It is tough at first because this bend seems innocent (from the cockpit view at least) at first but if you are not careful it throws you to the right -- if we are talking about the same bend (#10 on the map below): Humm, is Brands Hatch in RR3? If yes, I am to yet to meet it. I still (secretly) want the Top Gear track...
Well, if you find an easy way to save data files without installing any programs, then sure, pm me please. Thanks!
Observation: Yup, in a "highestspeed" event, you can simply ignore them both and go straight to the wall!
I've seen than quite often. The AI noses I to the first turn at francorchamps like a psychopath. Very obvious in head to head on that track but it happens in all that tracks races.
How much are you guys getting for a win on average not including friends bonus? I only seem to still get 5 or 6k and the most for a win and recently got about 7k and I'm level 49. This is still the case even using the Porsche 911 GT3 RS on the every day heroes event at the top. But just now I came 6th and won 6k but I remember getting the same amount for this particular race even when I came 2nd on it. I just thought the game was tight on giving out cash until I seen my friend win 14k on events I've already won and I didnt get that much. I tend to fully upgrade my cars, do I get less money for a win if my cars fully upgraded?
Um, it's in there. 4th event (second group of events, first race) in PURE STOCK CHALLENGE under SUPAFLY OPEN, is on that track. It's littered through the entire game. It appears 3 more times in PURE STOCK CHALLENGE as well. I'm more a hater of 18. For 21, as soon as you pass 20 be on the right side and then get off the gas and hit the brakes and dive into 20 (even cut it a little)... 22... same thing... stay hard left, dive into the turn. Really 18 is usually my folly because I can get through the tight turns before that but then cresting the hill before 18 I could easily be more than 110 mph which is just too fast to brake well unless I'm hard right and really dive into that corner and hit the apex just right. Too often I'll wait too late to brake and end up tapping the outside wall .. or I'll brake to hard and dive into the turn too much and tap the inside. Either way, I've nearly mastered that. ........... Connector, I'm working on getting a list of requirements to make it work. I'll PM you if I have any success. So far it's giving me errors about a missing .dll but I copied everything for itunes from my pc so I could place the specific files one by one until I can get it working (if it's possible). This will be good for me too when I'm not near my netbook.
What annoys me are the races where you start just beyond a corner. Everyone else starts on a straightaway yet you have to maneuver a turn as you are starting off and then hit the straight. This gives those who are in the front a major advantage and i've found it nearly impossible to catch up to them by the end of the race. Usually in those races i feel good if i can get to 3rd place just so i can get the trophy and not have to play it again. Then theres endurance races where first place is 35+ miles. I mean give me a break, i usually just try for second so i can once again get a trophy and forget about that event. I'm finding this game to be more frustrating than anything and really can't wait to erase this space hog off my device. I'm at level 50 and it takes me a whole day just to advance 1 level. I thought for sure i'd get a nice bonus when i hit level 50, but nope just 5 gold. What a let down. And what about all those stupid series that requires a car for one race. Do i really need to plunk down 100k+ plus mods in order to complete those tracks? It seems like a really good way of alienating your fans. For a free game with great visuals i've never been more disappointed in my life. I can only imagine the fury if we had to pay $10-60 for a game like this. Its these kind of games that make me want to go back to console gaming :/
The thing is, EVERYONE started behind the same corner you are starting behind when they posted the times that you are racing against via TSM.
I understand the rant... I agree that in some regards that TSM friends end up making the game harder for those lagging behind. Thankfully most of the TSM friends are reserved for after you get 1st. I think many of the friends that show up before then possibly don't have 1st place yet. On the need to do mods though, I have a mostly stock selection of cars. On the events that I have trophies I have 215 Gold, 18 Silver, and 9 Bronze. Getting first is more a matter of picking the right car and learning to master each course. Drag races are all about having the right car and timing the start and gear changes just right. It's overall pretty easy. The rate I've earned money in the game is acceptable considering it's free. I have 22 out of 46 cars. I have done 32 mods, but most of that was on only a few cars (one of which I pretty much maxed out and is most of the mods purchased). One last thing, that track you dislike is my least favorite in the game. Still, I've managed to get 1st on those races by learning to take each corner right and figure out the best places to pass. Usually on that race it's the 2nd lap where I'm going to get first... though some have happened in the third lap and that made for an extra exciting finish.
Ahh, Laguna Seca Cup. After the first 30 seconds of that track, I consider myself lucky if I'm in 8th place with only $2 - 4 k worth of damage to the car. I've tried playing it clean- e.g., not just bulling my way as far forward as I can as fast as possible- but by the time the first hill rolls around, I'm so far behind, there is no way I can place. Some of the tracks just seem too short for 3/4 lap 22 car races.
Take the second turn to the left by hitting the gravel and slowing down and following the dark path. It'll save you most of that damage as you can merge back into traffic. When you get to the super tight s turn, aim for the edge of the fence and start hitting the brakes when you get in the gravel. Between those two things, it's possible to do well. Really the hardest turn in that race is the one right before the start line.
Slow down (depending on the car) between the second to the last and the last white mark on the wall to your right. You'll hit the turn at a decent speed to get around it and still be accelerating faster than the other cars.
Yeah, if you get it to work, it would be cool, let me know, would make for a great tutorial on Toucharcade if it works.
It failed. I think iTunes has to be installed. Ifunbox though should work from a Jumpdrive. Maybe you could get permission for that to listen to music. But I haven't given up as I'd like to get this working.
34% completion after 40 hours. Already got 11 cars, in which I count the Veyron, Zonda R, 911 GTS and 911 GTS 4.0, and GT-R Premium as the best of the lot. Sounds nice?
Turn off Internet and see if it makes the distances shorter. (I think it should unless the top times are TSM friends)
