a bit more cause it breaks the rhythm and it is more dangerous. As for #18, I see it a key bend to overtake your opponents.
Sync current device to iTunes and then restore when have new device. Or get iexplorer (or similar) and copy documents folder in the app over to computer and simply copy back and replace same folder once have new device. If have problems, google it, lots of examples and advice available. Iexplorer is my personal choice for saving back ups of progress of games. Much easier than iTunes for most games.
Yes, actually I'm enjoying it a lot. My missing post was also about how my initial impression (after the NZ launch) was left behind, and that I now enjoy this solid game, even with some major flaws, like the lack of replays, or poor AI, but overall I'm beginning to feel RR3 a superior game in comparison to RR2. Some opponents are quite hard (Rip73, I'm looking at you!), but competition is what drives me to improve, and get better at my driving. Just reached level 100, and tomorrow will try to win as much cash as possible, for the showcase event next week.
Ford GT Anyone have the Ford GT? Any tips? I made the mistake of buying it and I am not happy with it at all. Is it worth upgrading? Or should I get the Nissan GTR Premium in that group instead for $170,000?
That's a very tricky corner, but you should try braking early (as early as the previous corner), and then, when the speed is good for grip, let go of the brake and point the car to the apex. You need to have manual acceleration in order for it to work.
