Then there will be times when there a moronic clot of AI just parked on the side of the road. I think Endurance is the strangest of all the races.

Just discovered that cars bought with gold can also have the 20% events discounts applied.

That Agera R is now that much more accessible! 640 gold is well within reach, I only need 200 more before I hit that.

I would upload a photo as proof but the app doesn't seem to be letting me. :-/

The goal of the game seems to be to get 100% completion in every tier, starting with the first tier and to buy cars at 20% off in the showcase races as they come up.

To earn R$ to buy the week's featured car, grind in races against your Game Center friends.

You seem to earn the same amount of money for the early tiers as the bottom tiers using the expensive cars.

You get bonus gold and R$ for getting 100% completion in each tier.

The bottom tier cars are expensive to service and repair, and the take hours to complete. The upgrades cost a lot more, too.

It seems the game was designed to get you to buy every car in every tier, starting from the first tier, because you get 20% off of each car if you play the game that way, and you get bonuses for 100% completion in each tier.

After reading the post here, I think I've been focusing on the wrong goals in the game. I thought the goal was to get to the later tiers with the expensive cars as fast as possible, because I assumed the earnings would be higher in the later tiers. That doesn't seem to be the case.

How much bonus $ and gold for 100% completion? I didn't complete any because i figured rewards were not worth buying an extra car. Dont you have to own every car in the group to even get 100%?

Yeah you have to own every car in the group because there are car specific events. So you have to get 1st in every event.

I actually took a screen shot of the Pure Stock Challenge screen when I got 100% on it. It was R$15,000 and 15 Gold. Not too shabby.

Except the 3 extra cars you purchased to get that cost you 100k. Unless those cars unlock many more events? I'm trying to figure out the best bang for the buck. I maxed my ford focus races. I'm close to doing that for ford shelby too. Any help is appreciated since i dont see another source of info on how the game works.

My path was to purchase the Silvia at the start... I skipped the Focus deal the first time around. I bought the BMW Z4 M Coupe from the second set of races (Street Spec Skirmish)... then between the two cars I played a bunch of what I had unlocked but was careful not to unlock those 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 12th events unless I already had the money for or already owned the car.

Down in Production Masters, the Focus or Silvia will give you access to the Road Car International. The BMW M3 Coupe will give you access to the Prime Production Matchup. If you passed on the Silvia the first time around, there's a second shot for it at 20% off in that Production Masters class. That's when I bought the Focus.

Another benefit of buying the Silvia at the start of the game was that you could play both that one production masters group as well as the first pro/am group and nicely the first car deal that would show up would be for the Silvia. So you own it, so you don't have to save for it and can focus instead on saving for the next car in that group. That was a nice treat of the earlier part of the game because it was my goal to buy EVERY car in the game after that M3 Coupe at discount prices.

Just look at the home screen of the game, look at which cars appear in which groups... plot and plan from there.

The easiest way to go about getting the cars for each group and working towards 100% is to jump between available events... or just sit there and grind on what you have unlocked until you have enough cash to move to that next deal on those 3rd/6th/9th/12th races.

Yeah, I think I will wait on one of those events to buy it. But I don't regret having bought the Zonda R not even for one bit :D

    Yeah, me, too.

Good point about the 3 extra cars costing 100k to earn 15k R$ and 15 gold.

I guess there are several ways to play the game. Either get 100% completion on all the tiers, or just buy the cars you want to race. So far I've been buying the cars I want to drive and have been ignoring the others, 20% off or not.

A lot of those cars don't seem to unlock other tiers, or are the starter car in a tier, which isn't too exciting.

    What do you think?

That's where looking at the events and planning comes in. But you have to own each car in each event block to get 100%. But even the lesser stat cars have races they excel at.

Anyone can choose however they want to play the game, but if you want to 100% complete it or become really good at it then you'll need to get all the cars at some point. 15k and 15G may not seem like that much, but you get bonuses at 25%, 50% and 75% as well as R$ for unlocking each event and money for winning and so on. So it's not that hard to earn enough to buy the lower level cars along the way.

    ...

On the subject if gold cars, I'll be saving up for that Zonda R and wait for the sale. It'll be nice getting the discount though I don't regret the McLaren or Porche gold cars that I paid full price for.

I see what you are saying, and realized your strategy after reading your posts.

I've already blown it on the Pro/Am World Series and others by passing on the 20% off deals. I figure I'll be able to complete 90 - 98% in some of the tiers. I don't know if I would play the game enough to get 100% in every tier.

I have been focusing on buying cars that will open other tiers, and that are the top one or two cars in their respective tier.

If I already own the car with the top specs in a tier, it is hard for me to spend R$ on a car with lower specs.

Some of the cars seem like they only appear in a few races, which makes it hard for me to justify spending R$ when I'm trying to save for a car that has top specs and will open other tiers.

I wonder what the game designers had in mind?

Great! Thanks for the awesome tips fellow racers. I always thought that wheel control is out for me and I am still getting used to tilt control B... Good thing I asked, if not I will just become very good at playing badly! ;)

Is there a level cap for this game? I don't see any other way to earn gold other than grind levels.. Is it worth spending gold to max out the upgrade for the starter cars?

I only upgrade a car when it isn't able to compete.

It goes up to at least level 1000 as there is an achievement for that. You also earn gold for finishing a class of races at 25%, 50%, 75%, & 100%. Bonus gold too at each 5th level up.

As for spending gold on upgrades, its not necessary. I 100%'ed the starter class of events without hardly any upgrades. Be strong, save the gold for cars. They are much more worth it in the long run.

I have just over 400 gold now. Should I buy the zonda R, or keep going for the agera. I just want to make sure the zonda R is competitive.

No upgrades if you don't have many friends lol. If you have a bunch of friends on there, unless they aren't upgrading their cars, you will have to to complete it. OR, don't use the friends hehe.

The game saves the best players for after you get 1st. I think the ones that show up before then haven't earned 1st yet.

I only managed to get rid of them after playing other levels for a while. Also had to close the app fully several times.

I've been thinking maybe I should register a secondary GC ID to log in as then play the game. Then close it, log out of GC and then kill data and try again. My thinking is a second GC account would force the app to wipe the crazy high scores in endurance races. That's the only trouble I've had and its not consistent either as I even finished one of those events last night with what seemed like a pretty hard distance to reach.

Just for fun, I'll throw mine out there as well:

    35hrs
    Level 54
    227/961, 23% completed
    189-Gold/14-Silver/13-Bronze
$154,000 in the Bank (went to $0 yesterday on the Spyder Concept Sale)
    14/46 Cars owned.

Favorite cars so far would have to be the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, the Porsche 919 RSR Concept, and the Shelby. Love the Shelby. Have only driven the Spyder Concept a few races, but I think I'm going to like it as well. Least favorite are the Lambo Gallardo (stupid sale) and the BMW M3 GTS (cannot stand that car for some reason).

So far, I've upgraded the Shelby about 2/3 of the way, the 911 GT3 about 1/4 and the BMW Z4 sDrive35is (also a car I like) about half. No other cars are upgraded.

Sitting on 174 gold. Now that I have the Spyder, I'll probably hold off on the Mclaren, save up for the Zonda and resign myself to never owning the Agera R. I haven't spend a penny on the game thus far.

Biggest annoyances at this point are, as everyone else has mentioned, the ridiculous endurance times (when you do an endurance race, FOR THE LOVE OF THE KITTENS, STOP .1 AFTER YOU WIN! Seriously people. Think of the Kittens.) and some of your TSM speed snap/autocross times, which are also quite ridiculous and, in the words of my eldest daughter, "make daddy yell at his ipad."

Edit: I take it back. I also find the way TSM is implemented quite annoying. The fact that the AI only accounts for your times and not your lines results in two irritating behaviors, particularly as ya'll get in faster/upgraded cars: 1) every car takes a perfect line in every turn, making it difficult to pass in the road, especially when I'm not driving a top tier/upgraded car and 2) when an AI car suddenly plays "catch-up" to its preset/TSM time and suddenly either accelerates to some ridiculous speed beyond that of which it is actually mechanically capable, vanishing into the distance like it was vaporized (I'm looking at you final downhill on Panorama) or suddenly, from out of nowhere, slamming into you from behind like the car was shot out of a cannon. As I said, I feel like this happens to me more and more in later races.
